Welcome
Feel free to edit this page, I'll aim to answer every message, but if I don't it doesn't mean I hate you. Feel free to edit this page below the TOC, but please don't edit the stuff above. Also, please don't edit my archives, as they're meant to be an accurate record of dead conversations for when (and if) this page gets messy/full. Oh, and finally if you like any of the code i've got on here and you use it, just drop a quick note into the talk section - it's nice to know it's being used and I'm curious where it'll end up.

Stealing your thing
hi stealing your amazing table thing lol :) :)
Notification: changes to "Mark my edits as minor by default" preference
Hello there. This is an automated message to tell you about the gradual phasing out of the preference entitled "Mark all edits minor by default", which you currently have (or very recently had) enabled.
On 13 March 2011, this preference was hidden from the user preferences screen as part of efforts to prevent its accidental misuse (consensus discussion). This had the effect of locking users in to their existing preference, which, in your case, was true
. To complete the process, your preference will automatically be changed to false
in the next few days. This does not require any intervention on your part and you will still be able to manually mark your edits as being 'minor'. The only thing that's changed is that you will no longer have them marked as minor by default.
For established users such as yourself there is a workaround available involving custom JavaScript. If you are familiar with the contents of WP:MINOR, and believe that it is still beneficial to the encyclopedia to have all your edits marked as such by default, then this discussion will give you the details you need to continue with this functionality indefinitely. If you have any problems, feel free to drop me a note.
Thank you for your understanding and happy editing :) Editing on behalf of User:Jarry1250, LivingBot (talk) 16:55, 15 March 2011 (UTC)
License tagging for File:Kepler-452b System Diagram.jpg
Thanks for uploading File:Kepler-452b System Diagram.jpg. You don't seem to have indicated the license status of the image. Wikipedia uses a set of image copyright tags to indicate this information.
To add a tag to the image, select the appropriate tag from this list, click on this link, then click "Edit this page" and add the tag to the image's description. If there doesn't seem to be a suitable tag, the image is probably not appropriate for use on Wikipedia. For help in choosing the correct tag, or for any other questions, leave a message on Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. Thank you for your cooperation. --ImageTaggingBot (talk) 18:05, 23 July 2015 (UTC)
JavaScript RegExp problem
I noticed you have experience in JavaScript. I'm hoping you can help me with a problem I've run into writing a userscript.
Please see my post at Wikipedia talk:WikiProject JavaScript#Nested RegExp.

However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

- Thanks for the notice. It was in the company infobox in the article article https://en.wiki.x.io/wiki/Draft:Tilt_Five, but was removed by bot as WP:NFCC violation(s). As I read Wikipedia:Logos, this is a permissible use case so I'm not sure why it was removed. Perhaps this is a catch 22 while the article is in review? (COI concern as I've done work for the company in question). FalconZero (talk) 15:09, 27 March 2024 (UTC)
