Speedy deletion nomination of User:FreelancerSA

edit

A tag has been placed on your user page, User:FreelancerSA, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be advertising that only promotes or publicizes someone or something. Promotional editing of any kind is not permitted, whether it be the promotion of a person, company, product, group, service, belief, or anything else. This is a violation of our policies regarding the acceptable use of user pages — user pages are intended for active editors of Wikipedia to communicate with one another as part of the process of creating encyclopedic content, and should not be mistaken for free webhosting resources or advertising space. Please read the guidelines on spam, the guidelines on user pages, and, especially, our FAQ for Organizations.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. — rsjaffe 🗣️ 02:20, 23 April 2024 (UTC)Reply

Your account has been indefinitely blocked from editing because your account has been used for advertising or promotion, which is contrary to the purpose of Wikipedia. Also, your username gives the impression that the account represents a business, organisation, group, or web site, which is against the username policy.

If you intend to make useful contributions instead of promoting your business or organization, you may request unblock and a username change. In your reasons, you must:

  • Disclose any compensation you may receive for your contributions in accordance with the paid-contribution disclosure requirement; and
  • Convince us that you understand the reason for your block and that you will not repeat the kind of edits for which you were blocked; and
  • Describe in general terms the contributions that you intend to make if you are unblocked; and
  • Provide a new username.

To do this, post the text {{unblock-spamun|Your proposed new username|Your reason here}} at the bottom of your talk page. Replace the text "Your proposed new username" with your new username and replace the text "Your reason here" with your reasons to be unblocked.

Please note that the new username you choose cannot already be taken and in use by another account. You can go here to search and see if the username you'd like to choose is available. If the search returns that no global account with that username exists, that means it is available to be taken.

Appeals: If, after reviewing the guide to appealing blocks, you believe this block was made in error, you may appeal it by adding the text {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}} at the bottom of your talk page. Replace the text "Your reason here" with the reasons you believe the block was an error, and publish the page. Red Phoenix talk 03:14, 23 April 2024 (UTC)Reply
I completely understand, I have no idea what I'm doing, I'm completely new, so I'll be getting someone to assist me, as this was not my intention to advertise. FreelancerSA (talk) 03:16, 23 April 2024 (UTC)Reply
PS. I'll watch more tutorials, as I want to educate, and nothing other than that. FreelancerSA (talk) 03:17, 23 April 2024 (UTC)Reply
So here’s the deal: Wikipedia is not interested in your company at all. We write encyclopedia articles about notable subjects that are covered in reliable sources, and we do not publish original research. I would also recommend that you read what Wikipedia is not. For you to be unblocked, you would need to meet the following conditions:
  • Choose a new username that does not identify you as a group or organization, see WP:USERNAME for the policy and what to avoid.
  • Follow the directions in the box above to request an unblock. In it, your request must detail:
    • Your new username
    • An understanding of our conflict of interest and paid editing policies
    • What subjects you intend to write about, with the understanding you will not be allowed to write about or link to your company or website in any way. Such would be a violation of the conflict of interest policy.
  • If you are intent on talking about your website or business, then this is the end of the road. That’s simply not what Wikipedia does.
