I noticed a page which is already listed as needing spelling improvement. But I also saw some inaccuracies in the page. Should I just note the inaccuracies in the talk page (if I'm not prepared to resolve them myself at this point) or should I be adding tags like "refimprove" so it will show up as needing more improvements than just spelling? If so, where do I find the listing of various templates such as "refimprove" ('cause I know that's not the right one to use for this situation). Thanks :)
- Well you can do either. It's best that you add the tag AND list specifics on the talk page, but the tag is preferred. Below this comment is a bunch of links which all in turn have a bunch of different tags you can use to indicate that there are problems with the article. Legoktm (talk) 16:33, 20 October 2012 (UTC)

editDisambiguation link notification for November 30
editHi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Bluetooth keyboard, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Thumbing (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Romo/community involvement
editIn response to your question about the Tony Romo article, the Dallas Cowboys bio of Romo lists some of his community involvement as:
- 2008 Poker for Pets for SPCA of Texas. <-Society for Prevention
- Make-A-Wish Foundation - Several ONE-ON-ONE visits with children each season.
- Cowboys/United Way Hometown Huddle to play Bingo with senior citizens at The Brady Center.
In the reference, click the "more" in the bio to see the full list. Arbor to SJ (talk) 23:27, 25 December 2013 (UTC)
Help me! - Are the Citation Templates broken?
editThis help request has been answered. If you need more help, you can , contact the responding user(s) directly on their user talk page, or consider visiting the Teahouse. |
Did something get broken with the citation templates? When I'm editing an article (any article) and I try to use "cite web", it's acting goofy. My screen goes kind of grey, and I only see the template pop up if I scroll down a bit. But then none of the typical fields are there to be filled in (URL, Title, Author, Access Date, etc). Other than the "Web Citation" title in the popup window the only other stuff there is the row of buttons at the bottom - Insert, Show/hide extra fields, Preview, Cancel, Reset form. I thought it might be my browser (Firefox on Linux) 'cause I just updated it today, but I tried Safari on Mac and am having the same problem. Just started occurring today. Thanks.

editPlease consider using the article talk page rather than "null edits" in the article history to complain. Regards! VQuakr (talk) 02:12, 25 September 2015 (UTC)
- @VQuakr: No, your attitude that the nomination wasn't a "big deal" pissed me off enough that I didn't want to interact with you. Gmporr (talk)
- Replying to me in an article edit summary is still interacting. Like I said in the revert edit summary, it really isn't a big deal. To explain in more detail, Nobel prize nominations are secret so any claim that an entity has been nominated is heresay until 50 years after the fact (unless they subsequently are awarded the prize, obviously). More commonly, (as in this case), someone creates an open letter or petition for an eligible individual to submit a nomination; this is sometimes misreported as a "nomination." You can read more about it here. This has been discussed at the village pump a few times as well. VQuakr (talk) 03:17, 25 September 2015 (UTC)
