Note on contributions

edit

Hi KingAviationKid, I've looked through some of your contributions and it seems that you are struggling to find an area to contribute on on Wikipedia, I would strongly recommend that you look at some of the links up above, specifically the Wikipedia:Contributing to Wikipedia one, and choose a task in WP:TASK to work on. Also, if applicable, you might want to have a look at WP:Guidance for young editors. Thanks! Justiyaya 07:29, 17 December 2021 (UTC)Reply

A few issues

edit

Whack!

You've been whacked with a wet trout.

Don't take this too seriously. Someone just wants to let you know that you did something silly.

You have been trouted for: Hey, I noticed you've been struggling with citations recently, and also general Wikipedia article-editing. That's ok, but there are some things you will need to learn if you want to contribute without having your changes reverted.

- Citations: When citing a website, you need to do more than just click 'Cite' and then copy/paste the website link. As you are probably aware, you can click the 'Cite your scources:' button at the bottom of the edit menu in order to create the citation tag. After that, click the puzzle piece at the at the top menu above the edit box and it will provide you with a search bar. Enter 'cite web' and then click the option and it will provide you with a menu to fill out all relevant information in a format that looks like this:

<ref>{{Cite web|url=|title=|date=|access-date=|website=|last=|first=}}</ref>

For further information on this please visit WP:CS.

- Publish vs. Preview: I've noticed you also make a lot of edits just to fix simple mistakes from previous edits. You can preview an article before you publish it in order to minimize the amount of changes on it before you actually publish the edit, as it fills up the edit log and is generally annoying.

You can message me on my talk page at any time if you have any other questions. ― Tunakanski VeniVidiVici 20:40, 17 December 2021 (UTC)Reply

Teahouse answer

edit

Hey! I'd advise you to not answer other user's questions on the Teahouse until you've gained more experience. Users there are looking for accurate answers to their questions and if an inexperienced newcomer answers their question, it could possibly be incorrect and be giving the user the wrong advice. ― Blaze WolfTalkBlaze Wolf#6545 18:51, 21 December 2021 (UTC)Reply

KamAZ 53212 moved to draftspace

edit

An article you recently created, KamAZ 53212, is not suitable as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. Sources did not show notability. The airline page itself can't be used to show notability, and the other reference also did not show notability. Airlines are likely to be notable, so I draft it for a moment until sufficient references are added to establish notability. Thank you. ✠ SunDawn ✠ (contact) 03:28, 11 July 2022 (UTC)Reply
