Hi, Karkaron. As far as I know, the series is not sold online. If you live in the US, contact the Egyptian Embassy. --Meno25 21:36, 3 January 2007 (UTC)Reply

Request for edit summary

edit

When editing an article on Wikipedia there is a small field labeled "Edit summary" under the main edit-box. It looks like this:

The text written here will appear on the Recent changes page, in the page revision history, on the diff page, and in the watchlists of users who are watching that article. See m:Help:Edit summary for full information on this feature.

Filling in the edit summary field greatly helps your fellow contributors in understanding what you changed, so please always fill in the edit summary field, especially for big edits or when you are making subtle but important changes, like changing dates or numbers. Thank you. --Meno25 21:39, 3 January 2007 (UTC)Reply

Sign your name

edit

Hello. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. You may also click on the signature button   located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your name and the time you posted the comment. This information is useful because other editors will be able to tell who said what, and when. Thank you! --Meno25 21:41, 3 January 2007 (UTC)Reply

Regarding the words of Ibn Qayyim

edit

Ahlan wa sahlan. We have a discussion regarding the correct translation and the actual meaning of something written by Ibn Qayyim al-Jawziyya. We might need an opinion from some native arabic speakers in order to reach consensus. If this caught your interest, feel free to join our discussion at Talk:Hadith of Sabra reporting on the prohibition of Mut'ah. Thank you. Hamid-Masri 11:29, 18 May 2007 (UTC)Reply

Help in translation

edit

Hi, my name is Giorgio. I'm not very active in english Wikipedia because the italian one needs more help. In fact Italy needs help. But I'm strongly partecipating in Commons (in english). Anyway I'm italian, from Florence, and I'm working with other people on a project, in italian Wikipedia, related to my hometown Montevarchi. In Commons we are uploading pictures of the city and its people. So, in Montevarchi lived an admiral that was very significant in history of italian navy. In his personal archive, we digitalize, we found 1 document written in arabic [1]. Could you help us to translate it or do you know somebody that can help us in translating it? Thank you.--Giorgiomonteforti (talk) 22:40, 17 May 2008 (UTC)Reply

Call for Wikipedians in Residence in Africa

edit

Hello,

I hope you are well and thriving!! WikiAfrica has just put out a call for two Wikipedians in Residence. One in Cape Town at WikiAfrica, at the Africa Centre; and the other for WikiAfrica Cameroon in Douala, at doual’art. If you are interested, please contact either Marilyn [marilyn.doualabell doualart.org] for the WikiAfrica Cameroon call or Isla [islahf africacentre.net] for the WikiAfrica position in Cape Town.

If you are not interested in applying, I would be very grateful if you could spread this call far and wide among your networks to ensure that both projects get excellent candidates. Here is the link for the information page: http://www.wikiafrica.net/two-wikipedians-in-residence-for-africa/

Best regards, Islahaddow
