Ways to improve International Coalition to End Torture

edit

Hi, I'm Salimfadhley. Juristicweb, thanks for creating International Coalition to End Torture!

I've just tagged the page, using our page curation tools, as having some issues to fix. Please consider adding secondary sources (e.g. news coverage, mentions in books, papers) to help verify the information in this article.

The tags can be removed by you or another editor once the issues they mention are addressed. If you have questions, you can leave a comment on my talk page. Or, for more editing help, talk to the volunteers at the Teahouse. Salimfadhley (talk) 02:54, 22 December 2013 (UTC)Reply

Hello Salim, I checked the reference I had made to Union of International Associations' page on International Coalition to End Torture (ICET). It seems UIA has now restricted accessed to that page which provided organizational information to subscribed members only! However, UIA continues to show some information on ICET when you search for international organizations on their website. I added this UIA page as a secondary reference to the page. UIA verifies information on international organizations, prior to publishing them. Also, I believe idealist.org does verify information on non-profit organizations prior to adding a non-profit organization to their website. So, the reference made to idealist.org's page on ICET can be considered as another secondary source.--Juristicweb (talk) 14:48, 22 December 2013 (UTC)Reply

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited ESLP, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Continuum. Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

New deal for page patrollers

edit

Hi Juristicweb,

In order to better control the quality of new pages, keep out the spam, and welcome the genuine newbies, the current system we introduced in 2011 is being updated and improved. The documentation and tutorials have also been revised and given a facelift. Most importantly a new user group New Page Reviewer has been created.

Under the new rule, you may find that you are temporarily unable to mark new pages as reviewed. However, this is nothing to worry about - most current experienced patrollers are being accorded the the new right without the need to apply, and if you have significant previous experience of patrolling new pages, we strongly encourage you to apply for the new right as soon as possible - we need all the help we can get, and we are now providing a dynamic, supportive environment for your work.

Find out more about this exiting new user right now at New Page Reviewers and be sure to read the new tutorial before applying. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 04:28, 13 November 2016 (UTC)Reply

  • Hi Juristicweb. I noticed you added some cleanup tags to Miroslav Jantek which I disagree with. First, you added {{more footnotes}}, but the article is clearly short enough that inline citations are not necessary to be clear what sources are providing what information. Second, you added {{BLP sources}}, but sufficient sourcing has been provided to fully support all information in this stub. Please be careful when patrolling to be sure that you aren't over-tagging articles. Many articles will not need any cleanup tags, and we don't want to discourage or confuse contributors by placing large numbers of irrelevant cleanup tags on their articles. Thank you! — Preceding unsigned comment added by ‎BU Rob13 (talkcontribs) 14:49, 24 November 2016 (UTC)Reply

Greetings Recent Changes Patrollers!

This is a one-time-only message to inform you about technical proposals related to Recent Changes Patrol in the 2016 Community Wishlist Survey that I think you may be interested in reviewing and perhaps even voting for:

  1. Adjust number of entries and days at Last unpatrolled
  2. Editor-focused central editing dashboard
  3. "Hide trusted users" checkbox option on watchlists and related/recent changes (RC) pages
  4. Real-Time Recent Changes App for Android
  5. Shortcut for patrollers to last changes list

Further, there are more than 20 proposals related to Watchlists in general that you may be interested in reviewing. (and over 260 proposals in all, across many aspects of wikis)

Thank you for your consideration. Please note that voting for proposals continues through December 12, 2016.

Note: You received this message because you have transcluded {{User wikipedia/RC Patrol}} (user box) on your user page. Since this message is "one-time-only" there is no opt out for future mailings.

Best regards, SteviethemanDelivered: 01:10, 8 December 2016 (UTC)Reply

WikiProject Wikify: Current Backlog Reduction Plan

edit

Hey, I noticed you marked yourself as a member of WikiProject Wikify and you are currently listed as active. I was wondering if you would be able to assist with our current backlog reduction plan. While traditional drives are more structured month-long sprints by WikiProject Wikify members, there is currently lacking activity within the project and in order to significantly reduce the incredible backlog, members are encouraged to review all articles marked with the Underlinked Template Message - {{underlinked}} - a list of which can be found here - to analyze the worthiness of the template message on the given article. Articles that have nothing to link or are have had wikilinks sufficiently added should have the template removed to clear the backlog and make it easier for editors to find articles in genuine need of wikification. This can be done by any editor; however, all editors should consider joining if they haven't done so already. Thank you!
