Replaceable non-free use File:YummyPhPabalat.png

edit

Thanks for uploading File:YummyPhPabalat.png. I noticed that this file is being used under a claim of non-free use. However, I think that the way it is being used fails the first non-free content criterion. This criterion states that files used under claims of non-free use may have no free equivalent; in other words, if the file could be adequately covered by a freely-licensed file or by text alone, then it may not be used on Wikipedia. If you believe this file is not replaceable, please:

  1. Go to the file description page and add the text {{Di-replaceable non-free use disputed|<your reason>}} below the original replaceable non-free use template, replacing <your reason> with a short explanation of why the file is not replaceable.
  2. On the file discussion page, write a full explanation of why you believe the file is not replaceable.

Alternatively, you can also choose to replace this non-free media item by finding freely licensed media of the same subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or similar) media under a free license, or by creating new media yourself (for example, by taking your own photograph of the subject).

If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified how these media fully satisfy our non-free content criteria. You can find a list of description pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that even if you follow steps 1 and 2 above, non-free media which could be replaced by freely licensed alternatives will be deleted 2 days after this notification, per the non-free content policy. If you have any questions, please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. — Ирука13 20:40, 5 September 2023 (UTC)Reply

I've added my explanation justifying the use of the non-free image on both the file's description and talk pages. Ganmatthew (talk • contribs) 02:52, 6 September 2023 (UTC)Reply

Tambayan Philippines header icon display issue

edit

Hello. The icons added in {{Wikipedia:Tambayan Philippines/header}} look good. However, in mobile view, these icons cause the corresponding text to overflow beyond their tabs. I checked the header code and see nowrap used. Can you please fix it? Or perhaps we can do away with the icons? Thanks. Sanglahi86 (talk) 23:39, 13 December 2023 (UTC)Reply

Actually the tabs aren't really compatible with mobile or narrow screens as far as I know. It also seems more like a coincidence that the icons add extra width to the tabs, causing them to overflow (more) since on some screens it also used to overflow even without the icons.
I'll try to find a way, but if not, I'll remove the icons. Thanks for letting me know! Ganmatthew (talk • contribs) 04:16, 14 December 2023 (UTC)Reply

Consider replacing this template template with these templates and provide valid rationales so that the file can be displayed in the History of the University of Santo Tomas and University of Santo Tomas pages. Hope it helps. -Ian Lopez @ 16:23, 17 March 2024 (UTC)Reply

Thank you for your contributions. It seems that you may have added public domain content to one or more Wikipedia articles, such as Traffic law in the Philippines. You are welcome to import appropriate public domain content to articles, but in order to meet the Wikipedia guideline on plagiarism, such content must be fully attributed. This requires not only acknowledging the source, but acknowledging that the source is copied. There are several methods to do this described at Wikipedia:Plagiarism#Public-domain sources, including the usage of an attribution template. Please make sure that any public domain content you have already imported is fully attributed. Thank you. — Diannaa (talk) 20:52, 7 April 2024 (UTC)Reply

Oh okay, I'll make the necessary attributions. Thanks! Ganmatthew (talk • contribs) 11:21, 8 April 2024 (UTC)Reply

Cycling in the Philippines

edit

Great work in Cycling in the Philippines! Maybe add it at Wikipedia:WikiProject Guild of Copy Editors/Requests for copyediting to further improve it? It will take at least two months before a volunteer could start doing it though, but it is worth the wait. Sanglahi86 (talk) 16:02, 6 May 2024 (UTC)Reply

Thanks! I actually have submitted it for peer review in the past, but I haven't felt like resubmitting it again since I don't think I can do any major changes to the article for now. Still, no harm having someone to take a look. Ganmatthew (talk • contribs) 16:16, 6 May 2024 (UTC)Reply

Transportation Task Force

edit

Hello! As one of the participants listed, I am inviting you to help in establishing the article guidelines for Transportation Task Force. I hope you can share your thoughts and improve the quality of Philippine transportation articles. Thanks! HiwilmsTalk 14:40, 29 June 2024 (UTC)Reply

I've actually contributed to the guidelines in the past, specifically on expanding RouteBox and RINT template for other transport networks outside of railways. I'd be glad to help when I have the time as I'm currently not that active on Wikipedia right now due to work. Thanks for the invite/notice! Wikipedia:Tambayan Philippines/header display issue

edit

Hello, the Wikipedia:Tambayan Philippines/header currently has a black bottom border even if the tab/page is active, like in the Discussion page. Can you please remove the black bottom border of the tab? Thanks. Sanglahi86 (talk) 12:06, 23 July 2024 (UTC)Reply

I'm not sure if you're using an unofficial dark mode like I do, but this seems to be more of an issue with the {{Tab}} template and extensions like Dark Reader that change light mode to dark mode dynamically. I checked and the header tabs look fine when the extension is disabled or in light mode, and it also looks fine in Wikipedia's in-beta dark mode. Pretty much all pages with {{Tab}} seem to have this problem, including my own user page. This issue was also mentioned here on the {{Tab}} talk page. Ganmatthew (talk • contribs) 16:14, 23 July 2024 (UTC)Reply
Thanks for clarifying. It seems to be an issue with the theme. I am currently using Vector Legacy (2010); in the default Vector 2022, it looks fine. Sanglahi86 (talk) 06:17, 24 July 2024 (UTC)Reply

Speed limits in the Philippines short description

edit

Hello! Recently, you reverted a short description edit I made here.

Looking through Wikipedia's information on short descriptions, it says that "none" is a valid short description if the article title is self-explanatory. That's initially why I made the short description to "none" (and to many other speed limit articles for consistency). I should have put that reasoning in my edit summary, that's my bad. I still think the edit is valid though - if you could respond or self-revert the edit, that would be great. Cheers. LR.127 (talk) 16:48, 27 August 2024 (UTC)Reply

Ah I see. Sorry for reverting it. I wasn't aware until now that there is such a guideline. I'll restore your edit. Ganmatthew (talk • contribs) 03:48, 28 August 2024 (UTC)Reply
All good! :-) Happy editing. LR.127 (talk) 04:05, 28 August 2024 (UTC)Reply
