Proposed deletion of 4D Rulers

edit

Hello, Evilemperorzorg. I wanted to let you know that I’m proposing an article that you started, 4D Rulers, for deletion because I don't think it meets our criteria for inclusion. If you don't want the article deleted:

  1. edit the page
  2. remove the text that looks like this: {{proposed deletion/dated...}}
  3. save the page

Also, be sure to explain why you think the article should be kept in your edit summary or on the article's talk page. If you don't do so, it may be deleted later anyway.

You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions. Thanks, Longbyte1 (talk) 16:22, 30 September 2012 (UTC)Reply

Image tagging for File:Thessaloniki landmarks.png

edit

Thanks for uploading File:Thessaloniki landmarks.png. You don't seem to have said where the image came from or who created it. We require this information to verify that the image is legally usable on Wikipedia, and because most image licenses require giving credit to the image's creator.

To add this information, click on this link, then click the "Edit" tab at the top of the page and add the information to the image's description. If you need help, post your question on Wikipedia:Media copyright questions.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

Better source request for File:Thessaloniki landmarks.png

edit

Thanks for your upload to Wikipedia:

You provided a source, but it is difficult for other users to examine the copyright status of the image because the source is incomplete. Please consider clarifying the exact source so that the copyright status may be checked more easily. It is best to specify the exact Web page where you found the image, rather than only giving the source domain or the URL of the image file itself. Please update the image description with a URL that will be more helpful to other users in determining the copyright status.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source in a complete manner. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page or me at my talk page. Thank you. Message delivered by Theo's Little Bot (opt-out) 21:00, 19 June 2013 (UTC)Reply

Εικόνα Θεσσαλονίκης

edit

There has already been a (quite lengthy) discussion on the Thessaloniki talk page about what image to put in the infobox. The image you want to put on it is, in fact, my own image. First of all, it should probably be deleted because it probably violates people's copyrights. Secondly, the discussion I talked about concluded in that we should use just a single image for Thessaloniki and we chose the white tower. I think it is actually quite a nice view of the tower anyway. Regards, --Philly boy92 (talk) 22:46, 3 July 2013 (UTC)Reply

Phillip II at Vergina's tomb

edit

In reference to Vergina#Archaeological_finds. I don't know if Androniko's claim is now supported by most archaeologists, or if the new discoveries support his claim. Reading that section, it sounds like it's still undecided.

However, I am not knowledgeable about this topic, and I am not familiar with this topic. If you think it's fine this way, then it's also fine with me. --Enric Naval (talk) 19:55, 15 January 2014 (UTC)Reply

No problem :) Most claims come from our neighborhood country just to decrease the importance of ancient Macedonian sites in Greece. Of course there are people who want to examine it more but just to let you know! Those just question if it belongs to Philip III son of Philip II or Philip II himself. But most have agreed because of the skeleton injuries which are recorded by ancient historians that it belongs to Philip II.

Just for your information this has also been claimed...

"Instead, according to Borza, Tomb I, also known as the Tomb of Persephone may have contained the remains of Phillip II and his family. If this theory is true, then the golden weaponry and royal objects found in Tomb II may have belonged to Alexander the Great."

Thanks for your submission to Wikipedia, and happy editing. —rybec 21:21, 2 February 2014 (UTC)Reply

A tag has been placed on File:Aerial view of the archaeological site of Nekromanteion.jpg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section F9 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the image appears to be a blatant copyright infringement. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted images or text borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines.  Ronhjones  (Talk) 22:47, 9 April 2014 (UTC)Reply
