As reviewing admin, I see some problems noted above:

perhaps you have not yet realized this, but unless you assert the license at the time of inserting the material, it will surely be deleted. See Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials for the details. Use the tags as specified there, and send the emails. Alternatively, put the necessary notice on the web pages themselves--this is even better.

Please do this also for all the ones you have contributed and were deleted. let me know, and I shall restore them.

Remember also that it is not considered acceptable to place a link here to every person whose papers may be in the Fales archives. If the archives are the major location for their papers, and there is a substantial collection, then an external link can be acceptable. If you do that, do not also add to the text of the article a statement that the papers are located there. One time is enough, and the external links section is the preferred place.

biographical notes from Fales Library

Hi, is there a general release of all the biographical notes from the Fales Library? I keep seeing these speedy delete tags on material copied from http://dlib.nyu.edu/findingaids. Or are they being released as GFDL on a case by case basis? Graeme Bartlett (talk) 12:14, 12 May 2009 (UTC)

One suggestion is to place that OTRS permission in the edit summary when you make or edit the article. The policy then says no speedy delete for copyright infringement until this is considered, however many admins may fail to read it! Graeme Bartlett (talk) 23:51, 12 May 2009 (UTC)

The article I just deleted was clearly a copy of [1]. I realize that is also in the Fales Library, and you have obtained permission from them for some other material. • I am the person at the Fales Library using the Kelsievans username currently. I have recreated the Terence Sellers article in the Kelsievans sandbox and added further citations to the article. How does wikipedia determine "evidence of notability"? Wouldn't having their papers collected at a major research university constitute notability? No, you did not create the article in the Kelsievans sandbox. You created it in the general Sandbox where it survived for 20 minutes before it was vandalisd. I have rescued it to User:Kelsievans/sandbox and its talk page.

I hope you read these comments on my user_talk page. I would still like to see an explicit statement on any Fales Library page which has been copied to Wikipedia saying "the biographical note is licensed under the GFDL / CC licences". It would help to prevent the frequent copyvio accusations that you have suffered from in the past.

As to User:Kelsievans/sandbox, please continue to add wikilinks as I have done in the first two paragraphs. You asked about "evidence of notability"? Surely WP:BIO makes that clear - we need significant coverage in reliable, independent secondary sources. Collection by the Fales Library is one such reference but the other two references are more about works by Terence. We need a couple more references to sources writing about her, preferably on the web. Hi Roger, the links are about Ms. Sellers and not by her. Although she contributed to projects that are named in the articles and the film that are referenced, they are both critical works about her or that reference her, rather than works she created. I have posted the new article with the changes to the Terence Sellers page. Making statements on the Fales Library pages is difficult, as we are attached to the larger IT department of the NYU Library system and each change must be in accordance with their rules, etc. Why is the ticket on the talk page not enough?
