Wikibreak
editHey Tachikoma, I wish you the best while on your Wikibreak. I hope that it helps to relax, and I'm really sorry that there are so many things weighing on your mind right now. -- Natalya 20:02, 17 August 2006 (UTC)
- The hospital!? That's no good! But I'm glad to hear that it does at least relieve some stress... in an odd way, perhaps. I hope you get better soon, but continue to stay unstressed. -- Natalya 16:01, 22 August 2006 (UTC)
- Well, at least you don't let them all snowball together. :) -- Natalya 04:31, 23 August 2006 (UTC)
You're welcome
editIt find it very hard to work with templates because of that. Most templates are incomplete or don't suit my needs,so I have some experience creating them. From my experience(and I hope I am wrong here) you cannot add certain parameters that are not template defined to a certain infobox.I find this very annoying. If you know of a way to sidestep this issue, please let me know. Not a problem
editHey Tachikoma, glad to be of help. :) Best, Sango123 23:34, 1 September 2006 (UTC)
- Fixed. :) Hitting the spacebar several times will always result in a single space when it displays. I alternated with non-breaking spaces ( ) and regular spaces to hopefully achieve the effect you were looking for. Otherwise, please tweak it however you like. Cheers, Sango123 21:59, 2 September 2006 (UTC)
No worries!
editNo worries at all, Tachikoma, it doesn't both me at all! I'm just glad it helped you to understand more of what was going on. -- Natalya 01:23, 2 September 2006 (UTC)
:-)
editThanks. I'm leaving Ireland in a few days. Anonymous__Anonymous 12:34, 2 September 2006 (UTC)
It's no problem about catching it, I find that a lot of people editing that article will have a rather intelligent (or comprehensive) edit summary but will often add information that is out of sync with the rest of the article... so I've gotten into the habit of actually checking the article after somebody edits it.
You do bring up an interesting point on the phrasing. I will try to explain what I think when I view each of these phrases (hopefully it'll be understandable). When I read "chronic difficulties in breathing" I read it as 'things outside of the actual process of breathing can interfer with respiration along with difficulties in the lungs' whereas with "chronic breathing difficulties" I see that as an obstruction in the lungs only. That's just me though and I have no formal medical training, and quite honestly I think both can apply. With mucus in the lungs I think CF does qualify as having an obstruction but that's not the only factor things like heat/humidity/air conditions, etc do seem to affect it, which is why I lean more towards the "chronic difficulties in breathing". I am interested in what you think of this. --ImmortalGoddezz 15:41, 2 September 2006 (UTC)
- Sorry for the late reply, real life got in the way of wikipedia. :) Anyway I do agree with you that a flowing sentence makes more sense especially in a medical article where it is so easy to get lost with all the various medical terms, familiar or not. I guess since "chronic difficuties in breathing" has a better flow as you said that it is easier to read (let me know if I got that backwards) and should just be left as is. I think this has been a very interesting discussion, it definitely kicked my mind into gear and had me thinking about the delicate nuances of wording a sentence. Thanks! --ImmortalGoddezz 01:38, 5 September 2006 (UTC)

WikiProject Figure Skating
editWelcome to the wikiproject! :) --Fang Aili talk 01:52, 4 September 2006 (UTC)
- Out of the hospital? I'm glad whatever it was is at least better.
- Re: WP:FS, a lot of times I just research a skater online. There are some obscure ones out there, but I can usually at least find a birth date and whatever medals were won. So don't feel like you have to be a figure skating expert. :) --Fang Aili talk 03:24, 4 September 2006 (UTC)
- Come to think of it, if you'd like you could help find sources for figure skating. The lack of sources is the biggest barrier to its not being a Good Article. There should be a good number of online resources; it's just a matter of finding them and putting in some inline citations. Just an idea on how you could help... this is something I'd really like to make happen and get WP:FS its first Good Article. --Fang Aili talk 03:31, 4 September 2006 (UTC)
I am OK.
editI'm fine, in fact, just returned from Arizona where it is hot! All the events off-Wiki are solved, I am happy to say, but I haven't gone everywhere on-Wiki that I usually go, so we'll wait for that. ;)
I read on the Coffee Lounge that you are feeling melancholy. :.( But like you said to me, please take some time, breathe deep, and face the world as you need to once again. I myself am feeling rather bouncy, so perhaps it can become contagious! —$ΡЯΙNGεrαgђ (-¢|ε|Ŀ|T|♪-) 02:10, 5 September 2006 (UTC)
- That's fine with me. :) But I'm getting dragged down again and stress is going up (only on-Wiki, thank God), so I will need to continue my Wikibreak.
- Arizona is pretty, in its own way. I'm just used to my place where it is green almost year-round…which you can't say for the rest of California!
- I did do copy+paste. No robot work there. ;) —$ΡЯΙNGεrαgђ (-¢|ε|Ŀ|T|♪-) 05:02, 5 September 2006 (UTC)

editI understand how you feel, but I can't follow how you expressed it on Wikipedia:Esperanza/Coffee Lounge. I know it can be frustrating (that's why I asked this here and not there). EDIT: Please know that I have nothing againt you in the slightest with your words. I appreciate bluntness where it is needed, oftentimes with me. Also notice this. :) —$ΡЯΙNGεrαgђ (-¢|ε|Ŀ|T|♪-) 17:43, 6 September 2006 (UTC)
- Slightly unrelated (hence why the only reply is here): I don't think you should let your own words and the few I wrote keep you from being or wanting to be an administrator. I know that if your mind is made up I cannot sway you, nor do I wish to do so. Simply do what is right for you and for our Encyclopedia. —$ΡЯΙNGεrαgђ (-¢|ε|Ŀ|T|♫-) 14:56, 7 September 2006 (UTC)

editI was pretty sure that's what you meant. Thanks for the clarificatin. :) And for the heck: you're a great user, even if you aren't a sysop. —$ΡЯΙNGεrαgђ (-¢|ε|Ŀ|T|♫-) 00:13, 9 September 2006 (UTC)
Did you mention this to Sceptre?
editThat's nice and all, but the little brownshirt pity case hasn't been warned for his abuse. 70.5.51.142 19:05, 11 September 2006 (UTC)

I do somewhat disagree, but yes, I will lay it to the side. —$ΡЯΙNGεrαgђ (-¢|ε|Ŀ|T|♫-) 21:25, 11 September 2006 (UTC)
- No stress taken. :) —$ΡЯΙNGεrαgђ (-¢|ε|Ŀ|T|♫-) 21:40, 11 September 2006 (UTC) (Also, something I didn't post on my talk page: if that's all it takes to resolve things, we're doing good.)
One last thing (I promise)
edit(To be posted to User talks Springeragh, Sceptre, 70.5.122.118, and Tachikoma) It's my turn first. I personally don't believe the first warning was a mistake, but everything else may very well have been. I apologise for any stress, high blood pressure, insomnia, anxiety or any other thing I have caused, directly or indirectly. While the rest of us may have made our share [of mistakes], I will give you all the benefit of the doubt from here on out. :) —$ΡЯΙNGεrαgђ (-¢|ε|Ŀ|T|♫-) 02:41, 12 September 2006 (UTC)
(To be posted to User talks Springeragh, Sceptre, 70.5.122.118, and Tachikoma—I am 70.5.122.118—see below about that.)
I'm sorry that I jumped to the conclusion that $ΡЯΙNGεrαgђ was a sockpuppet of Sceptre. I did honestly believe this to be true, at the time I made the claim. I am ready to accept that $ΡЯΙNGεrαgђ is simply a friend of Sceptre, and was eager to come to his aid when I responded hastily to what I perceived as a personal attack by Sceptre, and I acted out of haste to strike back. It appears, further, that the post by Sceptre, which I interpreted as a personal attack, must have been in response to a post or posts I made which were clearly offensive, or Sceptre would not have responded as he did. I apologize for any and all harm I have thus caused the community, and especially each of those noted, through this and resulting actions. I do intend to be more courteous and unassuming in regard to the actions of Wikipedia Admins in the future, and particularly those involved in this exchange. I have posted a note in regard to part of the confusion in the talk page for the article on sock puppetry.
This may come from an address other than 70.5.122.118 or 206.124.31.24, which I have no control over, as the latter is blocked and the former is not necessarily in my control. I would like to note as an anonymous editor that my experience in deliberately posting anonymously, for reasons which I consider valid, is that admins are quick to assume the intentions of anonymous posters are vandalism, and in my case, the posts I originally felt attacked for were legitimate Wikipedia entries. During the entire time, I could have actually committed what I feel is actual sock puppetry (see the talk entry) but have refrained, and only acted in response to what I felt was hostile, irrational and hasty blocking. I have used several IP addresses for my entries, as I am now using a service for which I have no control over the IP address used each time I log in, and I have used this as a feature to defend my use of IP address 206.124.31.24, which is also transient, but which changes less frequently. I do not/have not used this for the purpose of deception. 70.5.53.83 03:34, 12 September 2006 (UTC)
Re: I'm back
editI don't believe it would have turned out as well without you, to tell the truth. (Who knows, without you we might still be acting like Muslims.) You came in at just the right time, and left at just the right time. Even if you didn't like it, you still did a fine job. —$ΡЯΙNGεrαgђ (-¢|ε|Ŀ|T|♫-) 15:01, 13 September 2006 (UTC)
Rare diseases
editI'm not sure if the reader is particularly helped by backlinks to the list of rare diseases from each individual page. I'd find it easier to justify inclusion into Category:Rare diseases which serves the same purpose and doesn't quite clutter the article. Let me know what you think. The definition of "rare" is quite elastic. For a doctor in general practice, certain diseases are much rarer than for specialists. One often hears specialists say "oh, we see that [rare disease] all the time". I'm not sure what definition Wikipedia should employ; perhaps the same as licensing agencies use for orphan drug status. JFW | T@lk 20:13, 14 September 2006 (UTC)
- You mean progeria? JFW | T@lk 20:37, 14 September 2006 (UTC)
Thank You
editIsn't it strange that I am thanking you for wishing me to get better when the section above is entitled "Rare Diseases?" The respiratory infection is subsiding, so things are getting a lot better. Anyways, I'm a college student and unless I'm actually dying, I still have to drag myself to class. This entails getting up, which means I'm usually also on the wiki since I bothered to get out of bed in the first place... Well anyways, thank you for the well-wishing! Halo's RfA
editThank you for your very kind words on my RfA. Don't worry, I never thought that you were belittling my edits, compared to yours. Unfortunately, I'd be lying if I said that I wasn't a little stressed out, but I'm sure I can handle it ;) Thanks, and see you around. Thε Halo Θ 23:00, 15 September 2006 (UTC)

editHi Kyoko. I found it! :D It was probably just something left over from a copy-paste. Cheers, Sango123 15:38, 17 September 2006 (UTC)
New signature
editIt's cleaner and only has one link. (Plus it allowed me to show myself how creative I am and how much mark-up I know…and maybe how pompous I am.) ;)
Apart from that, to strike up friendly converstion, I see you've been to the Golden State. How did you like it when you were here? — $PЯINGεrαgђ 20:59, 17 September 2006 (UTC)
- I'm sorry. I didn't realise it could be read that way, although now that I think of it, it probably wasn't a good idea. Should it still be <s></s>ed out though or something? — $PЯINGεrαgђ 03:10, 18 September 2006 (UTC)
Re: please come back
editAlthough I see your reason, please don't. Mainly it's because of a blow-up in real life, and most of the wiki-related reasons are minor ones. Thank you, however. :) — $PЯINGεrαgђ 00:23, 19 September 2006 (UTC)
