Hello GregoryWeir and welcome to Wikipedia! Hope you like it here, and stick around.
Here are some tips to help you get started:
- To sign your posts (on talk pages, for example) use the '~' symbol. To insert just your name, type ~~~ (3 tildes), or, to insert your name and timestamp, use ~~~~ (4 tildes).
- Try the Tutorial, and feel free to experiment in the test area.
- If you need help, post a question at the Help Desk
- Follow the Wikipedia:Simplified Ruleset
- Eventually, you might want to read the Manual of Style and Policies and Guidelines.
- Remember Wikipedia:Neutral point of view
- Explore, be bold in editing pages, and, most importantly, have fun!
Good luck!

Screenshots of The Majesty of Colors
editHello Gregory,
I am an editor from the french speaking Wikipedia (see my page fr:User:Jean-Frédéric over there).
You stated on Talk:Gregory Weir that you agreed to release screenshots from this game under Creative Commons license. Thanks a lot for that ! I would like to transfer them to our media repository Wikimedia Commons, so that they can be used by all Wikipedias. Indeed, I would like to use them for an article in French about The Majesty of Colors, the only of your game I have played to so far (and which I liked very much, by the way :-).
I just wanted to make sure that it was still your wish. If so, they would then need the « formal licensing statement » you suspected to survive on Commons ;-). Would you agree to send an e-mail with this formal statement ? I shall move the files, and get back to you so you can send the e-mail.
I would have another question about these files, to be completely accurate in their description:
- The first and fourth are screenshots from the actual game ?
- The third file is a pre-version screenshot (the view is slightly different)
- Could File:The Majesty of Colors (videogame) screenshot.JPG be transferred as well ?
Cheers,
