Your recent edit to Rick Ross was reverted. Per WP:PEACOCK, we dont use terms like "Grammy nominated" as they dont present an informal tone or neutral point of view for an encyclopedia. The phrase "hip hop recording artist" is also an unnecessary change, as "rapper" is more accurate and specific; the infobox for the article specifies his occupation as "rapper" and nothing else (musically). December 2012
editHello, I'm Dan56. Wikipedia is written by people who have a wide diversity of opinions, but we try hard to make sure articles have a neutral point of view. Your recent edit here to Rick Ross seemed less than neutral to me, so I removed it for now. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. Dan56 (talk) 01:47, 24 December 2012 (UTC)
- I hope you understand by now why "Grammy nominated" cannot be in the lead. Discussion should be used when dealing with contetious material, not reverting others' changes, so I opened this post at the article's talk page. Please comment and state your side. Dan56 (talk) 01:54, 24 December 2012 (UTC)
- You can change that too at Pusha T yourself. I dont have an eye for issues among all BLP articles, but you're right, that article should be corrected as well. P.S., dont template the regulars. I noticed you were relatively new, so I used the generic message, but I dont understand the purpose of your "December 2012" post at my talk page. Dan56 (talk) 01:59, 24 December 2012 (UTC)
- Executive producers deal with the business side of music releases rather than record production or the technical/musical aspect. Regardless, since this is a BLP article, editors can argue one side as much as another, but if a source is cited supporting Ross being a producer, then it's unlikely that it will be challenged by any argument to the contrary. - Wikipedia:Biographies of living persons, which has stricter guidelines on attributing material to reliable sources. Dan56 (talk) 02:13, 24 December 2012 (UTC)
