Your draft article, User:Eric Musgrave/sandbox

edit

Hello, Eric Musgrave. It has been over six months since you last edited your WP:AFC draft article submission, entitled "sandbox".

The page will shortly be deleted. If you plan on editing the page to address the issues raised when it was declined and resubmit it, simply edit the submission and remove the {{db-afc}} or {{db-g13}} code. Please note that Articles for Creation is not for indefinite hosting of material deemed unsuitable for the encyclopedia mainspace.

If your submission has already been deleted by the time you get there, and you want to retrieve it, you can request its undeletion by one of two methods (don't do both): 1) follow the instructions at WP:REFUND/G13, or 2) copy this code: {{subst:Refund/G13|User:Eric Musgrave/sandbox}}, paste it in the edit box at this link, and click "Save page". An administrator will in most cases undelete the submission.

Thanks for your submission to Wikipedia, and happy editing. JMHamo (talk) 21:13, 19 May 2015 (UTC)Reply

Please help me sort the error messages out!

edit

At the bottom of my draft page I have several messages reading: Cite error: A list-defined reference named 'ref11' is not used in the content (see the help page). https://en.wiki.x.io/wiki/Draft:Don_McCarthy Eric Musgrave (talk) 18:36, 23 September 2015 (UTC)Reply

If you look at the code for the references section, you will see that you have 11 lines of code saying <ref name=refX> followed by references material, ending in </ref>. These are the "named" references. If you wanted to place them in the body of the text, you would simply have to "call" them, such as This is a statement.<ref name=ref11 /> (note the / before the >) You have not used any of these named references, and thus Wikipedia is throwing an error. I notice that the majority of the references you have used in the text are actually duplicates of the named references, so you can either delete the named references or replace the inline references with the named ref tags. More information about references (and re-using them) can be found at WP:REFB. If you want more help, stop by the Teahouse, Wikipedia's live help channel, or the help desk to ask someone for assistance. Primefac (talk) 18:58, 23 September 2015 (UTC)Reply
