Welcome
editHello Justyn, and welcome to Wikipedia. I hope that you enjoy yourself being a Wikipedian, Remember to sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~

If you need help, see Wikipedia:Questions, ask me on my talk page, or place {{helpme}}
on your talk page and someone will be along to help.
This edit [1] was made without consensus. We have decided to use "Merry Go". WhisperToMe 14:38, 17 June 2006 (UTC)
- Please remember that in the English Wikipedia, names used by official English publications are to be used over how they're spelled in Japanese publications, with Japanese and other alternative spellings following it. Devil Fruits
editYo! Just asking you not to go in and change the Devil Fruit names for One Piece right now. We have a discussion going on over how the page should be set out (see discussion page). Can you wait until its over before stepping in and changing it? I've just told Geg the same thing (I was also gonna tell you earlier but forgotUser_talk:Geg#Whoa.21). Yeah. Not saying don't change them, just wait a while until everythings been decided okay? ;) Angel Emfrbl 16:01, 19 September 2006 (UTC)
Folks, what is said in the Wikiproject, from what I know, cannot be considered "policy" - Just a guideline!
The true policy is at: Wikipedia:Manual of Style for Japan-related articles WhisperToMe 01:41, 20 September 2006 (UTC)
From much of my experience, much of it IS policy. Try to deviate from the format used for Japanese people names, and other editors may revert.
Also, I saw the discussion on the Wikiproject page - Not all editors agree with the "fans determine the usage" - I'll let Zoro be a stalemate - I do plan to change Merry Go ASAP, though. WhisperToMe 01:58, 20 September 2006 (UTC)
License tagging for Image:Goe Goe no Mi.jpg
editThanks for uploading Image:Goe Goe no Mi.jpg. Wikipedia gets thousands of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.
For more information on using images, see the following pages:
This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. If you need help on selecting a tag to use, or in adding the tag to the image description, feel free to post a message at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. 09:04, 21 September 2006 (UTC)
Berries
edit"(diff) (hist) . . Roronoa Zoro; 02:36 . . Justyn (Talk | contribs | block) (Berries to Belli)"
How do you know Eiichiro Oda intended "Belli"? Where does it say that? WhisperToMe 02:38, 26 September 2006 (UTC)
Then it looks like Oda hasn't or could not decide which to use. It also looks like that the fanbase has not even chosen a particular spelling consistently at all, right? I would stick with "Berries" if I were you, and then describe the romanization issue in a section of One Piece somewhere. WhisperToMe 02:51, 26 September 2006 (UTC)
By the way, some of the name changes in the English versions go WAY before the dub - So I don't see in particular why people upset with the dub should be upset with them in particular. WhisperToMe 02:56, 26 September 2006 (UTC)
Name changes in OP are not unique to the US/Canada versions at all; The French changed Usopp's name to Pipo and Sanji's to Sandy. The Germans changed Luffy to Ruffy and use Lorenor Zorro. The Greeks changed just about every name. I am okay with some of the OP name changes, but not all of them (i.e. Zoro, albiet I feel like the change may have been inevitable) - IMO, though, I feel like it's Wikipedia's duty to use (at least for the most part) English-language version names to cater to the "average Joe" - Not too many typical Americans, British, etc. watch fansubs or know about them. WhisperToMe 03:21, 26 September 2006 (UTC)
"(diff) (hist) . . Roronoa Zoro; 03:15 . . Justyn (Talk | contribs | block) (How is it a fan name when Oda has written it as "Belli"?)"
Then it's Engrish, because Oda also wrote it as "Beli" - That's inconsistent.
Also, Geg and I chose to use "Atem" instead of "Atemu" in YGO articles partly because Geg and I decided that "Atemu" was most likely Engrish.
WhisperToMe 03:36, 26 September 2006 (UTC)
By the way, Oda hasn't consistently spelled Berries, so I cannot trust his judgement for the naming. I know that sounds sacreligious, but that's the truth. WhisperToMe 03:38, 26 September 2006 (UTC)
The MOS was referring to words, not names. See, I tried using the MOS with the Tessaiga debate with InuYasha. That didn't work. WhisperToMe 04:06, 26 September 2006 (UTC)
"And even with all of the variations, we can be sure that Oda has never actualy actualy written it as "Berries" or "Berry"."
VIZ uses Berries. WhisperToMe 04:07, 26 September 2006 (UTC)
I am referring to Wikipedia:Manual of Style for Japan-related articles... WhisperToMe 04:18, 26 September 2006 (UTC)
Fish-Men/Fishmen
editWhy does it have '-' when Mermen doesn't? Well Mermen is already a renouned fantasy species and Fishmen are not. I have a much more detail explaination I would go into but I don't want to argue over such a small change. Angel Emfrbl 05:45, 28 September 2006 (UTC)
Do you have consensus to make such changes? I am telling you right here and right now that I am opposed to the blanket changes here. WhisperToMe 00:25, 29 September 2006 (UTC)
"f you mean the "Shichibukai" thing, then it's because the page itself uses "Shichibukai", almost all of the One Piece pages use "Shichibukai", the guidelines on the matter say "Shichibukai" should be used."
I meant most of the changes in general (including "Berries" to "Belli") - But, the thing is, it *was* Seven Warlords of the Sea - Some other user moved it without my knowledge. WhisperToMe 01:04, 29 September 2006 (UTC)
In fact, you moved it [3], saying it was Wikipedia policy. WhisperToMe 01:05, 29 September 2006 (UTC)
User:Wknight94 probably moved it with no knowledge of the debate; all he did was do something you asked for. He did NOT stop and consider the case. Did you disclose to him that this was being contested? WhisperToMe 01:46, 29 September 2006 (UTC)
- I moved the page because there were no good arguments against moving it and the arguments for it were solid. Do you want to explain more? —Wknight94 (talk) 02:08, 29 September 2006 (UTC)
Wikipedia:Requested_moves SPECIFICALLY states that it is to be used for uncontroversial moves. User:Geg and I had opposed the moving stuff, so... WhisperToMe 02:49, 29 September 2006 (UTC)
If I didn't mention that sooner, I guess I should have, though. I told Geg about this... I assume he'll be against it too, since he was against Zoro being at Zoro. WhisperToMe 03:13, 29 September 2006 (UTC)
"(To WhisperToMe) The Nintendo evidence you cited is erelivent, Nintendo owns all of those, and Nintendo changed the name of Nintento's Japanese name "Rockman" to "Megaman". Nintendo changed the name of Nintendo's "Famicon" and "Super Famicon" systems to "Nintendo Entertainment System", and "Super Nintendo Entertainment System"."
Shueisha paid VIZ Media money to produce the English-language OP editions. Shueisha endorses VIZ's changes. In fact, VIZ is half-owned by Shueisha. In other words, Shueisha allowed and supported the name changes :) WhisperToMe 20:16, 30 September 2006 (UTC)
Administrational assistance with a repeat vandal
editThe annonymus user "66.69.239.148" has repeatedly vandalised the pages : Creatures of Magic: The Gathering, and Paintball, he has been warned, and continues to vandalise, would you be able to temporaraly, or permenently block him from editing those pages? (Justyn 17:31, 4 October 2006 (UTC))
- That IP vandalized only three times yesterday and stopped immediately after the most recent warning so he seems to have blocked himself in a manner of speaking. If s/he returns, by all means, leave an entry at WP:AIV. —Wknight94 (talk) 18:10, 4 October 2006 (UTC)

Dark Yugi's Japanese name

That reminds me - I've seen instances of Dark Yugi's Japanese name with AND without the "の" "no", BUT the name itself remains the same. Same with Fujiwara-no-Sai and other Heian figures. WhisperToMe 06:45, 12 November 2006 (UTC)
Amputations/Tourniquets etc.
editHey - article looks fine as it is now, just thought I'd explain the thing about reversible amputations. A medically required amputation is not normally reversed, you're right - which is why someone who has an amputation following a tourniquet has had a permanent amputation: as you say, the limb is dead. In the case, though, of traumatic amputation (e.g. someone gets their arm in the meat slicer) there is scope for reattachment, which has a variable survival rate. That's why I felt it was important to keep the "permanent amputation" in. --John24601 06:13, 22 November 2006 (UTC)

Dracule Mihawk
editSorry, dude, but it must go to Dracule. Wikipedia:Google test states that incorrect names may not be used.
You must prove that Juraquille is correct. Otherwise, it must go.
And before you cite something else, I cite the Tessaiga debate (even though Tetsusaiga is technically correct as it is officially used. WhisperToMe 05:20, 3 December 2006 (UTC)
"Further judgment: the Google test checks popular usage, not correctness. For example, a search for the incorrect Charles Windsor gives 10 times more results than the correct Charles Mountbatten-Windsor."
Unless Oda specifically spells this guy's name as Juraquille in English, the name's incorrect. While, AFAIK, Oda never uses Dracule either, Dracule is official (as the VIZ manga uses it), so it's the only choice available. WhisperToMe 05:25, 3 December 2006 (UTC)

- Your sense of logic confuses me. If the bounty isn't out, why even bother writing it out? I'm sick of spoilers ruining hopes, even hidden text will give the wrong idea to a editor here. If its not written as fact we should reframe from posting ANYTHING on wikipedia at all. even *Maybes*. I don't 100% like it either, buts that it. Angel Emfrbl 17:25, 5 December 2006 (UTC)

Delete happy
editIncreditable isn't it... I put up one article for delete until the wrong tag and the delete happy member who corrected my deletation tag went around and put up everything he could...
This sort of thing drives you mad no? Consider we started out with one article that really needed deleteing and the others we did not. This has happened before when someone put one of the articles up for deletation. It makes you reluctant to to put things up for deletation on wikipedia for the fear of the outcome. Removing is not enough
editOkay this is a major problem with all of us on the One Piece pages. We remove vandalism but we rarely take action against them. After the recent heavy vandalism from one person on our minor characters page I reported him and found while I presumed my fellow mmebers would have taken the actions already, they had not. Okay I jumped ahead of myself and made myself look a fool, but I tend to be too impatient here and make that mistake often.
I've been wanring people of IP adresses and still we get the same set of IPs coming back. The problem is not the vandals completely, but also those involed as editors. Listen, reverting or removing a vandal edit is just not enough. There are other steps too we need to take otherwise people won't get the message. Check the IP adresses talk page then refer to this page for futher action: Wikipedia:Vandalism.
We need to get into this habbit of trying to prevent vandals. As I mentioned with the minor characters page, we can't ban a person until they get a level 3 status, so there is nothing we can do about the IP adress there. Angel Emfrbl 21:27, 9 February 2007 (UTC)

Hey now...
editOne minute your saying your only acting as Devil's whats-it-called and now your offended we've gone ahead. I'm under pressure here. Both from you saying "just don't do it" and TTN who is saying "merge". I don't like being under pressure. If you don't want to get involved with One Piece then thats fine. Your rarely do anything and will be missed... And to be honest... I'm only seeing if this work. If the pages don't work, then I'll unmerge everything.
There is no need to get uptight about it. We've been saying for MONTHS that the pages need inproving and changing... That c ertain pages have too much info and need cutting back. And every so often, we had digs from people for having too many pages. If no one does anything to solve these problems Justyn, then you get these things crop up.
And I'm feeling guilty about being in the middle of this now. I prefer little edits, like keeping speculations off pages and so forth... Removing rumours. I hate these mass changes because:
- There will always be someone who doesn't like them.
- I never get enough feed back before hand.
Now I'm not saying I didn't ignore you, I took a lot of notice of your advice. Now I'm finding myself trying to find good reasons for keeping articles. It was easier to find the reasons for merging then not. But bottom line, there are two people calling for merges and only one person. If we had more discussioning it... Then this wouldn't happen (I don't go against the bigger side). But the trouble is, I've been wanting SOME of the pages merged for a while... And TTN wanted a lot merged. (I'm actually wondering looking at the pages if his number is really a good thing, I stress shock at the number he wanted merged).
To be honest... I'm beginning to regret giving into TTN's pressure... This is why I usually stay by the Wikia and not wikipedia. I'm not forced into these things there.
But anyway, I won't bother you now. If you are not hanging the One Piece articles, then we won't met paths again. You will be missed greatly (really, I don't want to see the familair faces disappear and I know you from the Wikia) by me at least. Anyway... This has somewhat put me off mass merges. I don't like this kind of pressure, not being forced into making decisions, I'd prefer to take it carefully then TTN's insistance of mass merges. T_T Angel Emfrbl 21:46, 16 May 2007 (UTC)
- Yeah, I know about him. He has been quiet for a while now. I have his page on watch and have been looking at people's comment in the past few months. The mass merger did do something, strengthen some of our articles. But at the cost, in the next 72 hours a lot of people will find out whats happen. I didn't want to retire the characters template out of respect for the creator, now I will have to. I think next time, I'll get more people in to discuss... Hell I don't care where they come from. Even if in the end you'd still lost, I would feel better for you if you hadn't have been alone there in that discusion, that someone else had backed you up.
- I didn't care if the outcome still sided with me and TTN, I still hoped someone would see your side. It well... Doesn't feel like we've discussed the issue, I left it open a week and no one came in and discussed. All that has happened is two people against one person said "yeah lets merge". It makes it seem like there are two Gods around the Wikpedia One Piece pages - me and TTN. I'm currently getting digs from a few people already in the past months because people say I act like I own them... I don't, but if no one else won't fix the probs people create no one else will. And every mass set of related articles needs someone with a history attached to them... And One Piece is my most knowledgable subject... So thats why I've been around for many months now.
- But I agree with you - next time, I round up people from elsewhere to discuss things... I'm also going to stick with my stance on issues next time. Even if it sides with TTN, I'm only going to do the things I am willing to do. I don't think I want another event like this. I retired from Wikipedia once, I only came back because some idiot Naruto fan vandalised articles and no one was able to spot all his mistakes because they lacked some of the knowledge I pocessed. Project One Piece?
editHey now... I know you don't want to be bothered. But woudl you be intereasted in helping set up a One Piece project? I'll only ask once so you don't have to reply, just ignore me if you don't want to get involved. The merger has been a headache... But the most AMAZING thing about it is people only entered it after it ended and as far as I can see - no one wants to sit there and bring a single page up to standard so we can avoid this. Its on the main One Piece talk page if your intereasted. See you around. Angel Emfrbl 07:58, 23 May 2007 (UTC)

Orphaned non-free media (Image:Suna Suna no Mi.jpg)
editThanks for uploading Image:Suna Suna no Mi.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

Wow
editI came back to wikipedia to fix the Devil Fruit names being altered when someone put the new character profiles in... But you've already fixed them. It doesn't matter I've got other things to fix. You go away for a few weeks and nonsense creeps in... And fanboyism. Angel Emfrbl 16:55, 9 October 2007 (UTC)
VG Cats
editWikipedia is very m uch against trivia (unfortunatly) and I will have to agree on the notion that VG Cats isn't a good thing to put on a page. That would be just like adding "Spiderman appeared in 8-bit theatre" to a page... I think you have to draw the line with web-based comics. Angel Emfrbl 10:44, 1 December 2007 (UTC)
- I'm trying to start a new section, partialy to shut that neo-deletionist up, partialy to show that the charater is in other media. And as I said, it shows "real world imapact", therefore Luffy's, Zoro's, and Chopper's pages are, unless this guy decides to increase his destructive edit count (~500 with not a constuctive edit of any kind. I checked.), likely safe from this merge-fest. (Justyn 10:52, 1 December 2007 (UTC))
- I have a funny idea that was behind it after reading the merge topic. Justyn, I do agree with a merger you know. I'm not just a OP wikipedian anymore, though I rarely edit pages I do check up on them from time to time and edit things if need be. I'm actually going to do something to a few pages I've got noted in my favourites to bring them up to speed. Having monitored the OP pages for over a year now and seen them then and now, I can't help but only admit TTN is right in some aspects.
- As for VG Cats its kind of a web-based comic that is more of a fandom thing for various fandoms the authour is interested in... The idea of a real world resource (from reading pages like Superman, several of the Mortal Kombat pages and various other anime/gaming pages) is more accepted when its along the lines of interviews, professional magazine/editor reviews and documentaries. Perhaps you would reconsider thinking on this with that in mind... Oda has done interviews and there have been a few documentries on OP (though very hard to find since they were Japanese). Perhaps you might reconsider swapping VG Cats references for something else. The 10th Annaversay (yeah I can't spell that word) is a good example of a liable source as Oda + Luffy's Voice Actor gave an interview in that. Angel Emfrbl 11:10, 1 December 2007 (UTC)
- The other thing I note is the VG Cats thing is trivia... Which from my experience the great Wikiepdia community hates and loathes in general very much. But I did once beat them at their own game if yours interested: One_Piece#Influences. If you can fluff it up and join much information together, you can turn 4 sentances of trivia into a huge section that isn't trivia anymore and thus can't be taken off. I also did it to several Mortal Kombat character pages once (though someone didn't get a hint and add more trivia afterwards). thats how you beat wikipedia. ;) Angel Emfrbl 11:18, 1 December 2007 (UTC)
You know... After writing that I actually thought about it, there is a way to get VG Cats on the page and make it legit would you believe.
New Sub-Heading: "Cultural Impact"
Then take things from this section: right here and String them together. Somewhere mention its populaurity and the cultral impact of said character and THEN mention VG Cats as an example. So long as you write it in artcle/documentary form and not trivia form, it will be absolutely fine and you can sit back and smile. Angel Emfrbl 11:44, 1 December 2007 (UTC)
I've got to ask it...
editLet put this across...
- Say I left the OP articles for 1 month. If I came back to them, would I see all the problems fixed with them sorted?
- Since you are fighting so hard to have no change done to them, would you be so kind to help do as much work as you have done fighting any changes to them? So far I've seen you scream anti-mergers yet I've only seen 1 or 2 attempts from you to change things for the better.
I'm just getting annoyed here, I know your hearts in the right place, but this is wikipedia. I just want to see something done. Your minds set, whenever TTN throws in the rules to you you fight them reguardless, you constantly throw the same few rules against the many he throws back at you. If nothing happens, just show me it was worth sitting on the sidelines while you constantly snap at everyone okay? Give it that much respect okay? Because so far, your all talk and little effort which is why I won't support you on any of your arguments.
At the end of the day, I'm the one with all the OP pages on watch, monitor who edits what pages, and lets just say... I'm so not impress with you. Angel Emfrbl (talk) 08:44, 20 December 2007 (UTC)
- I quit. I'm tired with arguing with someone who clearly is talking a load of crap but isn't going to show effort. Come visit me at the Wikia when you've come to your senses and are at least prepared to do SOMETHING then just sit there saying everythings cool all the time without doing anything to improve things. At least at the Wikia I know everyone is working to fix problems - not create more arguments. Angel Emfrbl (talk) 12:16, 20 December 2007 (UTC)
- Its not you... Its the talk on that discussion page in general. At least you've been bothered to give a decent response other then "Just because..." like many of the others. At least you've given guideline quotes. The whole situation has got me annoyed in general on the basis of the fact most of the people who respond have appeared from nowhere and will disappear again but are hear to express their opinion without giving any imput back (worst then you... At least you added VG Cats). I'm just very tired, I can't do anything major to the pages to fix things while this whole matter is on. I can add refs, thats it. I refuse right now to do anything for a month... Or at least until the discussion grinds down to a hault, which ever comes first.
- Most of the reserach I did ages ago for a project page. I can't recall the details but the next stpe I think depended on how far things were took. One project group involved preposing the matter in front of wikipedia first. I'm too tired right now to think about it. I'm actaully quite ill today. I'm just trying to get something done here to fix one on going problem. Sorry if I get mad at you... But the problem with your suggestion of 'do nothing' is that thats whats going to happen... Nothing.
- I know what I would like... TTN doesn't agree to it. We have two suggestions (I believe they were4 and 5, 5 being no change). Either way people would be happy. Trouble is I can't convince TTN on no.4 souly and I don't know how everyone is going to react reading the posts. I'm probaberly going to spend a few days on other pages, then after christmas re think the matter and how it can resolved, if nothing happens. Angel Emfrbl (talk) 11:36, 21 December 2007 (UTC)
Compromise
editHey Justyn, I noticed the merge proposal that you have been working on over at Talk:List_of_One_Piece_characters#Merger. It seems that you an TTN have reached an impasse. I would you encourage you to work towards a compromise solution at this point. I have left a note in a similar vein on his talkpage. —Cronholm144 20:03, 21 December 2007 (UTC)
AfD nomination of List of characters in Dominic Deegan: Oracle for Hire
editI have nominated List of characters in Dominic Deegan: Oracle for Hire, an article you created, for deletion. I do not feel that this article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and have explained why at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/List of characters in Dominic Deegan: Oracle for Hire. Your opinions on the matter are welcome at that same discussion page; also, you are welcome to edit the article to address these concerns. Thank you for your time. Time for Talk is over...
editStill not edited pages. But someone asked me to get something together as a demo of what the OP pages will be. I've done a sample page, needs work, of the Straw Hat crew. I know you won't like it, but its wikipedia acceptable (all it needs is the refs which I will glad find). See that discussion page. You can make alterations, I want to get something together everyone is happy with. Everyone agrees TTN's suggestion is too extreme, but we've got pressure to bring something together now. Angel Emfrbl (talk) 11:05, 23 December 2007 (UTC)
Roronoa Zoro Article
editI'm going to be replacing the current Zoro article with the version I created here. It's not as lengthy, includes all material we can currently reference and removes much of the fanism. Anything we come up with later can be added from there. If you don't have any strong objections or suggestions for improvement, then I'll take care of it in a couple days. Please keep in mind, this is only to prevent the giant merge that keeps getting proposed. The mergers may be inevitable, but if we can bring the standards of the main articles up, then I think they'll be safe. Ark (talk) 23:02, 29 December 2007 (UTC)
Disputed fair use rationale for Image:Miss Doublefinger.jpg
editThanks for uploading Image:Miss Doublefinger.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Please read the instructions at Wikipedia:Non-free content carefully, then go to the image description page and clarify why you think the image qualifies for fair use. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it will be deleted within a couple of days according to our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot (talk) 19:19, 2 January 2008 (UTC)
Usopp article
editI replaced the Usopp article with a slimmer model. If you're not too busy, take a look and leave me feedback. A little help watching over the page for the next few days so it doesn't get reverted would be great too. Thank you. Ark (talk) 19:53, 16 January 2008 (UTC)
A little Curiousity...
editWhat was the guideline: SP:N or whatever it was that you were talking about in the list of OP characters archieves page? TTN pointed out a few days ago we have two legit sources on the Zoro page... You pointed out in that archieve that a page only needs two legit sources. Please tell me Justyn if my curiousity might help us here a little. I just don't like TTN's style... He has now reached the end of my nerves. So have you, but I at least know you care about the articles more then he does. Please tell me if we have found a spot of salt to rub on a open wound here.
And if we just need two sources per page... Well... I can give two legit sources for every page quite easily. ;) Angel Emfrbl (talk) 16:22, 18 January 2008 (UTC)
- Ah! TTN got there first. WP:N is what you apparently were on about. Still, I'm reading that page, from my opinion... Zoro is safe reguardless After checking out the info on that page and going over that guidelines, merging it isn't an option, but TTN won't be convinced. Now I'm reading: Wikipedia:Arguments to avoid in deletion discussions to see if that helps. From reading that page... Somethings are bothering me now about TTN's arguments. Angel Emfrbl (talk) 16:30, 18 January 2008 (UTC)
- While I support a merger, as stated before, I do not want a full merger if possible. If it happens I'll accept it. But its not what bugs me... Everyone has agreed that a part merger (all those into their own crews articles, with SHs being left as the only querable as to being merged) is acceptable in previous discussions... And TTN states he will go ahead with it... But eventually he wants to merge everything into one article anyway. I see no point in this, when the majority of editors have pointed out a mass list will not aid us. I know we can create one strong article out of many with just part merging, but the list isn't going to help. And the constant arguments in that article isn't going anywhere at all now.
- Major headaches all-round. Thats all I can say. And no matter what I don't think we're going to be able to create articles that satisfy TTN's desires. I'm going to be honest here; pleasing TTN is not want I want, never has been never will be. At the end of the day, we're all here to manage a bunch of articles, that is all any of us are and all TTN has done so far is draw out a discussion longer then it needs to be, taking everyone's attention away from the articles with no definate end in sight. We have only what... a week now before he claims he'll enforce the merge. I don't like that at all.Angel Emfrbl (talk) 18:28, 18 January 2008 (UTC)
One Piece Interviews
editIf you're still interested in contributing to the OP articles, we could really benefit from any interviews you can find involving voice actors, anime directors or Oda himself. I know I'm coming off as rather pushy regarding the current content of the articles, but it's only temporary until the deletionists are off our backs. I don't know if you've seen the Naruto Uzumaki article, or any of the Sailor Senshi, but they have loads more plot information than we have, and several Sailor Moon articles have made Good Article status. So once TTN and his cronies are taken care of, we'll be free to steadily add to the plot summaries. Ark (talk) 03:52, 26 January 2008 (UTC)
- Yea, I've mined all those for quotes already. I was hoping you knew of some that I didn't, specifically VA interviews, either from the Japanese cast or the FUNimation cast. I found one between Oda and Tanaka, but I don't have a source for it, just a transcript. Thanks anyway though. Ark (talk) 16:02, 26 January 2008 (UTC)
Current problems
editJustyn, if you are around, would you care to help Gune save some OP pages. I don't know who else could help here. We have another person worst then TTN for deleting things around with a lot more support. If you will not, then Gune is alone this time. I don't know what else to do... There is no one but me and Gune between wikipedia obivion. If anything, at the very least can you leave some info on User talk:Gune page on how to fight them. Angel Emfrbl (talk) 18:23, 8 June 2008 (UTC)
Please quit trying to be pointy and acting so jerky. An AfD merge doesn't mean you just shove the stuff into the existing article and ruin it. It needs to be done PROPERLY or it will just get removed completely from the chapter list. There is a discussion in the project on how to deal with this unsourced stuff, which is normally never covered in a chapter LIST. However, since you seem to be really impatient, I've merged in the data in a much briefer format, attempting to understand the hideous grammar of the old list. Now, feel free to go find sources for all of that side story stuff, or it will be removed from the article after a month. I couldn't find a single reliable source mentioning any of them. -- Collectonian (talk · contribs) 08:33, 21 June 2008 (UTC)
