HDRI article gallery
editWhy do you think the "Gallery" section I added to the High dynamic range imaging article is inferior to the images list aligned to the right ? Note that in the process you removed the most important image of the article, and its description. I think galleries are useful because they avoid cluttering the article headers with a bunch of images. One image is used to illustrate the header and the others are used as examples. --Goa103 (talk) 21:00, 13 May 2008 (UTC)
- It's about balance, you can't have the entire article unillustrated followed by a blob of pictures. --— Jan Hofmann (talk) 00:39, 15 May 2008 (UTC)
Re:HDR
editFirst, it is not my modified version. Second, you had no real reason to remove it, as it did not worsen the image, but better it. diego_pmc (talk) 20:29, 19 May 2008 (UTC)
Nice job.
editYou know which page I mean. Thanks.FX (talk) 01:36, 14 June 2008 (UTC)
Hi. I was wondering what your problem was with Template:Launching (edit | talk | history | links | watch | logs), which you described as "terrible". If you discuss these matters rather than unilaterally removing the template, it might help us to improve it. --GW_SimulationsUser Page | Talk 14:49, 4 August 2008 (UTC)

POV
editYour edit comments indicate your on POV on the topic: Be honest and ["security detainees" is Bush speak for "POW"]. The Camp is referred to by the US and Iraqi government as a detainee camp. Hardnfast (talk) 03:25, 16 August 2008 (UTC)
Orphaned non-free media (Image:Adobe Photoshop CS3 running in Mac OS X.png)
editThanks for uploading Image:Adobe Photoshop CS3 running in Mac OS X.png. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).
If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BJBot (talk) 03:19, 19 October 2008 (UTC)
International Law
editHello, Jan. I hope you're doing well.
Recently, we've been making some contrary edits on Operation Cast Lead. I've responded to your discussion here. I am trying my best to keep my cool, but pardon me if I fail; I am only human.
I can understand where you're coming from in calling Weiner and Bell's work "biased." But the bottom line is that we tend to think that those who disagree with us are biased (and I will easily confess that I tend to think that way, too). But that doesn't mean their opinions should not be voiced. If you read the entire paper, you'll see that Weiner and Bell have very sound sources for their legal opinion, and are a WP:RS. Do they have a bias? Probably. But, then again, so do all sources. Saepe Fidelis (talk) 03:19, 7 January 2009 (UTC)
2008-2009 Israel-Gaza conflict
editYou have no idea how appalled and disgusted I am that you deleted EVERY SINGLE ongoing news coverage link on this article, right at the point Wikipedia was receiving its highest level of readership, people trying to learn more about what was going on. http://en.wiki.x.io/w/index.php?title=2008–2009_Israel–Gaza_conflict&diff=261838628&oldid=261838463 This is Wikipedia. We strive to bring light, not heat. For something this important, you decided to play games. You must be very proud. Flatterworld (talk) 22:15, 26 January 2009 (UTC)
- After reading your reply, I suggest you click on http://www.guardian.co.uk/world/gaza which will clearly never be about Paris Hilton. You were denying people exactly what 'External links' is supposed to provide: links to more in-depth information than an encyclopedia article can provide. Perhaps your local news sources don't provide anything like this, but others do. Flatterworld (talk) 21:50, 6 February 2009 (UTC)
