Deletions (Jeanna shepherd & Dirk roshier)
editThanks. CambridgeBayWeather (Talk) 12:49, 17 August 2006 (UTC)
Do you have a higher qualiy version that you can upload. The gif format is not suited to photographs. JPEG would be better. Harryboyles 05:53, 18 August 2006 (UTC)
- I do. Thanks for the feedback. I'll make sure I upload them in the jpeg format in future.J Bar 06:00, 18 August 2006 (UTC)

CityRail line order
editThe order as was already on the different pages is correct according to their website (see the timetables page) and the lists found elsewhere in CityRail's printed promotional material (Eg. the line changes booklet they put out earlier in the year). Can you please change them back? (JROBBO 07:33, 28 August 2006 (UTC))
- I was referring to a (now) out-of-date CityRail map circa 2004. I've changed them back. Harryboyles 12:30, 30 August 2006 (UTC)
Talk page
editThe user help page for talk pages says that deletion of the talk page, once issues are no longer relevant, is a valid measure. I would prefer to keep it blank than to archive it. (JROBBO 13:20, 7 September 2006 (UTC))
Your edit to Wikipedia:Help desk
edit- This automated notice was a false positive: The edit in question was not vandalism. I have taken it up with the bot in question Harryboyles 22:43, 7 September 2006 (UTC)

Sorting out newsticker.png on User:CountdownCrispy
editThank you for updating newsletter.png to newsticker.png on my userpage - had you not done this my userpage may well have looked sloppy and unprofessional for months before I'd noticed! I mean really, you'd have thought the big red cross would have been enough to notify me. Unfortunately, even if I had seen it I wouldn't have been able to do anything - I have a phobia of crosses, brought on by a particularly nasty game of noughts and crosses. ;-)
Thanks again, CountdownCrispy ( ? 22:47, 8 September 2006 (UTC)
P.S. You have a cracking userpage! Very nice!
- Thanks so much for the comment. You've made my day, especially after all the ups and downs I've had in the past week. (And I don't mind you calling me Harry.) Harryboyles 23:20, 8 September 2006 (UTC)
- I'm glad to have brought a bit of light into your day - whilst I can't say I'm the most regular contributor here at Wikitowers, I see all too often people who have become fed up with the system and/or left the site. I think half of the problem is that people aren't thanked nearly often enough for the work they do for each other, so you're very welcome for the comment. :-)
- All the best, CountdownCrispy ( ? 18:35, 9 September 2006 (UTC)
Editing your user page
editI hope you don't mind be editing your user page. I have replaced Template:User friendly and Template:user ubx-5 with User:Llama man/Userboxes/Friendly and User:Feureau/UserBox/ubx-5 so that, instead of having a message that says that a userbox has been moved, you have the actual userbox. Harryboyles 05:53, 7 October 2006 (UTC)
- Thank you for doing the action. I appreciate it. --real_decimic 19:38, 7 October 2006 (UTC)
- No problem. Harryboyles 01:11, 8 October 2006 (UTC)

WikiProject Disambiguation Talk Request
editThis is a form message being sent to all WikiProject Disambiguation participants. I recently left a proposed banner idea on the WikiProject Disambiguation talk page and I would appreciate any input you could provide. Before it can be approved or denied, I would prefer a lot of feedback from multiple participants in the project. So if you have the time please join in the discussion to help improve the WikiProject. Keep up the good work in link repair and thanks for your time. Nehrams2020 22:11, 9 October 2006 (UTC)
Userbox deletion
editYou can delete WP:GUS'd userboxes once transclusion is done via speedy deletion instead of "clogging" up the templates for deletion. There is a specific criteria that allows this for uncontroversial housekeeping (G6). I personally use the following code to speedy delete templates:
- {{Db-g6}} Reason: Orphaned due to [[Wikipedia:Userbox migration]], all instances of transclusion moved to new location.
This helps speed up the process. Harryboyles 11:19, 14 October 2006 (UTC)
- Hi, I'm already using {{db-g6}} (since a few days) for userfied ubx. However, there are some ubx that were up for deletion before or that have transclusion links on protected pages. I thought they might not fall under criteria for speedy deletion. --Bisco 11:26, 14 October 2006 (UTC)
- Sorry about that. It was from about a week ago that I was referring to. Good work by the way :) Harryboyles 11:31, 14 October 2006 (UTC)
DB-Userbox template
editThe reason is that the last time I tried to create a template with a speedy deletion notice, it was deleted somehow. Thank you for your comment nonetheless. Perhaps I will try to make the notice look like a userbox. PoccilScript 09:21, 19 October 2006 (UTC)
- Please take a look at the template now. Respond at my talk page. PoccilScript 10:14, 19 October 2006 (UTC)
Userboxes
editHarryboyles, i see that you changed some GUS userboxes on my page to normal userboxes. Please don't, i want GUS userboxes (though i don't no why). And if you looked close, i already have those userboxes, so you made it so that i have about 4 or 5 different userboxes twice! I already have a problem with bots doing the same thing. In the future, please do not change them. Thank you.Qmwnebrvtcyxuz 18:37, 22 October 2006 (UTC)
Illawarra Line
editI'm wondering where you got your source for the "official" name of the CityRail blue line - according to here and here and [1] on the official site it's "Eastern Suburbs & Illawarra" not the other way round... just puzzled - it's not the first time CityRail has it mixed up though (see Talk:Regents Street railway station, Sydney). Changed user box
editHi there,
Just wondered about the change you made to the user box on my talk page. Could you tell me why you made the change? That way, if I did something the wrong way, I'll know not to do it again.
Thanks!

check before revert
editnot all information can be looked up on the internet check other forms before reverting infomation. some infomation is not common on the transport network inculding taxi stands —Preceding unsigned comment added by 124.176.173.102 (talk • contribs) 15:08, November 19, 2006
All stations
editHi - thanks for the infobox upgrades, but can you please list stopping train type as "all stations", not "all stops" - that's the way CityRail list them on their announcement boards. "Limited stops" is correct though. JROBBO 12:21, 19 November 2006 (UTC)
- Sure, I'll remember that from now on. The taxi rank at Parramatta station was added by an IP address along with other incorrect information. It was left there as a "compromise" as I think my actions in reverting the incorrect information may have seem as being a bit of a stand-off, even though I made attempts at explaining what the policies are here. Harryboyles 12:41, 19 November 2006 (UTC)
- I wouldn't worry about him - I think you did the right thing. If people want to contribute and put stuff like that on WP, they should, as you say, back it up with verifiable sources. JROBBO 23:18, 19 November 2006 (UTC)
would a photo with todays paper do as a verfiable source ????
use of StatusTemplate
editHi, I copied your StatusTemplate in my Italian page it:Utente:Wiso. I have a question: how do you change your status (in/studying...), manually? Maybe it's possibile to use the monobook.js. --WISo 13:12, 27 November 2006 (UTC)
- Now on my Italian page I have a java script thath implement semi-auto set status. If you are interested to develop: it:Utente:Wiso/monobook.js. There is a bug: when the second window opens, click one more time on set status. --WISo 23:23, 29 November 2006 (UTC)
