Message from Flitt
editHey there! I just wanted to thank you for fixing the vandalism to the Daniel O'Donnell (Irish singer) page. I'm not a fan - I've never even actually heard his music, but I ran across the page accidentally a while back and tried to fix the vandalism then and just saw that it had popped up all over again. Poor guy. There were so many things slipped in throughout the entry, and some of them had been around for so long. I am so not knowledgeable about editing Wiki, I have to hunt through the FAQ's every time I want to. So thank you again for taking care of this - it was giving me such a headache, trying to figure out how to fix it, but I'd have felt bad just leaving it like it was.Flitt 03:33, 8 November 2007 (UTC)

Changes to Rudolf, Mayerling and Baroness Vetsera
edit== The changes that this writer made to the above Articles are based on Family history as told to me by my Father Karel Siroky, my Paternal Gradmother Sofie Siroky nee Vetsera and by my Mothernal Grandfather. Apparently Baron Vetsera, father of Baroness Vetsera was verbally briefed on details of Mayerling Tragedy and he passed this information to his daughter Baroness Sofie Vetsera, who in turn conveyed the details to my father Karel Siroky and to myself. My father Karel Siroky repeated the story to me about fifty times between the age of seven and age of 27 when I left Czechoslovakia. During communism in Czechoslovakia or even before that since 1918 to be a Descendant of Royal Family of Austria Hungary was a Capital Offence. We discussed everything again during my father's visit to Canada in 1975. Karol Siroky (talk) 04:05, 19 November 2007 (UTC)Karol Michal SirokyKarol Siroky (talk) 04:05, 19 November 2007 (UTC) ==

editI hate edit conflicts. Many has been the time that I typed in something really great, only to have it erased because someone else was posting at the exact same moment that I was. The worst is if you're trying to create an article, and all your additions are conflicted away because someone else was adding brackets and such. Anyway, I can appreciate the frustration. I would particularly like to thank Acalamari and Alison, my nominators, and everyone who watched the page and ran the tally.
If there is anything I can do to be of service in the future, please feel free to contact me. (Oh, and if you hate RfA Thankspam, please forgive me. I promise I won't block you for deleting it ;-))
And forgive me if I need a Wikibreak now and then (like now. I'm exhausted!). You wouldn’t want to see me climbing the Reichstag, now would you?
Off to flail around with my new mop! (what?!)
This RfA thanks inspired by Neranei's, which was inspired by VanTucky's which was in turn inspired by LaraLove's which was inspired by The Random Editor's, which was inspired by Phaedriel's original thanks.

Oregan Hoskins article
editHey,
thanks for the help with the Oregan Hoskins article, and referencing and such. Used your example of referenceing of the Reuters article to try to improve the article.
I have one (strange) question for you that I can't find an answer to anywhere on wikipedia; on the "My Watchlist" page Oregan Hoskins is listed as follows:
(diff) (hist) . . m Oregan Hoskins; 22:13 . . (+209) . . Flowerpotman (Talk | contribs) (a couple more refs formatted)
What does the 'm' mean and what does the '+209'
thanks a bunch

Natural History Museum Edits
editHi, Thanks for the guidlines. I'm new to Wikipedia. The information I provided, with text from my site, is all in my copyright - the site it comes from is my site. My link to it, which I removed following your advice, gives more information. The exhibition was an non profit show curated by the National Museum of Ireland for the 150th anniversary of the Museum. Nothing was or is for sale, it is all the propoerty of the National Museum. They have no site for it. It really is the only visual record of the museum on the web with interesting contributions from noted academics in the field of museology, etc. No advertising element intended. Apologies —Preceding unsigned comment added by Dignified (talk • contribs) 13:00, 14 January 2008 (UTC)

Belated thanks -
editYou got me back into my account and then I wandered off again without logging in much less thanking you. At some point I really will add the link to the WFC convention. Easy enough, since it's http://www.seahunt.org/wfc/ but as I said I'd wandered off -- there are just too many of this sort of articles that need correction and/or update and I kind of gave up. Oh, and there's the Future Washington citation.
Bother: is there an easy way to add something to -- I don't believe how much I've forgotten the basics but I'm adding this on the fly while checking something else -- http://en.wiki.x.io/wiki/WSFA so that there's also a redirect to the Washington Science Fiction Association?
Oh! Very, very cool! I was looking up something SF related and discovered that there's an article on Ted White. I'll have to pass that along to him next time I see him.

Cowschwitz article
editHi Flowerpotman, I planned on making the 'Cowschwitz' a sub-article of the Harris Ranch Companies, but they didn't exist on wikipedia, so I just created an article about Cowschwitz (some people at work were talking about it, and I had no idea what it meant until I did some research). I am planning on either making a stub article of harris, and then crossrefrenceing the name 'Cowschwitz' to the Harris Ranch article (when it is finally created). So that an inquire would lead the user there. Like something like: 1.xx Cattle Ranches, one of the largest cattle ranches in California is located in Coalinga nicknamed "Cowschwitz" by native Californians. College Watch (talk) 22:19, 18 January 2008 (UTC)
- Tell you what. Ill get back to you in a few minutes. (Got to do something in the real world. :O)) FlowerpotmaN·(t) 22:47, 18 January 2008 (UTC)
Cowschwitz
editLets give it some more time before the db-author template. I just created the article (during work which I couldn't give it enough thought, time and energy). In addition the term hasn't yet been included in the google database linking to the article. Also it is one of the largest densest cattle slaughterhouses in the U.S. where hundreds of thousands of people speed past it on Highway five everyday. Also it stretches past over miles and can't be missed (or smelled) miles away from the location
Perhaps the ideal solution is too create both articles and maybe a disambiguation page for the term 'Cowschwitz' where, it could point to the Coalinga location, or any other site that warrants the name. College Watch (talk) 00:01, 19 January 2008 (UTC)
