License tagging for Image:Genome Soldiers.gif

edit

Thanks for uploading Image:Genome Soldiers.gif. Wikipedia gets thousands of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

Commercial use of Image:GNS member.jpg

edit

Hello, this is a message from an automated bot. A tag has been placed on Image:GNS member.jpg, by another Wikipedia user, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. The tag claims that it should be speedily deleted because Image:GNS member.jpg is an image licensed as "for non-commercial use only" or "used with permission for use on Wikipedia only" which was either uploaded on or after 2005-05-19 or is not used in any articles (CSD I3).

If you created this media file and want to use it on Wikipedia, you may re-upload it (or amend the image description if it has not yet been deleted) and use the license GFDL-self to license it under the GFDL, or to license it under the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike license, or use PD-self to release it into the public domain.

If you did not create this media file but want to use it on Wikipedia, there are two ways to proceed. First, you may choose one of the fair use tags from this list if you believe one of those fair use rationales applies to this file. Second, you may want to contact the copyright holder and request that they make the media available under a free license.

If the article has already been deleted, see the advice and instructions at WP:WMD. This bot is only informing you of the nomination for speedy deletion, it did not nominate Image:GNS member.jpg itself. Feel free to leave a message on the bot operator's talk page if you have any questions about this or any problems with this bot. If you have any questions about what to do next or why your image was nominated for speedy deletion please ask at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. Thanks. --Android Mouse Bot 2 23:58, 29 June 2007 (UTC)Reply

GNS

edit

Jon, all articles in wikipedia must meet criteria, such as verifiability & notability. It is likely that your GNS article meets neither as it currently stands. Hope this helps, --Kukini hablame aqui 21:54, 30 June 2007 (UTC)Reply

Here are a few links to help...please read their content: Wikipedia:Verifiability and Wikipedia:Notability. Best, Kukini hablame aqui 22:31, 30 June 2007 (UTC)Reply
    • In any case your article was pure vandalism because you replaced an existing, valid pgae with your rubbish. Any more of the same and you will be blocked. -- RHaworth 06:34, 1 July 2007 (UTC)Reply

On the contrary, you replaced a valid page with nothing, you deleted it. I did not replace any page, there was no prior page labled GNS. — Preceding unsigned comment added by JonVega7 (talkcontribs)

  • A glance at the history shows you that the page has been there since 2005. Admitedly, it had been inadvertantly deleted when you re-created the article but it was there the first time you created it. -- RHaworth 17:35, 1 July 2007 (UTC)Reply

Nonsense of :{}

edit

Hello, this is a message from an automated bot. A tag has been placed on :{}, by Mrzaius (talk · contribs), another Wikipedia user, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. The tag claims that it should be speedily deleted because :{} provides no meaningful content or history, and the text is unsalvageably incoherent.

To contest the tagging and request that administrators wait before possibly deleting :{}, please affix the template hangon to the page, and put a note on its talk page. If the article has already been deleted, see the advice and instructions at WP:WMD. Please note that this bot is only informing you of the nomination for speedy deletion; it did not nominate :{} itself. Feel free to leave a message on the bot operator's talk page if you have any questions about this or any problems with this bot. --Android Mouse Bot 2 08:38, 1 July 2007 (UTC)Reply

Welcome to Wikipedia. Please do not remove speedy deletion tags from articles that you have created yourself. If you do not believe the article should be deleted, then please place hangon on the page (please do not remove any existing speedy deletion tag) and make your case on the article's talk page. Administrators will look at your reasoning before deciding what to do with the article. Thank you. - Fordan (talk) 15:08, 1 July 2007 (UTC)Reply
