Newsom maskless at stadium + sockpuppet claims
Hi, I've noticed that you've reverted my additions to Gavin Newsom's page about him being maskless at a stadium despite a mask mandate in place.First off, I cited a CNN article which stated that he was in violation of the mask mandate. I'm not quite sure what you mean by "CNN doesn't support the phrasing 'violating the mandate'". How should I phrase it; "breaking the mandate"? "in violation of"? "not in compliance with"? They are all synonyms. Instead of reverting my edits and removing information, may I ask you to change it so that it fits better, or suggesting edits that I could make? As you have probably seen, I am new to editing, and so much help would be appreciated. Secondly, the Fox article contains photographic proof---something hard to dispute despite the bias of Fox News, especially since it is corroborated by CNN. Rather than reverting my edits, if there is a problem, you could've just removed the parts that used Fox as a source. Lastly, to address "socking." I literally didn't even know what that term meant until you accused me of it. Since you have filed a report, I guess I will have to defend myself. I'm not quite sure how the review process works, but I can guarantee you that I am definitely not "socking." Phonecaller (talk) 20:16, 3 May 2022 (UTC)
Elizabeth Olsen - Avengers Endgame appearance.
Hello. The reason I did not add in Olsen's Captain America the Winter Soldier appearance is because she only appeared in a very small cameo appearance. She was not in Spider man No Way Home at all so I didn't put that in. I understand that she didn't have a 'starring role' in Endagme, but she appeared in a lot more than just a cameo role in that film so I thought it was worth the mention. Danny White (talk) 19:52, 8 May 2022 (UTC)
- Thank you for your response, Danny White. Should we also discuss the extent of her starring roles, then? I would argue that her role in Avengers: Age of Ultron is more substantial than her role in Captain America: Civil War, so would I be justified in removing the latter? Wrestler contents section listed as 2022 or 2022–present
Although not yet a member of the project, I did revert an edit on Sasha Banks and Naomi, where someone changed current tag champions to former champions. Obviously, if wwe.com is still listing them as champions, they still must be current. Then, because it was added to my watchlist, someone changed 2022–present to just 2022. I came across your revert on Sasha Banks page where you state: ("present" applies when the heading does not include the present time; is 2022 not the present time? the section is ongoing, but 2022 isn't? would you write "2022–now" or "2022 and on"?) I have to disagree with you on this. When you make a change like this, it has an effect on all wrestling related articles that are not doing what you suggested. Case in point, when I first see the list of contents that says: Partnership with Naomi (2022), I'll assume that Sasha Banks and Naomi are no longer in a partnership, which officially isn't the case yet, and upon further reading, will see that I am wrong. Same as a championship reign. Alpha Academy in their contents section says: Raw Tag Team Champions (2022) because their reign ended. At a quick glance, 2022–present seems more widely used than simply just 2022. Ricochet, Ronda Rousey, AJ Styles, and Cody Rhodes are prime examples of each using 2022–present in their sections. Perhaps it may be best to get a consensus on some talk pages and at Wikipedia:WikiProject Professional wrestling.Brian (talk) 04:00, 20 May 2022 (UTC)
- Thanks for your message Bgredmchn. I don't see it as a huge issue, so I'll no longer change the way years in headings are written. KyleJoan 04:34, 20 May 2022 (UTC)
Bio
Not sure why you possibly could think that naming a film as a sports movie and a biopic is overdoing it. Confidently I say you are not right in your assessment.Pictureperfect2 (talk) 21:59, 24 May 2022 (UTC)

Kris Statlander
Hey, I've seen you just removed everything I wrote about Kris Statlander. One of the claims was "Hirsch's heel turn is irrelevant unless sources note it as part of the feud that is clear to fans but has not been demonstated as being highlighted in even one reliable source". But that false. Leyla Hirsch turning led to Statlander's gimmick change, which is some worth to mention. This is part of her character's evolution. SeosiWrestling (talk) 21:02, 28 May 2022 (UTC)

Christian Bale scheduled for TFA
This is to let you know that the Christian Bale article has been scheduled as today's featured article for July 8, 2022. Please check the article needs no amendments. If you're interested in editing the main page text, you're welcome to do so at Wikipedia:Today's featured article/July 8, 2022, but note that a coordinator will trim the lead to around 1000 characters anyway, so you aren't obliged to do so.
For Featured Articles promoted recently, there will be an existing blurb linked from the FAC talk page, which is likely to be transferred to the TFA page by a coordinator at some point.
We suggest that you watchlist Wikipedia:Main Page/Errors from the day before this appears on Main Page. Thanks! Jimfbleak - talk to me? 13:09, 9 June 2022 (UTC)
- So happy to hear that, Jimfbleak. I'll be sure to help maintain the article's quality until that time and watchlist the errors page. Thank you for all of your work coordinating the TFAs! KyleJoan 09:48, 10 June 2022 (UTC)
Battleship (2012) reversion
Hi there! Respectfully, I'm confused by your reversion of my recent edit. Battleship (2012) was by all measure a critical and commercial failure, being a box office bomb, a $30 million loss, and a 34% on Rotten Tomatoes, whereas The Diary of a Teenage Girl (2015) was while not a box office success, a critical success receiving 95% on Rotten Tomatoes. What Maisie Knew (2012) also was a critical success as well receiving 86% on Rotten Tomatoes. So I don't understand your claim that "Diary is not commercially or critically significant, and neither is Maisie". I'm not sure you can claim Battleship "is far more notable", when people didn't see the film. The One I Left (talk) 03:15, 24 June 2022 (UTC)
- @The One I Left: Like I said, Battleship's critical and commercial failure status is analyzed in sources, which makes it more notable than films without post-release analyses. You do know being a box office bomb only means it didn't make a profit? The film made hundreds of millions of dollars, so your conclusion that
people didn't see the film
is baseless. Moreover, that same point is applicable to the two you're trying to add, but instead of maintaining the point, you're convoluting it by saying the high Rotten Tomatoes scores make them due for the lede. Since when has this been true? This means that films with low Rotten Tomatoes scores should not be in the lede, which makes little sense. - Looking at your 500 most recent edits, it's interesting that you have not reached out to the users who have reverted you other than me. Why is moving on easier when I'm not involved? In any case, I remember these direct discussions between us to be long and futile, so rather than reply, please open a new discussion on Talk:Alexander Skarsgård (edit | subject | history | links | watch | logs) for others' thoughts. Thanks.
- Add: You're also welcome to cite these Google Trends statistics to help any future discussions if you'd like. KyleJoan 04:54, 24 June 2022 (UTC)
- Wow you're coming in a little too aggressive. The only reason I reached out is because the reversion was so odd, it was such a small detail that I thought I'd reach out. Battleship is known for being a failure at the box office, but citing it's one of his well known movies seems absurd to me. The other two movies I mentioned were critical hits, that helped him get recognized in the industry and further his career. Thanks for responding though, I wish no ill will, and these were edits in good faith. I will open a discussion Talk:Alexander Skarsgård (edit | subject | history | links | watch | logs). Have a good day.The One I Left (talk) 11:12, 24 June 2022 (UTC)
Regarding the Article "Staz Nair"
Hey, i recently suggested an edit to the page Staz Nair to add the ethnic details, but the source mentioned there does not specify that he is of the ethnic origin i suggested. But i found another article which does confirm that he is of Malayali ethnic descent. so please consider the article: https://english.mathrubhumi.com/features/specials/dothraki-leader-qhono-from-game-of-thrones-coming-to-kerala-1.3849764 Guccirajappan (talk) 06:18, 25 June 2022 (UTC)

christian bale
hello, KyleJoan! i had a question regarding this article and the associated blurb. was bale included in time's "annual list of the 100 most influential people in the world in 2011"? personally, i would interpret that description to point to a unique list, this one, and bale does not appear on this list. the article cites this source for the statement, which appears to state that he is a candidate for the list, but not that he is on the list. another list was released for that year, titled "The 2011 TIME 100 Poll Results", in which bale is ranked 50th, but this appears to be a list based on a poll of readers, and if this was the list that the blurb and article had intended to refer to, i am worried that the current wording may be misleading, especially since the "Time 100" article linked in the text quoted above mainly covers the former list, and not the one based on public polls. dying (talk) 23:21, 30 June 2022 (UTC)
- @Dying: I don't believe we've ever interacted before. Very nice to meet you! You're absolutely right. I'm embarrassed that that material has been in the article for so long and unsure how I never caught the misleading nature of it. I'm going to remove it from the blurb and the article entirely since I believe that that annual poll is only notable to include in relation to its winners. Regarding the blurb, I'm going to instead include how he was one of the highest-paid actors in 2014. What do you think about that? Thank you so much for catching this! KyleJoan 02:52, 1 July 2022 (UTC)
- glad to meet you as well, KyleJoan! no worries, we all make mistakes. your edits to the blurb look good. thanks for addressing the issue!by the way, now that bale's inclusion in the forbes list is highlighted, i should note that the featured article states that he was ranked ninth on the list, while the cited article on the guardian appears to state that he was ranked eighth. (i am having trouble accessing the forbes article itself, though perhaps he is listed ninth there.) also, i noticed that bale's nationality appears to be a controversial point, so thought you might want to keep an eye on the awards list linked to by the blurb, in case of any edits against consensus. dying (talk) 05:35, 1 July 2022 (UTC)
- @Dying: Ah, I see the discrepancy. The Forbes article contains a gallery of eleven files, which begins with an introductory photo, followed by the top ten actors' photos. The actual list begins with photo number two, so Bale being "9 of 11" there means The Guardian is correct about him being the eighth highest-paid that year. I made the relevant change as well as watchlisted the linked accolades list and reverted the national identity in its first sentence. Thank you again for being so generous and meticulous with this! Please let me know if there is anything else you believe requires attention. KyleJoan 14:47, 1 July 2022 (UTC)

Hi; please could you read my comment on the Christian Bale talk page, and reply there? Reversions
Hi KyleJoan,
Ah yes! I remember you Re: our discussion on Whoopi Goldberg being a frequent awards host. I saw you reverted some of my edits, and noticed the message on my page. First off thanks for reaching out. I wanted to address your complaints, I believe Taika Waititi's first directorial work in television was Flight of the Conchords as noted by his Filmography. He directed multiple episodes of that show from 2007 to 2009. So I don't see how, "Waititi began his work on television as a frequent director of HBO's Flight of the Concords" is incorrect, unless you are counting his acting work, although he is known as a director and I'm I thought I made it clear in my wording but always happy to rephrase. Thank you for the correction on Reservation Dogs though, I think it must have been a typo, and it was meant for What We Do in the Shadows which did start in 2019. Waititi does do a lot of television work now and anyone could have made a simple typo error. Thanks! The One I Left (talk) 13:22, 10 July 2022 (UTC)

Hi, rather than engage in an edit war is it really that important to add a small not really relevant comment in 2022 from 2021 as this is now 2022 and that was a decade ago.
Obviously you may disagree with my alterations but is there a better or more relevant way of working this out?
Juanpumpchump (talk) 13:38, 13 October 2022 (UTC)
- @Juanpumpchump: That material has been in the article for years, so you must obtain a consensus to remove it, which seems like the best and most relevant way of working this out. When you open the discussion, please specify the timeframe that you believe meets your criteria for relevancy. The valid WP:OTHERSTUFF examples you provided, seen here, supports including that material, so it is up to you to explain why it should be included in some articles but not others. Thanks. Ray Fisher
We don't need to mention that Fisher starred in a series produced by ABC. In fact we shouldn't. Otherwise why don't we mention who produced the films he was in too? The show Women of the Movement was aired on HBO, that's all that's important. But even that I think is unnecessary. Roman Reigns Fanboy (talk) 13:10, 1 July 2023 (UTC)
- Women of the Movement aired on ABC. The claim you're referencing does not specify what company produced the series. "He portrayed Gene Mobley, the husband of activist Mamie Till-Mobley Women of the Movement" is an incoherent sentence. First, you blanket reverted, maintaining the error. Then, you moved things back around to reinstate the entirety of my revert with added spacing. Maybe you should take reverts less personally and pay more attention to what your edits actually do. KyleJoan 14:05, 1 July 2023 (UTC)
- I I didn't realize ABC aired it earlier, but is ironic that despite blanket reverting me you're complaining about others. I restored your edit. But you're trying to provoke me. Maybe you should not assume you own the article instead and get offended so easily? As for moving things, I did that because it's better to organize by topic (future projects vs already released projects), the way you've written will turn the readers off. Roman Reigns Fanboy (talk) 04:27, 2 July 2023 (UTC)
- Yeah, I'm so offended that I edited based on my misunderstanding of claim while introducing an error, complained to the user that corrected that error, and told them that they're the one offended. Stay unprovoked. KyleJoan 04:59, 2 July 2023 (UTC)
- I "complained" to try to resolve the issue quickly, something you won't do. Hey at least I'm not trying to provoke with "Maybe you should take reverts less personally". Roman Reigns Fanboy (talk) 05:11, 2 July 2023 (UTC)

- Hey you tried provoking first. Roman Reigns Fanboy (talk) 05:41, 2 July 2023 (UTC)
- Hey at least I'm not trying to provoke with "Maybe you should not assume you own the article instead and get offended so easily". I'm glad you're enjoying my talk page, but I'm not sure why you're still here. Lol. KyleJoan 05:14, 2 July 2023 (UTC)
- I "complained" to try to resolve the issue quickly, something you won't do. Hey at least I'm not trying to provoke with "Maybe you should take reverts less personally". Roman Reigns Fanboy (talk) 05:11, 2 July 2023 (UTC)
- Yeah, I'm so offended that I edited based on my misunderstanding of claim while introducing an error, complained to the user that corrected that error, and told them that they're the one offended. Stay unprovoked. KyleJoan 04:59, 2 July 2023 (UTC)
- No they're not. You wrote identical summaries for two reverts. Tell me again how I'm "incorrectly reading through edits". I must laugh at the unseriousness I'm seeing. KyleJoan 11:12, 2 July 2023 (UTC)
- You're right, my mistake. I didn't notice I've made four reverts too. I apologize. Roman Reigns Fanboy (talk) 11:29, 2 July 2023 (UTC)
- To be honest, I'm not even sure who has reverted inappropriately how many times anymore. I see that I once reverted to your version, so that could've been a revert and a self-revert at the same time. Your next edit undid my reversion to your version, which means that was either the same type of revert/self-revert or not any revert. In any case, I'm glad we've come to a resolution. No apology necessary, truly. As I said, it's not personal. Cheers! KyleJoan 11:55, 2 July 2023 (UTC)

July 2023
Your recent editing history at Natalie Portman shows that you are currently engaged in an edit war; that means that you are repeatedly changing content back to how you think it should be, when you have seen that other editors disagree. To resolve the content dispute, please do not revert or change the edits of others when you are reverted. Instead of reverting, please use the talk page to work toward making a version that represents consensus among editors. The best practice at this stage is to discuss, not edit-war; read about how this is done. If discussions reach an impasse, you can then post a request for help at a relevant noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, you may wish to request temporary page protection.
Being involved in an edit war can result in you being blocked from editing—especially if you violate the three-revert rule, which states that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Undoing another editor's work—whether in whole or in part, whether involving the same or different material each time—counts as a revert. Also keep in mind that while violating the three-revert rule often leads to a block, you can still be blocked for edit warring—even if you do not violate the three-revert rule—should your behavior indicate that you intend to continue reverting repeatedly. Kyle
Hello, Kyle. How are you' I want to ask you something. What does it takes to involve you in a pro wrestling article? I don't see you as the usual pro wrestling editor, you just edit some articles like Omega or Naomi. I think you are a great editor and more articles need you hard. I was thinking to summarize Chris Jericho, since there is 280,535 bytes, almost three times the sice per WP:PAGESIZE. Do you want to edit the article with me? A colaboration?--HHH Pedrigree (talk) 15:52, 10 July 2023 (UTC)
- Hi HHH Pedrigree. I'm well, thank you. How about you? I appreciate the compliment very much. I used to edit wrestling articles more regularly but have since stepped back due to reduced interest. Due to this, I'm going to say no to collaborating on the Jericho article. That said, I'm happy to make small recommendations. The readable prose is at 13,819 words, so you could argue that the filmography section is appropriate for splitting per WP:TOOBIG. Another way I would minimize the size is by removing the infobox that documents his YouTube channel. It's indiscriminate information that is not discussed in (or even verifiable via) secondary sources, especially since the body does not discuss the channel at all. Hope this helps! KyleJoan 00:49, 11 July 2023 (UTC)
Need your opinion
Hi. How do you do? Would you please read and review Roxanne Perez? I'm working on it and I want to nominate it for WP:GA in the future. So I need your opinion about:
- The lead
- All sections
- The quality of current citations/sources
- Necessary expansion, removal, or summarizing
Any other suggestion is welcomed; e.g. how/where can I find a better source for her birth date? --Mann Mann (talk) 16:47, 24 July 2023 (UTC)
- Hey Mann Mann. I'm well, thank you. I haven't been around as much lately, so please pardon the delayed response. It's nice to hear that you're thinking about nominating that article for GA. I'll take a closer look this coming week and see if I have any suggestions. KyleJoan 10:59, 28 July 2023 (UTC)
- Just read your reply on my talk page and your response to HHH Pedrigree's request in the above section. I understand why you don't want to involve yourself in editing PW articles. Keeping the quality/stability of PW articles could become frustrating. The reason why I asked you for collaboration was because of the quality of your edits. WP:PW needs editors like you. But it's your decision and I respect it. Anyway, I try to consider your suggestions for improving that article. Thanks again. Regards. --Mann Mann (talk) 06:18, 16 August 2023 (UTC)
Discussion
Thank you for reaching out KyleJoan. I will be more mindful when editing and to be more descriptive in the edit summary. I have seen edit's reverted many times with other users as well. People have different opinions and I can see that and am open to that. As you noted in your reversion, my edits are in good faith and are never with malice behind them. I agree with your thoughts on my Whoopi Goldberg edit. However there are times where I think I made constructive edits and disagree with the reversions and I will make the effort to reach out to them on their talk page. The One I Left (talk) 12:50, 11 August 2023 (UTC)

Hash sign in edit summaries
Just wanted to say I saw your ANI thread after it had already closed. I've noticed said edit summaries plenty in the past and my interpretation was the same as yours (I took it to be self-censorship of something rude). Not actionable (at this point, at least) but thought I'd let you know you're not insane for thinking it. — Czello (music) 17:16, 28 August 2023 (UTC)

Thinking about Omega
Hello, Kyle. I had a very bad night, so I had a very strange tought about the article. Reading Kenny Omega's intro, you can see that he is Canadian (or Canadain-born Japanesse, whatever). Then, it's stated that he worked for national e international promotions like ROH, Impact Wrestling and AAA. Maybe, we are assuming national = United States. Since he is Canadian, national promotion are just canadian promotions, no promotion from USA. --HHH Pedrigree (talk) 08:22, 4 September 2023 (UTC)
- Hi HHH Pedrigree. Sorry to hear about your bad night. I've decided to entirely refrain from editing in the topic of pro wrestling, so I'm not going to make any more changes to that article. That said, if you'd like a phrasing suggestion that addresses your concern, do consider, "Throughout his career, Omega has also performed as part of independent promotions, including DDT Pro-Wrestling and Pro Wrestling Guerrilla, as well as larger companies worldwide, such as Ring of Honor, Lucha Libre AAA Worldwide, and Impact Wrestling." I'd remove JAPW altogether since the body does not document Omega's work in it as extensively as it does his work in DDT and PWG. I hope this new week brings better nights. KyleJoan 09:44, 4 September 2023 (UTC)
- .Wow, sorry to hear that. I think your aproach to wrestling articles are interesting. But pro wrestling it's hard to handle. Too many passionate fans writing. --HHH Pedrigree (talk) 09:31, 13 September 2023 (UTC)

Solange Knowles ethnicity
Hi, I noticed you’ve reverted false information back onto Solange Knowles Wikipedia. I understand that you may disagree. But proven sources & facts overturns your opinion. I have to make sure you’re aware of the edit warring policy which, disallows repeated reversions even if they are justifiable. Tina Knowles is a Louisiana Creole not an African American. It’s even stated on Beyoncé’s Wikipedia as well & she even said it herself. What you feel & think is not correct or accurate. Connii93 (talk) 12:04, 1 January 2024 (UTC)
- Are these "proven sources & facts" in the room with us right now? KyleJoan 12:08, 1 January 2024 (UTC)
- Yep. Beyoncé even said it herself. Are you Beyoncé? She written songs about it, etc. Why do you want mixed race people to only be black so badly? Louisiana Creoles are mixed race. Connii93 (talk) 12:17, 1 January 2024 (UTC)

Nicole Richie
I looked for the people source, it's not there anymore. Now, I can try to find another source but I'd figured it'd be better to have something there than a link that leads to nothing. Also, they were not engaged from 2004 to 2006. They started dating in 2004 and were engaged for several months in 2005, so I rewrote it, to be as accurate as possible. Update: I found the People source archived on DJ AM's page and copied it into Nicole's. Hopefully this resolves the issue. 107.115.153.46 (talk) 14:48, 26 January 2024 (UTC)

- Because I didn't feel like reminding you for the umpteenth time to adhere to NPOV, OR, and V. The "room for debate" does not exist. jake gyllenhaal
why did you revert my edit on jake gyllenhaal, i just added the category that he won and was nominated for.
it just said BAFTA Award and Academy Award, before but i added what exact category he won and was nominated for, BAFTA Award for Best Actor in a Supporting Role and Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor.
i thought that was something necessary to include, rather than just Academy Award and BAFTA Award, as there any MANY categories of each, why not just specify the exact category? Samuelloveslennonstella (talk) 13:46, 6 May 2024 (UTC)
- Because it adds unnecessary length. Perhaps more important than that, you linked the category and simply piped that link as "BAFTA", which is too astonishing. He's an actor, so if he was nominated for a film award, the standard deduction would be that it was for his acting work. I doubt that a lot of casual readers would leap and presume that it's for costume design. Aren't you often reverted for making unnecessary changes to lead sections? That seems to be more of a cause for concern than this one revert. KyleJoan 18:44, 6 May 2024 (UTC)

Sam Fender Birthday
Hello, well I'm contacting you here because I think it's better to discuss here than to go to the article, make the edit again and have it reversed, I think it would end up generating an edit war. So let's discuss here. Well, in addition to having Sam's date of birth on Apple Music, there is also a Tweet that he made in 2014 where he said the following: "Just found out that I share my birthday with Al Pacino. #Crease #Belte". Al Pacino, according to his Wikipedia page, was born on April 25, 1940. Logically, Sam Fender was not born in 1940, so we can only conclude that he was born on April 25.
Well, take a look at everything and see if that's enough. --Damitinha (talk) 01:33, 6 July 2024 (UTC)
- Hi there Damitinha. I don't believe we'd interacted prior to this, so it's nice to meet you. I believe the Official Charts Company and MYP are appropriate sources to support his birthdate, so feel free to add it (per MOS:DOB, please format it this way: 25 April 1994) alongside those two sources now. Thank you for this. KyleJoan 03:17, 7 July 2024 (UTC)
- Hello, thank you very much for the answer. I added the birthdate to the article with the sources you suggested. Thanks again, and have a great day. Damitinha (talk) 05:24, 7 July 2024 (UTC)
