Bed. Spent the day closing Six Flags (Half the D@mn coasters were down, only got two of them in.) I really had no clue what the guy was saying. It appeared to me that he was claiming The McD's product was an in valid name because it contains a list and because of that it had to be called List of... what ever.

Hope you had good time, any visits to Kenmore after the game?

I think he was just taking the policies a bit too literally, it happens a lot on here. I wasn't at the game, I was flying in from Kansas State from my PhD interview. I got here and it was like marshal law had been declared (I live in Kenmore Square). The police were in riot gear walking down the streets beating their batons on their padded legs for intimidation like out of some bad sci-fi movie. I guess there was a lot of violence here a couple years ago during the last World's Series win, but still it was a bit excessive. It was actually quite comical. Big n' Tasty

I'm having trouble finding the discussion you mentioned that indicate a consensus for the moving of the article to this title. Wikpedia policy suggests that the title Big N' Tasty/Big Tasty is inappropriate for a number of reasons. First of all, no one would ever look for the topic under that heading with a slash between two burger names. Secondly, a slash in the title creates a sub-article because of the slash, which is inadvisable. One of the two titles should be chosen, and the other redirect (presumably, Big Tasty should redirect to Big N' Tasty. No slash should be used). I am going to make this change unless you can provide some reason why the current name or another name should be used. TheHYPO 22:04, 3 November 2007 (UTC)

McOz

G'day. I noticed that you had recently put up a merge proposal of McOz > Quarter Pounder. I'm not entirely sure why you closed the merge proposal when nobody decided to comment after five days. If I saw it, I would have been one of the select few to put up a case for it. It is notable (much like Kiwiburger which you also put up a merge proposal) because it is a burger that represents certain tastes of a country (McOz isn't even mentioned once in the QP article!). These articles can be rewritten so that it contains sources while being informative. Edit: I've noticed that you merge a hell-of-a-lot of articles without anybody else commenting, then closing it. Seems a little suss for not giving people a chance to look at it. You would probably say that five days is enough, fair to say, however I doubt that a lot of McDonald's articles are accessed every day. Well isn't that quite a bummer. McGriddles

Hiya. It is standard practice to leave empty infobox fields blank, rather than fill them with false information. They can then be filled in with correct information at a later date. The current version says that it has 460 grams of calories (while calories aren't measured in grams), 21 grams of those calories are from fat (again, calories are not measured in grams). It also says that there is "g" of fat, "g" of saturated fat, "g" of trans fat, "mg" of cholesterol, and so on. In effect, the infobox, apart from saying how many "grams" of calories the burger has, is effectively empty. I took it upon myself to tidy the infobox, so that the fields that are empty do not display, as seen here. As I said before, this is standard practice. See, for example, our infobox for actors, where if a field is empty, the field is left fully empty, or removed in the article itself. Such as Ardal O'Hanlon, where only a few fields are filled in.
My point is, I see your revert as quite bizarre, and can't come up with a single reason why you would prefer to have an inaccurate, messy infobox in an article, rather than a correct, tidier one. --Dreaded Walrus ^{t c} 06:38, 17 December 2007 (UTC)

Re: Bad move

Hi, I uncapitalised the "N" because WP:CAPS says conjunctions are left in lower case. The Wizard of Oz's official site spells it as "The Wizard Of Oz", but we don't capitalise the "o" in "of". Spellcast (talk) 19:22, 28 December 2007 (UTC)

Proper nouns are capitalised, but not if they're conjunctions. The "n" is just an abbreviation of "and". Abbreviations of conjunctions are still conjunctions. I'll move it back to the capitals for the meantime because it was like that for a long time. And I'll bring it up at WP:CAPS. Ronald

I know we have clashed a little, but I am assuming the revert on the Ronald McDonald was an error, I saw the duplication and removed it, your revert put the duplication back. Was that your intention? I assumed not, so I removed it again. thanks Sennen goroshi 03:54, 2 December 2007 (UTC)

I took it out solely because the mention of Willard Scott was in several locations in the article already. I thought I was just getting rid of further redundancies, no more no less. I screwed up there .- Jeremy (03:57, 2 December 2007 (UTC))

Yeah, that is what I assumed, despite our differences, I didn't figure you to be a vindictive editor, or the type to edit-war. BTW, I saw the mention of Ronald being called Donald in Japan, I live in Japan, and to be honest I have never heard him being called Donald, but I will try to confirm this one way or another, because it sounds a little strange to me.. I hope when our paths cross again, we can enjoy a constructive editing relationship, rather than some ANI report because of disruption, take care Sennen goroshi 04:08, 2 December 2007 (UTC)
