Welcome to Wikipedia. I noticed that your username, "FrontBurnerBrands", may not meet Wikipedia's username policy because it appears you are editing on behalf of the parent organization of The Melting Pot.. If you believe that your username does not violate our policy, please leave a note here explaining why. As an alternative, you may ask for a change of username, or you may simply create a new account for editing. Thank you. See also WP:COI regarding a conflict of interest. 72Dino (talk) 21:45, 7 September 2012 (UTC)Reply

Dino, we own the name Front Burner Brands. I work at the company as a communications coordinator. We are trying to make our pages on Wikipedia more factual. You can contact me at <removed personally identifiable info> Our trademark ownership can be found here: http://trademarks.justia.com/850/87/front-burner-brands-85087177.html Please let us know what I can do to make appropriate edits to The Melting Pot page. I can provide trademark ownership information to that name as well, if you need it.

Thanks, Wendy Stewart Communications Coordinator Front Burner Brands <removed personally identifiable info>

Thank you for your response. There are a few issues here, first and foremost the Wikipedia:Conflict of interest guideline. Generally those involved with the subject, such as yourself, should recommend changes to the article on the talk page rather than making changes to the article itself. Second, your user name is problematic per WP:CORPNAME because accounts are supposed to be for individuals, not those editing on behalf of organizations. Third, Wikipedia is an encyclopedia, not a mirror of a company's web site. You should not copy and paste verbatim text from another source. You can donate the copyrighted material, but it would not be acceptable in its current form anyway because of WP:NOTPROMO. There is just too much promotional material there. Great for a company web site, but not for a neutral encyclopedia. I hope this explains why I reverted those edits and some steps you need to take as you begin editing on Wikipedia. Good luck, 72Dino (talk) 14:50, 8 September 2012 (UTC)Reply

Welcome to Wikipedia. Because we have a policy against usernames that give the impression that the account represents a group, organization or website, I have blocked this account; please take a moment to create a new account with a username that represents only yourself as an individual and which complies with our username policy.  You should also read our conflict of interest guideline and be aware that promotional editing is not acceptable regardless of the username you choose.

If your username doesn't represent a group, organization or website, you may appeal this username block by adding the text {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}} below this notice. If you prefer to be unblocked for the purpose of changing your username to a username which complies with our [[username policy, so that your contributions with this username are recorded as contributions of your new username and rather than creating a new account, you may appeal this username block by adding the text {{unblock-un|new username|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}} below this notice instead. Thank you.
