ArbCom 2024 Elections voter message

edit

Hello! Voting in the 2024 Arbitration Committee elections is now open until 23:59 (UTC) on Monday, 2 December 2024. All eligible users are allowed to vote. Users with alternate accounts may only vote once.

The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.

If you wish to participate in the 2024 election, please review the candidates and submit your choices on the voting page. If you no longer wish to receive these messages, you may add {{NoACEMM}} to your user talk page. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 00:54, 19 November 2024 (UTC)Reply

Second Italo-Ethiopian

edit

You are the one changing the previously established version, the onus to have others agree to the change is on you, not on me. I will restore the previously version there was before your changes. If you revert again it's three reverts and you are edit warring, let's avoid going to the incidents noticeboard fot this thing that is rather minor. If we go there the admins will come and put back the version there was before the edit war and give you a warning, it's a pointless argument we are having. 2A01:E11:17:40B0:E934:26CF:DDB4:D767 (talk) 11:33, 19 January 2025 (UTC)Reply

This is very interesting. I assume good faith, but please discuss this in the talk-page of the article. The changes I have made align with the page's history (before recent reformatting). If you change the page again, I will revert it and welcome the admins to look into this matter. Historyhiker (talk) 11:45, 19 January 2025 (UTC)Reply
User:Historyhiker, I'll have to report you. I rather not report you. Pleas let's avoid this. 2A01:E11:17:40B0:E934:26CF:DDB4:D767 (talk) 11:50, 19 January 2025 (UTC)Reply
User:Historyhiker, please restore on your own the established version. I rather not report you. It's called Italian East Africa, not Italian Ethiopia. It's the same thing content-wise but it's the official and correct term because Ethiopia was split into four governorates that were made a part of AOI. The people who want what you are putting in there are the ones who argue the opposite of what you argue, namely that there was no territorial change or colony but just an occupation, you are going against the very points you are maing. Put more reason into this. 2A01:E11:17:40B0:E934:26CF:DDB4:D767 (talk) 12:04, 19 January 2025 (UTC)Reply
I appreciate your concern, trust me I do. But please discuss this in the page's wiki so a broader audience can take part in the discussion and stop reverting before an agreement is made. If you signed into your account, I would be more keen and comfortable to discuss since it would give me confidence on your intent. Historyhiker (talk) 12:11, 19 January 2025 (UTC)Reply
