Overlinking

edit

Hi, thanks for your work, but please stop linking the names of well-known countries (e.g. US). Tony (talk) 10:41, 20 December 2022 (UTC)Reply

OK. I was more well accustomed to the JA wiki which has not much of a rule against overlinking. Certainly enforced ones. --Jnglmpera (talk) 10:46, 20 December 2022 (UTC)Reply

Speedy deletion nomination of Hameln (website)

edit

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Hameln (website) requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about web content that does not credibly indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. M.Ashraf333 (talk) 13:08, 27 December 2022 (UTC)Reply

@M.Ashraf333
Good evening.
While I will admit that it wasn't a particularly well written article, and would not have been something I published the way that I did had it not been a translation, I unfortunately didn't really have much to go with as far as sources go as the Japanese Wikipedia article (of which I also posted {{一次資料}}) didn't have any secondary sources that would have been suitable for Wikipedia, and in fact didn't even bother translating in to English a portion of the article that did not have proper citations.
That being said, however, I do believe that the Hameln article should still exist on Wikipedia in some form. The reason why is that not only does the website have a Japanese Wikipedia article, as well as an article on both Pixpedia and Nicopedia (albeit not an independent article for the latter), as well as the fact that the website is one of the more used online novel platforms in Japan both for fanfiction and original work, and I was hoping for someone else to use the article as a springboard.
Thank you for your time.

Hameln (website) moved to draftspace

edit

An article you recently created, Hameln (website), is not suitable as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. Proposed deletion of Yushun Stallion Station

edit

The article Yushun Stallion Station has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Can't find enough in-depth coverage to show that this passes WP:GNG or WP:CORPDEPTH, just simple mentions.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Help with editing

Hi, I see that you added a list to the List of solved missing person cases. I was wondering if you could help me add some entries to list as I am swamped with editing and would be very thankful for any help that I could get. Davidgoodheart (talk) 17:39, 6 October 2023 (UTC)Reply

Hello. I was mainly entering Japanese cases that I was familiar to the list when I did my edits, and while I would love to add some more, I'm not sure how much more I can add as there aren't a whole lot of articles of Japanese MPs in both JP and EN wikis unless they achieved significant notoriety. That said, I'll probably add cases sporadically if I come across one. Cheers. --Jnglmpera (talk) 03:13, 7 October 2023 (UTC)Reply

Your draft article, Draft:JRA Equine Cultural Award

edit

Hello, Jnglmpera. It has been over six months since you last edited the Articles for Creation submission or Draft page you started, "JRA Equine Cultural Award".

In accordance with our policy that Wikipedia is not for the indefinite hosting of material deemed unsuitable for the encyclopedia mainspace, the draft has been deleted. When you plan on working on it further and you wish to retrieve it, you can request its undeletion. An administrator will, in most cases, restore the submission so you can continue to work on it.

Thanks for your submission to Wikipedia, and happy editing. plicit 02:10, 29 December 2023 (UTC)Reply

I have sent you a note about a page you started

Hello, Jnglmpera. Thank you for your work on Yoshio Fujimaki. Netherzone, while examining this page as a part of our page curation process, had the following comments:

Thank you for creating this article on a fascinating Japanese artist. I'll be doing some clean up on it, but am requesting that you take care of the citation errors. I don't read Japanese, so it will be hard for me to do that, and online translator programs make mistakes. Thanks again for your contribution.

To reply, leave a comment here and begin it with {{Re|Netherzone}}. Please remember to sign your reply with ~~~~. (Message delivered via the Page Curation tool, on behalf of the reviewer.)

Deletion discussion about Thomas Lockley

edit

Hello Jnglmpera, and thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia.

While your contributions are appreciated, I wanted to let you know that I've started a discussion about whether an article that you created, Thomas Lockley, should be deleted, as I am not sure that it is suitable for inclusion in Wikipedia in its current form. Your comments are welcome at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Thomas Lockley (2nd nomination).

Deletion discussions usually run for seven days and are not votes. Our guide about effectively contributing to such discussions is worth a read. The most common issue in these discussions is notability, but it's not the only aspect that may be discussed; read the nomination and any other comments carefully before you contribute to the discussion. Last but not least, you are highly encouraged to continue improving the article; just be sure not to remove the tag about the deletion nomination from the top.

If you have any questions, please leave a comment here and prepend it with {{Re|Slatersteven}}. And don't forget to sign your reply with ~~~~ . Thanks!
