Deletion discussion about List of Notable Peertube Channels

Hello, Greatder, and welcome to Wikipedia. I edit here too, under the username Dibbydib, and I thank you for your contributions.

I wanted to let you know, however, that I've started a discussion about whether an article that you created, List of Notable Peertube Channels, should be deleted, as I am not sure that it is suitable for inclusion in Wikipedia in its current form. Your comments are welcome at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/List of Notable Peertube Channels.

You might like to note that such discussions usually run for seven days and are not ballot-polls. And, our guide about effectively contributing to such discussions is worth a read. Last but not least, you are highly encouraged to continue improving the article; just be sure not to remove the tag about the deletion nomination from the top.

If you have any questions, please leave a comment here and prepend it with {{Re|Dibbydib}}. And, don't forget to sign your reply with ~~~~ . Thanks!

If I can't find reliable sources after that please merge them in wikidata as peertube channel before deleting. Thanks! --Greatder (talk) 05:55, 29 June 2021 (UTC)

You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on Tor (network). This means that you are repeatedly changing content back to how you think it should be although other editors disagree. Users are expected to collaborate with others, to avoid editing disruptively, and to try to reach a consensus, rather than repeatedly undoing other users' edits once it is known that there is a disagreement.

Points to note:

  1. Edit warring is disruptive regardless of how many reverts you have made;
  2. Do not edit war even if you believe you are right.

If you find yourself in an editing dispute, use the article's talk page to discuss controversial changes and work towards a version that represents consensus among editors. You can post a request for help at an appropriate noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, it may be appropriate to request temporary page protection. If you engage in an edit war, you may be blocked from editing. Aoidh (talk) 15:41, 21 August 2021 (UTC)

Hello. Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia.

When editing Wikipedia, there is a field labeled "Edit summary" below the main edit box. It looks like this:

Edit summary (Briefly describe your changes)

I noticed your recent edit to Radio Free Asia does not have an edit summary. You can use the edit summary field to explain your reasoning for an edit, or provide a description of what the edit changes. Summaries save time for other editors and reduce the chances your edit will be misunderstood. For some edits a summary may be quite brief.

Please provide an edit summary for every edit you make. With a Wikipedia account you can give yourself a reminder to add an edit summary by setting Preferences → Editing →   Prompt me when entering a blank edit summary. Thanks! Renat 09:03, 14 February 2022 (UTC)

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited List of Internet top-level domains, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Bengali. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, DPL bot (talk) 05:59, 20 February 2022 (UTC)

Copying without attribution

Hi, and thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you tried to give Draft:Akash DTH a different title by copying its content and pasting either the same content, or an edited version of it, into another page with a different name. This is known as a "cut-and-paste move", and it is undesirable because it splits the page history, which is legally required for attribution. Instead, the software used by Wikipedia has a feature that allows pages to be moved to a new title together with their edit history.

In most cases for registered users, once your account is four days old and has ten edits, you should be able to move an article yourself using the "Move" tab at the top of the page (the tab may be hidden in a dropdown menu for you). This both preserves the page history intact and automatically creates a redirect from the old title to the new. If you cannot perform a particular page move yourself this way (e.g. because a page already exists at the target title), please follow the instructions at requested moves to have it moved by someone else. Also, if there are any other pages that you moved by copying and pasting, even if it was a long time ago, please list them at Wikipedia:Requests for history merge. Thank you. --Worldbruce (talk) 15:27, 14 March 2022 (UTC)

@Worldbruce: would you say the draft article is adequately written and has established notability? If yes I would request you to move the page to namespace yourself Thanks!Greatder (talk) 13:03, 16 March 2022 (UTC)
Several of the cited sources (Via Satellite, the Russian Embassy, Broadband TV News, and Forbes) are unreliable, fail to support the content where cited, or are not independent. Others (The Independent, bangla.bdnews24.com, and the paper on ResearchGate) are dead links, not in English when it's hard to believe a similar source doesn't exist in English, or incompletely described. There is also cherry picking from the sources to show the product in a favorable light. On top of all that is the question raised by the reviewer about whether the topic is better covered in a stand alone article or in the article about the parent company BEXIMCO. So I won't move the page to mainspace at present. If you address the problems and resubmit the draft, someone will review it. --Worldbruce (talk) 14:30, 16 March 2022 (UTC)

Recent edit reversion

In this edit here, I reverted some information that appears to be a violation of our copyright policy.

I provided a brief summary of the problem in the edit summary, which should be visible just below my name. You can also click on the "view history" tab in the article to see the recent history of the article. This should be an edit with my name, and a parenthetical comment explaining why your edit was reverted. If that information is not sufficient to explain the situation, please ask.

I do occasionally make mistakes. We get hundreds of reports of potential copyright violations every week, and sometimes there are false positives, for a variety of reasons. (Perhaps the material was moved from another Wikipedia article, or the material was properly licensed but the license information was not obvious, or the material is in the public domain but I didn't realize it was public domain, and there can be other situations generating a report to our Copy Patrol tool that turn out not to be actual copyright violations.) If you think my edit was mistaken, please politely let me know and I will investigate. S Philbrick(Talk) 12:52, 12 September 2022 (UTC)

Cryptomator

Hi, when you copied Draft:Cryptomator to main space, you added an attribution message, thanks for that. But the edit history of the draft will be lost that way (if for example, the draft goes stale and gets deleted), so I've tagged the new article for a history merge. Next time, please just move the draft if you believe the move is justified, thanks. Wikishovel (talk) 13:51, 16 October 2023 (UTC)

The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.

If you wish to participate in the 2023 election, please review the candidates and submit your choices on the voting page. If you no longer wish to receive these messages, you may add {{NoACEMM}} to your user talk page. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 01:01, 28 November 2023 (UTC)

""Project Things"" listed at Redirects for discussion

The redirect "Project Things" has been listed at redirects for discussion to determine whether its use and function meets the redirect guidelines. Anyone, including you, is welcome to comment on this redirect at Wikipedia:Redirects for discussion/Log/2023 December 4 § "Project Things" until a consensus is reached. Utopes (talk / cont) 02:41, 4 December 2023 (UTC)

Please don't move the page while the discussion is ongoing. It causes the original title to lose its tag, and interferes with the discussion closing procedure if the tag no longer exists and on a different page from the one being discussed. Thank you.
