Ph33r!
editI have discovered wierd template names! {{;-)}} Ph33r teh evil {{[[Template::-)|:-)]]}} of death! In other news... why does transclusion favor main namespace over template namespace? Kim Bruning 18:18, 25 August 2005 (UTC)
- Oh hmm, actually {{:-)}} means "transclude -) from the main namespace" (: with nothing in front is main namespace... Ok, let's NOT actually make a fixed template... tooo tempting to some... ;-) Kim Bruning 18:25, 25 August 2005 (UTC)
- Too late!! I've been playing with {{template::-)}} and {{:-)}}. Let the flamewars commence! ~ Papeschr 13:29, 2 March 2006 (UTC)
Respect for the process
editI respect the process of Wikipedia, and your speedy delete. All the same, I feel it is detrimental to do so in this case. I have moved the letter to my talk page and would like to solicit you for advice on spreading the message in a non-disruptive way. TheMessenger 18:44, 26 August 2005 (UTC)
Thanks
editThanks. The whole dialogue surrounding User:Fenian Swine is so stage-Irish that I strongly suspect these guys are all the same bored youth talking to himself. That's why I'd like an IP check. Especially the "indignation", e. g. against Zoe, sounds like they're about to start giggling. Bishonen | talk 19:39, 26 August 2005 (UTC)
- I just read all of that, and I'm inclined to agree. Tim Rhymeless (Er...let's shimmy) 21:55, 26 August 2005 (UTC)
Yeah, me, too. Thanks for cleaning up my User page, by the way. Zoe 06:55, August 27, 2005 (UTC)

- Well, I wouldn't say I'm important, but I do know a lot about Wikipedia, yes. I'm an administrator. We're supposed to know a lot about it. Please sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~), by the way, so people can see it's you. JRM · Talk 12:55, 27 August 2005 (UTC)
Hi there
editRe: Voting is evil - interesting, I hadn't noticed that. It's just a meme, I doubt many people have read it lately :) ("m:polls are evil m:don't vote on everything m:voting is evil" repeat as mantra)
Re: Toby - well, I was just trying to give the proposal a decent change by keeping the discussion in one place. I'm not going to revert war over that though, I just think that the split-up makes it less likely for anyone to accept it.
Radiant_>|< 22:46, August 27, 2005 (UTC)
- <eavesdropping>Does anyone else think it's funny to see m:don't vote on everything has "See also: ... Voting procedure". </eavesdropping> :-) Dmcdevit·t 05:47, August 28, 2005 (UTC)

FlaBot
editPlease see Wikipedia_talk:Bots#Interwiki_bots_and_Unicode_characters_above_U.2BFFFF. A complaint has been made about FlaBot. It should be noted that Interwiki Bot operators are responsible for stopping their bot and reverting any changes which cause problems. Meaning they MUST continuously check links for the articles they change. I am not getting myself involved in this again. Since you claimed responsibility for letting FlaBot back on, please deal with the situation as you see fit. Thanks. --AllyUnion (talk) 08:41, 25 September 2005 (UTC)
