Hey, Justin! You and I started creating the entry for [[Visual Studio .NET]] at exactly the same time (I realized this when I tried to submit my version of the article and got an edit conflict). Anyway, I combined our two entries the best I could. If you see something you don't like, feel free to change it (of course! this is Wikipedia... :) -Frecklefoot --- Dear Justin- Welcome, please let me know if I can help you with any of this coding stuff. Nerve agents (V-series)

Thanks for your help at VG (nerve agent) and other nerve agent pages. I've been meaning to get in there to clean those pages up, but I just haven't been able to find the time lately. – Clockwork[[User talk:ClockworkSoul|Soul]] 15:03, 10 Mar 2005 (UTC)

Unalienable

edit

Hi, Justin. I put "unalienable rights" in Starship Troopers and you changed it to "inalienable". I just changed it back for reasons that I gave in Talk:Starship Troopers#Unalienable. I hope this isn't being too "bold in editing". —JerryFriedman 16:41, 2 August 2005 (UTC)Reply

I see that and I've left another warning. They also blanked an article, Faggetry, which is now on AfD. However, it may be a different user as they are not working on the Barney & Friends articles. Thanks for the heads up. CambridgeBayWeather (Talk) 20:54, 17 January 2006 (UTC)Reply

I really do not feel like playing this game of "i change, you change". Your comments are missing much and is much more POV your way. PM me with some other way that i can reach you to discuss this matter. I have yahoo aim and msn im softwares.

I've tried to send you an email through Wikipedia, you don't have an

address specified. I've left a message on your user page to please discuss this change on the talk page before committing it; you haven't responded there. I've created a new section for you on the talk page to discuss your specific changes. Justin Johnson 22:06, 13 March 2006 (UTC)Reply

Justin Johnson 22:14, 13 March 2006 (UTC) ok.. await my request Hi, The Zeus character is now scremaing (in caps, no less) for us/me to dismantle the discrepancies page, all the while trying to have a discussion with me on my talk page (which I invited). He seems to want others brought in, and is in quite an uproar (talking about legal action, presumably against free speech). I don't know if we should bring in arbitration or how these processes work. I considered making some kind of vote... Any thought? Lundse 10:50, 18 March 2006 (UTC)Reply

Not against free speech... and not me taking legal action... I just

said I will notify KJA and Brian of having illinformed opinions in an encyclopedia - all of which have answers to - being disguised as fact. That is not free speech. that is a fabrication of facts in order to hurt someones image and their creative work. There are no proven inconsistencies yet which I have not been able to address. Yes, I invite anyone who wants to try to prove something to me but as of now I have spent 5 days on answering your questions, which at this point seem to be a variation of questions that I have already answered and those other answers I wrote that someone decided to delete. Ask distinct quesions and conceed to the ones that I have justified. These OPINIONS do not belong here... Moreover, typing is caps is not yelling... it stresses a point. One which you fail to see otherwise.

Zeus69962 18:29, 18 March 2006 (UTC)Reply
There's a couple problems here Zeus:
  • Yes, typing in all caps is considered raising your voice. This is

common Internet etiquette, and if you think not, then you're simply wrong and out of step with, well, everyone else. (FYI, in our chats when I typed all in caps, I was screaming).

  • screaming involves vocal processes. Thus, it is not screaming. It is a

stress of an opinion.

  • Threats, impotent or otherwise, do nothing to improve communication,

and instead make Lundse and I want to ignore you and simply revert your changes without even looking at them. I doubt that BH and KJA even give a shit about what this says, and if they do, there's nothing they can do about it besides involving themselves here in the same way you have. And to be perfectly honest, I don't give a shit if BH and KJA know about this and curse my name every minute of the day; I suspect Lundse feels the same.

  • 1)I did not threaten, 2) if you revert my changes without looking at

them then you would be even more ignorant than you are now., 3) I doubt KJA and Brian would want to spend the time on you, however, I feel that it is my duty to them and the fans to show you the error in your ways here. Thus, I will not stop until it is off the page as it should be, 4) You giving a **** about KJA and Brian are the least of their concerns and should not be dignified with an answer.

  • Are you aware that the "Controversies" text that you linked to as

approved by yourself is simply an earlier version of the wikipedia page in question?

  • If that's true then put it back... I can agree to that which it

states.

  • The point of the discrepancies page, like the contoversies section,

is to present both sides, so counterarguments are allowed there. For any discrepancy put there, it's perfectly proper to quote the official Dune FAQ by BH and KJA as their response to it. Succinct, well-written counterarguments are fair. The discrepancies page isn't supposed to be a hatchet job.

  • Do not post things that you are unsure of - I am sure (keep in mind

that I HAVE read every book in the DUNE Universe - you have not.) Moreover, I am not Biased. I even like Franks work more than his sons... that is not the point. Frank is not here to continue it, he gave his son the right to continue it himself, and it was his dying wish. Who are you to question that! This is a scream (the purpose of exclamation marks. The fair thing for all parties now would be to remove the page until we can come to an agreement. If you delete my stuff I will report you. I have enough justifiable proof to show that this is an uninformed opinion.

  • You still don't know Wikipedia well enough to be this

involved in the pages in question. You've accused me of 'disappearing' your text when all I did was move it to an archive of the talk page to clean things up. Spend some more time figuring these things out.

  • dont touch my stuff... You didn't like it when I touched yours did

you?

  • Finally, the basic problem here is that you don't seem able to

accept that others don't think the way you do about these matters. You don't have to agree with the content of the pages as long as you accept that there's a significant part of the fanbase that does feel this way. As I said (repeatedly) in our messenger chats, it's a factual matter that people view these issues this way, and that factual matter is perfectly appropriate for these pages.

  • No! You are posting it as though IT IS FACT when in reality it is not.

I can answer almost all if not every one of these outlandish claims. Post them in a forum not here!

Lundse, if Zeus continues to be abusive, making threats, it would be

appropriate to report him to the administrators. But, in the past, listing the Dune pages on 'requests for arbitration' and 'requests for editing' yields nothing--unless it's a very obvious case of vandalism or an edit war, the admins aren't interested because they don't know the topic well enough. If Zeus gets into reverting our changes like he was before, we can probably get the pages protected while we work it out on the talk page, though. I have not attacked you in anyway that is not retaliatory. You are posting false information. To quote Stan Lee, "Nuff said". I have asked that this be civil many times but you are unwilling to see the truth. That truth is that there is an answer for every one of your questions... or at least enough of them for you not to have a controversy section and claim that there are many unanswered questions because you are not paying attention or are unable to process the information.

Zeus is back

Hi, remember me - the idiot who thought he could persuade Zeusxxxx about discrepancies in the Dune novels? Anyway, he has popped up again and I have requested comments. I hope to get a once-and-for-all acceptance of the view that FH's jihad was not about evil robots. See Talk:Discrepancies (Dune) Lundse 08:44, 28 May 2006 (UTC)Reply

Hi, Justin.

I notice that you have wisely stayed out of most of this recent flap. The talk page is now somewhere around 132 KB and I'm wondering if it isn't time for an archive. What size did you use as a rule of thumb for archiving previous "discussions"? RJCraig 12:03, 4 June 2006 (UTC)Reply
