Page moves without discussion
editI notice you have moved a number of articles without discussion, it is best to get consensus for page move unless there is an obvious an indisputable error in the title. The moves I have checked so far don't match the content of the article. Perhaps you can shed some light on your thinking? Flat Out let's discuss it 07:13, 22 February 2014 (UTC)
- The moves are to reflect the fact that the teams in question all visited, for example, New Zealand as well as Australia. The articles are about entire tours which encompassed two (or more) countries. It seems that when the articles were created, the editors focused on Australia and overlooked New Zealand. Let me know if I can be of further help. Thanks. HCCC14 (talk) 07:45, 22 February 2014 (UTC)
Daft
editJust chill out. There's no major issue, we can handle all of this, there's no need to pester editor after editor. Your buddy AA is unblocked, all is good. Vandals will persist. We'll win. Cheers. The Rambling Man (talk) 18:33, 1 April 2014 (UTC)
- Also amazing how many socks come out to play whenever you make an edit. I'm all for WP:AGF but that's noted. The Rambling Man (talk) 18:42, 1 April 2014 (UTC)
- I don't think you can handle Daft. See his SPI archive for proof. Why is he still here? Why is he "allowed" to use Johnlp's talk page? I have no confidence whatsoever in the majority of admins on this site. Apart from a few who are actually qualified in the skills of administration and management, the admins here don't know what they are doing and are incompetent. If you can handle Daft then do it and you can start by protecting the Johnlp page so that Daft has no direct communication with his sole sympathiser and cannot use that route to launch his WP:PAs against other members. HCCC14 (talk) 20:17, 1 April 2014 (UTC)
- If Johnlp wants his page protected, he can ask for it, and I'll happily oblige. In the mean time, quite why you seem to feel a need make a crusade on behalf of others who seem to have no interest in your crusade is beyond me. I'd let it go if I were you. Which translates: "I am not going to do anything about Daft". Not that you don't want to, but because the site is hopeless and, probably for politically correct reasons (Wales is, after all, like something out of New Labour), your hands are tied. Plus you won't take actions that go against Wales's idiotic ideas. There's already a retired notice up top. I've had enough and I will boycott this site in future, like countless others. I spend very little time here anyway and so bit less will hardly be noticed. HCCC14 (talk) 20:35, 1 April 2014 (UTC)
- What are you talking about? I have no issue with helping out here, I'm not going to protect a page of a user who hasn't requested it. My hands aren't tied by anything, perhaps you need to re-evaluate what Wikipedia is all about. Wales is just another editor, I have no idea what he has to do with this either. I suggest you enjoy your retirement and pick up another hobby, like cricket scoring. I used to find it incredibly fulfilling, batting charts, bowling roses etc. Marvellous stuff. Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
