Re: Category "Commodore Owners"

edit

Deepest Apologies, Irrevenant. I have a brain like a sieve, and I forget things occasionally. As it is, I have now amended the category to include the Commodore Amiga. Once again, sorry for bogging it up. It's pretty normal practice for me! - Thor Malmjursson 13:24, 31 March 2006 (UTC) Thor's Pet YackReply

Invisible Pink Unicorn

edit

I just wanted to congradulate you on improving my badly-worded, run-on sentence in the Invisible Pink Unicorn article. As I said on the talk page, I was trying my darndest to convey my point, but in the process it got a little mangled and run-on. Thank you for fixing it, as it looks ten thousand percent better now and conveys my point a huge amount clearer. Thanks! -Jetman123 07:54, 8 June 2006 (UTC)Reply

Chinese zodiac

edit

Thanks - I was sick of unreadable tables and realised that if the western dates were matched to the Chinese calendar instead of the other way round (which is what is usual) it all finally made sense. Hopefully someone will fill in the exact dates up to 2043, but it works ninety percent of the time Neelmack 11:52, 20 March 2007 (UTC)Reply

Shovelglove

edit

The article Shovelglove has been speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This was done because the article seemed to be about a person, group of people, band, club, company, or web content, but it did not indicate how or why the subject is notable, that is, why an article about that subject should be included in Wikipedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not assert notability may be deleted at any time. If you can indicate why the subject is really notable, you are free to re-create the article, making sure to cite any verifiable sources.

Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, and for specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for bands, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. See also WP:V. NawlinWiki 03:48, 7 July 2007 (UTC)Reply

Connirae Andreas

edit

Hi. I've seen that your field of interest (at least one of them) is on NLP Now I have written an article on Connirae Andreas and there's been raised the question whether she is notable enough for an article on Wikipedia. I was wondering if have an opinion or sources in mind that may give clarity there? Sincerely Davin7 18:11, 23 July 2007 (UTC)Reply

Thanks anyway. Got some more support now it seems. Davin7 17:24, 26 July 2007 (UTC)Reply

The article will probably be undeleted soon. It's up for deletion review. I deleted only the most recent repost, which was blanked by the author. Mangojuicetalk 05:55, 2 December 2007 (UTC)Reply

No, just my opinion :) What was the objection to the flags before? Only that they aren't on the previous articles? I'd leave it for a day or two to see if you get consensus on the talk page. You might also ask the reverting editor (User Talk:Chuq) on their talk page just to make sure that is his/her only objection. Cheers, Florrieleave a note 05:40, 27 January 2008 (UTC)Reply

On Human evolution

edit

A heads up that I reverted your edit on that page... the anon was trying to make a point with a misunderstanding of the scientific meaning of the word theory and also had added a drive-by POV tag, so I just went ahead and reverted back to the version previous to the anon's edit under the summary "rv POV edits" and although yours was caught in the revert, I didn't mean to imply that your edit was POV as well; I know yours was an attempt to neutralize the POV of the edit. Speedy deletion of Shareware Industry Awards Foundation

edit

A tag has been placed on Shareware Industry Awards Foundation requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a company or corporation, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for companies and corporations.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the article does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the article or have a copy emailed to you. ninety:one 17:59, 12 January 2009 (UTC)Reply

Speedy deletion nomination of Shareware Industry Awards

edit

A tag has been placed on Shareware Industry Awards requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be a clear copyright infringement. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words.

If the external website belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text — which means allowing other people to modify it — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. If you are not the owner of the external website but have permission from that owner, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission. You might want to look at Wikipedia's policies and guidelines for more details, or ask a question here.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. avs5221 (talk) 20:59, 1 March 2010 (UTC)Reply

Jack Charles (British Civil Servant)

edit

This is an automated message from CorenSearchBot. I have performed a search with the contents of Jack Charles (British Civil Servant), and it appears to be very similar to another Wikipedia page: Jack Charles. It is possible that you have accidentally duplicated contents, or made an error while creating the page— you might want to look at the pages and see if that is the case. If you are intentionally trying to rename an article, please see Help:Moving a page for instructions on how to do this without copying and pasting. If you are trying to move or copy content from one article to a different one, please see Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia and be sure you have acknowledged the duplication of material in an edit summary to preserve attribution history.

This message was placed automatically, and it is possible that the bot found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article and it would be appreciated if you could drop a note on the maintainer's talk page. CorenSearchBot (talk) 21:42, 13 March 2010 (UTC)Reply

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Doc Savage, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Planetary (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver).
