Lord Uxbridge's leg caption

Hi, I saw that you reverted my edit to the caption for the lead image of Lord Uxbridge's leg. That's fine, but could you please discuss the issue on the talk page? Four days before changing the caption, I argued for the change and pinged you on the talk page. I took your lack of response as a lack of objection to my argument, so I changed the caption, leaving a note in the edit summary to please discuss the issue if you revert. You reverted in an hour, but still haven't discussed the issue. Could you please respond to my argument and give your rationale for reverting me, ideally offering something beyond your opinion that the caption is "completely stupid"? Other editors are discussing it at talk, so you don't need to come over here, keep it over there. Montanabw(talk) 07:23, 24 February 2016 (UTC)
Look at the timestamps - no one was discussing it there when I posted this here. In fact, this user had just reverted the edit I made after he did not discuss for four days after being pinged. I felt this was the appropriate venue to attract attention, and indeed it was: a lively discussion started over there very shortly after I posted this. A2soup (talk) 07:27, 24 February 2016 (UTC)
