Please stop changing "Macedonian" to "Slavo-Macedonian" in the Greece article. "Macedonian" is the internationally accepted common name of that language in English, that's what we use. That it's the Slavic Macedonian and not some other Macedonian that is meant in that paragraph is obvious from the context, so no further additions or disambiguation are needed. FYROM Not Macedonia

edit

Macedonians are Greek, I dont understand why this article of -Minorities- should refer to FYROM as Macedonians. Refering to FYROM as Macedonia is an insult to me as a True Macedonian of Greece and to the Greek people. You have no rights in refering them as Macedonians, please change asap. Greece has its own Macedonia region that has been Greek for over 4000 years. FYROM is registered in the UN as FYROM not as Republic of Macedonia. Greece Does NOT recognise them as The Republic of Macedonia, its language or its people. FYROM are slavs who settled into Europe 1000 years after Alexander The Great.

edit

Hello. Please be aware of that of the arbitration comitee ruling that sanctions, including blocks, may be imposed to users editing Macedonia-related articles. Edits such as these, which insert bias into articles, are disruptive, and further disruption will result in a block [1] [2] [3] [4] [5] [6]. Please refrain from making such edits in future.--Pattont/c 13:58, 31 January 2009 (UTC)Reply

Blocked indefinitely

edit

Every edit from this account has been to push a Greek nationalistic POV. The purpose of this project is to create a free encyclopedia. You are treating it as a battleground. As a result, I have blocked you indefinitely from editing Wikipedia. A log of this block will be made at Wikipedia:Requests_for_arbitration/Macedonia_2#Log_of_blocks.2C_bans.2C_and_restrictions. If you wish to appeal your block, you may do so by placing {{unblock|reason}} at the bottom of this page. J.delanoygabsadds 03:08, 17 June 2009 (UTC)Reply

Request reason:

You are refering to FYROM as Macedonia by calling FYROM as Macedonia is disrespectful to Greece and the Greek people and also historically incorrect. The territories that FYROM covers today was know as Paionia. There is 2.5 million Macedonians(Greeks) and 1.3 Millions FYROM. FYROM is listed in the UN as FYROM and not Republic Of Macedonia. Wikipedia should stop been bias and stop rewriting the history of Greece and pleasing FYROM and its propaganda. UNBLOCK ME AT ONCE

Decline reason:

First, I would decline this request for the impolite last sentence alone. Second, per ArbCom decisions of past, present and (likely) future regarding ethnic and national conflicts, POV-pushing SPAs like yours are not allowed on Wikipedia. — Daniel Case (talk) 03:42, 17 June 2009 (UTC)Reply

Request reason:

Once again you are providing users of Wikipedia bias information. FYROM is listed in the UN, EU and other world organization as the Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia. This is accepted by both government of FYROM and Greece. Let me remind you again calling FYROM as Macedonia or Macdonians is disrespectful to Greece and the Greek people and historically incorrect. it is yourself Daniel Case who is allowing this national conflicts without reason. Be aware that there is a Macedonia state in Greece and the people who live there are refering to themself as Macedonians. This matter will be taken further. Shame on you Daniel Case.

Decline reason:

That penultimate sentence is a legal threat, which alone is enough to indefinitely block you. Additionally, every edit you have contributed has furthered the battleground mentality on Wikipedia. It stops now. Horologium (talk) 04:34, 17 June 2009 (UTC)Reply

Request reason:

This is no threat, All I am doing is renaming Republic of Macedonia to former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia that is the correct name listed and accepted both FYROM and Greece. I will take this matter further because of your bias reasons. Mr Daniel Case.

Decline reason:

You listed two unblocks at once. I responded below. Jayron32.talk.contribs 04:59, 17 June 2009 (UTC)Reply

In order to be unblocked, you need to either show how you will not continue the behavior which led to your block, or you must show that your block was incorrect. None of your requests have addressed the reason for which you were blocked, as the issue with the Republic of Macedonia is only tangentially related to your block. You were blocked because all of your edits focused solely on advancing your personal beliefs, regardless of what Wikipedia's policy states. J.delanoygabsadds 04:52, 17 June 2009 (UTC)Reply

Decline reason:

You show no desire to work within the bounds of acceptable behavior at Wikipedia, such as discussing controversial edits before you make them, and respecting long-established consensus on topics such as this. Additionally, per WP:ARBMAC, you are clealy trying to use Wikipedia to further an ethnic conflict and not to add anything useful to the encyclopedia. I see no good reason to unblock this account. Request reason:

Please! pretty please, Rename Republic of Macedonia to Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia as it was before. That is the correct name listed and accepted both FYROM and Greece. Your reason is only one sided and your not helping with the conflict between FYROM and Greece. Thank you and have a try have nice day.
