I note that the only recent contributions by that user name have been the vandalism of your user page. Suggesting a change of password is exactly right - if problems continue, I think that shows bad faith. You may or may not be aware that passwords are actually a hot issue at the moment. Four admins have lost their status because their accounts were hacked, and we have all been advised to use a non obvious and non dictionary password. I've changed mine from an obscure but dictionary word to a mix of numbers, letters and symbols - only problem is that i can't remember it! Jimfbleak. ^{Talk to me.}05:11, 11 May 2007 (UTC)

Recreation

Not sure specifically what you are referring to. I would normally only block a user for recreation if it was for persistent reposting of nonsense or offensive material (including via sockpuppets) despite warnings. This amounts to vandalism.

If a "proper", but non-notable/unsourced/spam article is persistently reposted without addressing the issues, I would protect against recreation, especially in the case of advertising (eg Dynamex), but the user wouldn't normally be blocked.

Have I done something that you have concerns about, either through error (I've blocked myself twice) or otherwise? jimfbleak 09:13, 16 May 2007 (UTC)

I can hardly think of anything that should be retouched, with one minor exception: the lovely picture of Napoli above bleeds ot of the page with lower resolutions.Of course, the only solution to that would be to reduce it a little; I can experiment for you in my sandbox if you wish. I accidently created a page in error - my comments on DCist were only meant to be in the discussion thread... there was no DCist page before I accidently posted the information there. Trolls vs vandalism-only accounts

Well... vandalism-only accounts are just what it sounds like, accounts that are pretty obviously created for the sole purpose of defacing pages or creating rude articles. Trolls are a bit different - we have a pretty good essay on it, actually. I generally class trolls as slightly higher level vandalism, a few personal attacks aimed at specific editors, edit warring for little or no reason, etc. The essay is probably better at explaining than I am :) Cheers, Riana ⁂ 18:30, 27 May 2007 (UTC)
