Hello, MB3526886, and welcome to Wikipedia! My name is Ian and I work with Wiki Education; I help support students who are editing as part of a class assignment.

I hope you enjoy editing here. If you haven't already done so, please check out the student training library, which introduces you to editing and Wikipedia's core principles. You may also want to check out the Teahouse, a community of Wikipedia editors dedicated to helping new users. Below are some resources to help you get started editing.

Article choice

edit

I noticed that you assigned yourself the Prevalence of female genital mutilation article. I'm sure it's no surprise to you that this is an article that a lot of people have strong feeling about (both the subject matter itself and the way it is presented). If your edits to the article get reverted, please make sure to look at the edit summary of the person reverting the article, and make sure that you engage with them on the article's talk page before re-inserting anything.

This doesn't mean that you have to get permission to make changes to the article, just that if your edit is reverted, you need to engage in discussion and come to an understanding before you re-add anything. Ian (Wiki Ed) (talk) 16:16, 7 December 2022 (UTC)Reply
