Request reason:
I did nothing, All I did was edit the page for the Blackbone 1, removing as much advertisment as i deamed my limit and re formatting some lines. I did nothing to vandalise anything
Accept reason:
Giving the user the benefit of the doubt, as the blocking admin. Let's see how it goes from here. Alexf(talk) 20:24, 27 January 2023 (UTC)
- Admittedly I don't know that "vandalism" is really the issue here, but I do have some concerns about the edits you made prior to being blocked that I would hope you could address. Please walk me through what you were hoping to do at Backbone One, how you decided on your edit summaries, etc. signed, Rosguill talk 20:17, 30 December 2022 (UTC)
- I was looking at it and some of it wasn't flowing? I guess thats how i saw it. I added a few more sources, aka quoting xbox cloud gamings support for backbone 1.
- I also added more formatting and added some more headlines Iwasaduck (talk) 20:38, 30 December 2022 (UTC)
- Deciding was pretty easy because all i had to do was see how it flowed. Admitally i did make a spelling mistake. But thats all Iwasaduck (talk) 20:41, 30 December 2022 (UTC)
- I’ve asked the blocking admin to chime in here with additional detail and perspective. It is not clear to me the specific vandalism and context that resulted in this block. ZsinjTalk 23:29, 31 December 2022 (UTC)
- @Zsinj: Look at the user's Filter Log . The filter stopped him from deleting sections 10 times in a span of minutes. User should have stopped, and asked what the issue is, if unsure. Instead, deleting text and being stopped by filters continued. I would like the user to explain these actions before I can comment. -- Alexf(talk) 00:02, 1 January 2023 (UTC)
- Oh sure, Yeah that, my internet wasn't working and at first I got a "network connection issue", and then i got the "cool down" message. I wasn't trying to delete whole sections, just the top bit because it looked messy and out of place. I completetly acknowdlge that this may off not be the correct move of spamming it on network issues, but its just out of habbit from other wikimedia hosted wikis. - Alexf, not sure if you saw this response. signed, Rosguill talk 17:52, 27 January 2023 (UTC)
- @Rosguill: No I had not seen it. Ok, will give the user the benefit of the doubt. Unblocked and watchlisted to follow up (wasn't before). -- Alexf(talk) 20:20, 27 January 2023 (UTC)

editHello Iwasaduck. The nature of your edits, such as the one you made to Sony α6700, gives the impression you have an undisclosed financial stake in promoting a topic, but you have not complied with Wikipedia's mandatory paid editing disclosure requirements. Paid advocacy is a category of conflict of interest (COI) editing that involves being compensated by a person, group, company or organization to use Wikipedia to promote their interests. Undisclosed paid advocacy is prohibited by our policies on neutral point of view and what Wikipedia is not, and is an especially serious type of COI; the Wikimedia Foundation regards it as a "black hat" practice akin to black-hat search-engine optimization.
Paid advocates are strongly discouraged from direct article editing, and should instead propose changes on the talk page of the article in question if an article exists. If the article does not exist, paid advocates are strongly discouraged from attempting to write an article at all. At best, any proposed article creation should be submitted through the articles for creation process, rather than directly.
Regardless, if you are receiving or expect to receive compensation for your edits, broadly construed, you are required by the Wikimedia Terms of Use to disclose your employer, client and affiliation. You can post such a mandatory disclosure to your user page at User:Iwasaduck. The template {{Paid}} can be used for this purpose – e.g. in the form: {{paid|user=Iwasaduck|employer=InsertName|client=InsertName}}
. If I am mistaken – you are not being directly or indirectly compensated for your edits – please state that in response to this message. Otherwise, please provide the required disclosure. In either case, do not edit further until you answer this message. signed, Rosguill talk 18:44, 24 January 2024 (UTC)
