Hello, I'm Cassiopeia. I noticed that in this edit to Institute for Economics and Peace, you removed content without adequately explaining why. In the future, it would be helpful to others if you described your changes to Wikipedia with an edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry, the removed content has been restored. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. Cassiopeia talk 04:00, 20 January 2022 (UTC)Reply

Please do not add promotional material to Wikipedia, as you did to Anne Hamburger. While objective prose about beliefs, organisations, people, products or services is acceptable, Wikipedia is not a vehicle for soapboxing, advertising or promotion. Thank you. Citation

edit

In an edit I was doing to add citations to shunt theater page I was trying to cite the same sources at two different points on the page but instead they are currently showing up at the bottom twice. Can you tell me how I can make sure that the citation is listed only once at the bottom of the page? Thanks KNY22 (talk) 02:10, 23 January 2022 (UTC)Reply

Hi KNY22, Good day. You can add reference name on the first occurrence source and use the reference name on the second time by adding a " /". See example below (vie in source editing mode pls)
  1. normal citation format (use only one time in the article)

[1]

  1. occurrence first time - add ref name
[2]
  1. reused the second time in the same articlee
[2]

References

  1. ^ CNN, Hilary Whiteman. "Judges reveal why Novak Djokovic had to miss Australian Open". CNN. Retrieved 2022-01-23. {{cite web}}: |last= has generic name (help)
  2. ^ a b CNN, Hilary Whiteman. "Judges reveal why Novak Djokovic had to miss Australian Open". CNN. Retrieved 2022-01-23. {{cite web}}: |last= has generic name (help)

Hope this help and stay safe. Cassiopeia talk 02:19, 23 January 2022 (UTC)Reply

Wefarm Article Title question

edit

WeFarm article was using both WeFarm and Wefarm I verified that Wefarm is correct and changed in article but I think that means that Article title should be changed too but I'm not sure how to do that (or maybe don't have permission?) If I can do that I want to make sure there aren't any things I need to do before I change it that I should do first? KNY22 (talk) 20:38, 24 January 2022 (UTC)Reply

If you'd like to rename a page, click here, and type in the new name and a rationale, and click "Move page". (You should have the relevant permission to do this.) Moving a page will create a redirect, so any links to the old page aren't broken. Giraffer (talk·contribs) 20:48, 24 January 2022 (UTC)Reply
I note that the sources cited in the article include some that stylize the name as "Wefarm" and others that do it as "WeFarm". According to WP:COMMONNAME we are supposed to follow what the generality of sources do rather than any preference expressed by the organization itself. I didn't do a complete survey of the sources, just enough to see that there were some of each. — jmcgnh(talk) (contribs) 20:54, 24 January 2022 (UTC)Reply
Thanks Giraffer and jmcgnh. It seems like given the citation question maybe I'll just leave it.
