Underlight
editThank you for your note at the Underlight deletion discussion. We're looking for reliable, third-party published sources about the game. By that, I mean substantial articles about the game—reviews are great, but we also like articles about its gameplay, plot, development, reception, and so on—written by games journalists and published by reputable games magazines and websites. This doesn't necessarily mean Game Informer or Wired, but sources that are widely cited throughout the industry. You'll find a general page about identifying reliable sources at WP:IRS and some specific examples of reliable, situational, and unreliable sites at WP:VG/RS. The deletion discussion typically takes about a week, so I wouldn't spend your night looking for sources! :) I would also suggest, per our conflict of interest guidelines, that you don't edit the article directly, but feel free to add any sources you can find at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Underlight where everyone can review them. If you have any questions, feel free to ask. Cheers! Woodroar (talk) 02:54, 21 August 2015 (UTC)
- HI. I made some of the original page that I guess morphed into the horrid site which almost got deleted, so I figured I'd try to help with the recreation after the weak keep. Started on the Underlight:Talk with my thoughts and links. One question I did have is regarding the companies own website as being a valid source of information? I was looking at the everquest and Ultima pages and they have facts on the company from its own information. If those are linked to archive pages can that also be included? I think there's enough between lyras own news reports and reviews to have something informative. Luinitari (talk) 15:57, 16 October 2015 (UTC)
- @Luinitari: The official Underlight website can be cited with some caveats. We could source game features to official patch notes, for example, but we should let a third-party say if those features are revolutionary or noteworthy. Official sources are great for things like corporate/employee structuring and launch dates, as long as they aren't controversial or self-serving. I hope this helps!
