Lance and shoes
The platform shoes on the wall. I agree it's over the edge without a citation, thought I'd be able to Google commentary on that but couldn't find any, there are some blog comments about it but nothing else. Gwen Gale (talk) 21:03, 29 January 2008 (UTC)
3RR
Please refrain from undoing other people's edits repeatedly, as you are doing at That 90's Show. If you continue, you may be blocked from editing Wikipedia. Note that the three-revert rule prohibits making more than three reversions in a content dispute within a 24 hour period. Additionally, users who perform a large number of reversions in content disputes may be blocked for edit warring, even if they do not technically violate the three-revert rule. Rather than reverting, discuss disputed changes on the talk page. The revision you want is not going to be implemented by edit warring. Thank you. -- Scorpion0422 04:19, 30 January 2008 (UTC)
- You're lucky, the only reason you haven't been blocked for a 3RR violation is because I forgot to warn you earlier. If you revert a user 4 times, it's a 3RR violation, which usually is a blockable offense. -- Scorpion0422 04:21, 30 January 2008 (UTC)
- 3RR applies to everyone, this looks like a content dispute, not vandalism. —Random832 04:23, 30 January 2008 (UTC)
- It is, the addition of OR isn't vandalism, and you should avoid calling it such because it usually makes editors angrier. -- Scorpion0422 04:24, 30 January 2008 (UTC)

Military history WikiProject coordinator election
The Military history WikiProject coordinator selection process is starting. We are aiming to elect nine coordinators to serve for the next six months; if you are interested in running, please sign up here by February 14! TomStar81 (Talk) 02:47, 1 February 2008 (UTC)
Thankyou for your GA review, I think you have done a great job and thanks to your input the article has improved greatly. I'm sorry that there was all that misunderstanding earlier, I never meant to imply you were stupid and I'm sorry if it sounded like that. You are a concientious editor and you've done a good job. Thankyou and all the best.--Jackyd101 (talk) 16:45, 1 February 2008 (UTC)
Fair use rationale for Image:Verbir.jpg
Thanks for uploading or contributing to Image:Verbir.jpg. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia constitutes fair use. Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.
If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. NOTE: once you correct this, please remove the tag from the image's page. Czech Republic Wikiproject
Diki mocs, but to be honest, I really don't know much. I'm a Czechophile, but that's it. I spent a year there, and I wrote my MA thesis on the Prague Spring. The few things I know anything about I'm already. If I move back, I'll consider joining. =) - TheMightyQuill (talk) 04:13, 2 February 2008 (UTC)
- Re: Prague Spring. Congratulations to you! You put a lot of work into the references, which is what makes it a good article. I think it shouldn't be that much more effort to make it FA. I helped get the Hungary '56 article FA, but a lot of people really got involved because the anniversary was coming up... Maybe we'll get the same groundswell as the 40th anniversary of the prague spring comes up. - TheMightyQuill (talk) 02:28, 6 February 2008 (UTC)
Animla Planet
Why are you reverting the Animal Planet Canada article, the issues have been met, the tag calls for references and references have been added, no one has given any reason whatsoever how this article is confusing, imo anyone with a grade 5 education would be able to understand this article, and cleanup was made. The issues pertaining to the tags I removed have all been adressed, so the tags can be removed. 99.236.63.51 (talk) 23:01, 3 February 2008 (UTC)
Our friend
No bother, I'm happy to help. Feel free to ping me anytime. We'll just keep reverting and blocking as necessary. At this point, I don't see any benefit to further attempts at dialogue - per WP:DENY. I'm going to put a note on the Czechs talk page to document this a bit. You can reference that note if I'm not around and you need to raise this issue on WP:AN/I.--Kubigula (talk) 04:19, 4 February 2008 (UTC)
- Don't waste your time talking to him. I've asked User:Nakon to look at doing another range block.--Kubigula (talk) 04:56, 11 February 2008 (UTC)
- The other IP was probably a coffee shop or somewhere he was at earlier. He seems to be back at 71.99, so the range block should take care of it for at least a little while.--Kubigula (talk) 05:06, 11 February 2008 (UTC)
Karel Kryl
Karel Kryl in fact received the Medal of Merit (Medaile za zásluhy) class II in 1995. I could have corrected it, but considering that many recipients of the Order of the White Lion or Order of T. G. Masaryk don't have the fact mentioned in their articles, I didn't bother adding this lesser award. - Mike Rosoft (talk) 17:44, 5 February 2008 (UTC)
Resevoir Dogs
Thank goodness someone was interested, this article was kicking my ass. I think the Cast listing and Influences page should outright go. And for the life of me, I can't figure out how to indicate 'citation needed'. P.S. For more weird, check out the R.D. video game article. Please drop me a line about any changes you make, this movie is too cool for a crappy article. Lots42 (talk) 02:02, 6 February 2008 (UTC)
- I saw your note; it's all good. I don't mind reverts. I'll take another look at things later; I've got other chaos on the plate. Lots42 (talk) 02:08, 6 February 2008 (UTC)
Thanks!

That 90's show
I completely understand your reasoning, and I'm not going to start an edit war over it, (I did not even notice the music in the show anyway, so I really don't even care). I guess I just assumed that since other articles had started subsections for music, then it was considered an acceptable CR. I have also recently become annoyed with all the WP:stuff out there, but thats my problem. And the sentence did sound better with the "of" I added, but anyway, the past is the past. I see you got your GA with Prague Spring. Good work. Marskell (talk) 10:13, 7 February 2008 (UTC)
Reservoir Dogs - ear-cutting scene
What do you mean by commenting your revert with "POV plagiarism accusation"? It's a generally known fact that the ear-cutting scene was inspired by a similar scene in Django. So what's your problem with that? I didn't write that Tarantino "stole" the scene, I wrote that it's a reference. Dutzi (talk) 17:04, 7 February 2008 (UTC)
- How about these sources for example?
- http://www.plume-noire.com/movies/cult/django.html
- And what do you mean with "...trivia that we've been trying to reduce"? In my opinion the scene is an obvious reference or tribute to another famous movie that should be mentioned. The article also mentions other influences as for instance the Kubrick films and Hong Kong cinema. Are there any sources for that? Isn't that also trivial then? So why not mention Django? Tarantino is a huge fan of the spaghetti western genre. Dutzi (talk) 10:53, 8 February 2008 (UTC)
ICDDS - Companies project
Good day,
Why has this entry been placed within the scope of the companies project? Is it a not-for-profit learned institution with Registered Charity status.
It clearly does not fall within the project scope stated within the project pages as "Notable for-profit companies, businesses & corporations, no matter where based, whether public or private, existing or merged/liquidated."
Thank you.Stepheneh (talk) 17:33, 7 February 2008 (UTC)

Good day,
Can you please expand on this tag?
This has no real meaning as a statement without explanation. The content of the entry is very bland so I do not understand your tag. Perhaps you would be kind enough to explain

Done. Both IPs are from Reston, Virginia, according to WHOIS information. Thanks for the notice. -- Darwinek (talk) 21:42, 10 February 2008 (UTC)

block?
- block is here to protect Wikipedia! Not somone idiotic ideas. You need to understand that concept first! Block is not a punishment and it should never be! How long its going to take you to understand that block is not solving anything! Stop trying to do impossible. Learn more about Internet. Good luck with that. 71.99.95.29 (talk) 04:19, 11 February 2008 (UTC)
areyou really that dumb? you still dont understand dont you? there is no way to block me. You have to find another way how to solve your problems. instead of harrasing admins. stop being naive and trying to get me block.i am not being cocky about it. that is just pure fact and you need to accept it one way or another. 71.99.95.29 (talk) 04:30, 11 February 2008 (UTC)
It was a kneejerk, I didn't see any warnings at all, and - on the face of it - the reservoir dogs edit looked like a good faith edit. The stalking, reverting, and harassment I didn't see until later. As a result of those shenanigans, I've blocked the IP for 77 hours and change. I concur that a rangeblock would be in order. Are there any pages you see that need protection? UltraExactZZ Claims ~ Evidence 05:00, 11 February 2008 (UTC)
- Short of reverting bad-faith (removing comments) vandalism on talk pages, I agree that there's not much to be done. I'll keep an eye on Joe Pesci, and semi-protect if the need arises. Please let me know if I can help out in any other way, or if you spot another IP to deal with. UltraExactZZ Claims ~ Evidence 05:21, 11 February 2008 (UTC)

Thank you for the barnstar! I'm sorry this guy has turned into such a personal nuisance to you. It's motivating me to learn how to properly range block to better deal with this.--Kubigula (talk) 06:11, 11 February 2008 (UTC)

Reservoir Dogs
Hi Dominik, I'm sorry that I've been slow responding to your request about Reservoir Dogs. I think one of the best places to get some information will be newspaper clippings from when the film came out. If you send me an e-mail I can e-mail you some stories from news archives. (Because of the year the film came out not much will be available online, which could be why you feel a bit stuck on sources :) --JayHenry (talk) 06:53, 14 February 2008 (UTC)
Ringo and Yolanda
The likelihood of at least one person out of 20 or 30 diners congregated in a coffee shop being armed is kinda high, which is why they don't get robbed much. However, given your swift reaction to my edit, I do agree it would be more helpful to back this up with a source saying the same thing. Cheers. Gwen Gale (talk) 04:14, 15 February 2008 (UTC)

Latest visit
Sorry I missed the latest visit from our friend - at least it was just a brief appearance.--Kubigula (talk) 19:02, 17 February 2008 (UTC)
- I don't think his conduct is the kind of thing the ISP would take action on - it's too subtle. He vandalizes a variety of articles and has a dynamic IP. That means regular protection and blocking is of limited effect. So, I think ignoring him and range blocks are the best solution.--Kubigula (talk) 21:23, 17 February 2008 (UTC)
- If there's no admin around who is familiar with the situation, then the best bet is to take it to AN/I. I suggest referencing the abuse report and perhaps my note on the Czechs page. However, I would only take it there if our friend has been recently active (within the last half hour or so), and has made at least 5-10 edits.--Kubigula (talk) 04:31, 18 February 2008 (UTC)

Laterna Magika
Greetings, Dominik! I've just made some technical improvements to the Laterna Magika page, which you're welcome to view in its edit history. However, I'm at a loss when it comes to content. Might you and/or other members of the Czech Project pitch in on this? (I have no competence whatsoever in Czech.) -- Thanks, Deborahjay (talk) 15:31, 23 February 2008 (UTC)

Fucking and typos
Thanks for the heads-up, I fixed the typo and nicked a few additional thoughts I agree with from your userpage. Feel free to alert me when/if you decide to AfD and optionally you (or I) can go through the previous AfDs and notify all those who voted for deleting it (being evil is great!). Just make sure you emphasise that you're not deleting because you're frightened of the word itself but for valid and legitimate reasons, and post a big scary template saying AfD isn't a vote but a debate and invalid edits will be ignored to scare off the forum-crowds. Good luck! +Hexagon1 (t) 07:21, 26 February 2008 (UTC)
- Saying Americans are short-sighted globally seems strangely obvious to someone used to them. (I had a really cool metaphor there but I didn't want to get accused of personal attacks :( ) Don't get me wrong, there's some great yanks but the whole culture seems very 1950s for us in the World (then again Australians are proudly leading the world in their version of 1980s... :) ). As for the article I agree completely with something like Profanity in film - makes perfect sense though I would have thought there is an equivalent already. Sorry about the late reply, busy busy. +Hexagon1 (t) 12:01, 28 February 2008 (UTC)
- There's a lot wrong with America, but try telling that to most Americans. As for the question about me, it is a difficult question, even though I have strong connections with both Aus and CR I can't in all honesty label myself one or the other. So I guess I'm more global than most people. (You'll notice the exact phrasing on my user page is neutral on who I am, but merely notes where I'm based.) +Hexagon1 (t) 16:12, 28 February 2008 (UTC)
- Born in good ol' Prague, mater urbium. And Canada is basically just an unofficial English-speaking colony of ours, just like the Austrians are just German-speaking Czechs. :) Mediawiki takes a "uselang" argument in the URL, so if you stick "&uselang=de" after any 'index.php' URL ('index.php' URLs can be seen while you're editing for example) the software will switch to German (example). Good luck with the article! +Hexagon1 (t) 03:14, 29 February 2008 (UTC)
- Yes, we were screwed over repeatedly and now no-one even knows who we are. :( I concur that the dissolution of Czechoslovakia was a bad move, but it feels like the Czechs are the only Slavic people that aren't blindly nationalistic (pořád samá sloboda narodu, sloboda narodu ) I am not intimately familiar with Czech history but I dare-say I have a firmer grasp of it than most, though at the moment I'm extremely busy (I shouldn't even be here - damn procrastination). About the software, there's probably some documentation at meta, although I just observed the 'uselang' argument being used at the Commons and it stuck in my memory. +Hexagon1 (t) 06:14, 29 February 2008 (UTC)
Haven't we discussed this before? Just because a CR is obvious to you, doesn't mean it is to everyone. I've never even heard of that movie Ctjf83Talk 23:55, 2 March 2008 (UTC)
- You're just speculating that it would be obvious to most people. You don't know that for sure. I'll agree to either deleting the reference or putting the {{fact}} tag. Ctjf83Talk 23:59, 2 March 2008 (UTC)

No, I love gay jokes! As long as they aren't blatantly insulting and bashing, then I'm fine with it. LMFAO, that was a great line! I do love how they legalize marriage, and Homer is no longer homophobic after Homer's Phobia...although it took a gay guy saving his life to change his attitude and you may have missed Three Gays of the Condo since you only mentioned There's Something About Marrying in your review Oh, btw, my brother just showed me http://www.watchtvsitcoms.com/, you can watch all the Simpsons episodes, and more! I don't think they overly stereotype Smither's either...like I said, I think they do it it all in good humor. I am slightly offended by Flanders doing the "walk to cure homosexuality" and in The Father, The Son & The Holy Guest Star when Flanders tells the priest they can focus on their common enemies "stem cells and monogamous gays" but i guess that is how you would expect flander's character to respond, so perhaps they were making fun of christian conservatives...who knows. Ctjf83Talk 04:39, 3 March 2008 (UTC)

- Bad Boys 2, Payback, Lord of the Rings trilogy, Spiderman Trilogy, Another Gay Movie, Eating Out, which has HOTTIE Ryan Carnes, Pirates of the Caribbean trilogy, and of course, as you know, The Simpsons Movie!! Ctjf83Talk 06:15, 3 March 2008 (UTC)
- I'm not a huge Will Smith fan, but if you love action, you really gotta check out Bad Boys 2!! Umm...depends how opened minded you are I guess. I'd say don't watch Another Gay Movie, you probably wouldn't like it. Eating Out might be ok, if you like the ladies staring in it. I forgot to mention it earlier but Cowboys and Angels is definitely the most tasteful for a straight audience. It's not so much of a gay movie, as it is a movie where a gay and strt roomates befriend eachother...it is set in Limerick Ireland. The Birdcage is the classic gay movie...it was ok, I don't own it though Ctjf83Talk 06:28, 3 March 2008 (UTC)

- "You know me Marge, I like my beer cold, my TV loud, and my homosexuals, fa-laming!" LOL, Love it!!! Ctjf83Talk 05:56, 3 March 2008 (UTC)
- Bed?! I'm an hour ahead of you, and am going to go grocery shopping soon! lol, how old are you, just curious, not making fun of you for going to bed now. I liked T2 and haven't seen T3 yet...I despise Arnold as a politician and a person now though Ctjf83Talk 06:43, 3 March 2008 (UTC)
- early 20s? lame answer, not specific enough! lol...yes, actors shouldn't be politicans...i'm pissed at him for his vetoing gay marriage, and civil unions. I'm obviously going to vote for who ever the Democratic nominee is...I'm kinda hopping more to Obama now. He just has this "bringing change" attitude that is winning over all the young kids, I kinda like it, sounds new and fresh! Ctjf83Talk 06:54, 3 March 2008 (UTC)
- Why? what reason does anyone have not bible related...which is a violation of the separation of church and state. these are the same assholes that were against interracial marriage, it is just as stupid. Also a gay marriage affects noone else's marriage, so these jerk off conservatives with their sanctity of marriage bull shit. apparently to them it's more sacred for Britney dumb ass Spears to be married like 50 hours, then for 2 gay people that have been together for 30 years...it's extreme ignorance and hatred and it disgusts me. We are 3rd class citizens, and who knows if that will ever change. oh maybe arnold didn't veto civil unions..i still hate him though! Ctjf83Talk 07:05, 3 March 2008 (UTC)
- Hmmm....interesting...lol, what to chat about now, you didn't close your post with a question! Ctjf83Talk 19:46, 3 March 2008 (UTC)
- LOL, what kind of gay person would I be if I liked sports?! lol...although I will watch football live in the stands, not on TV though. Mostly I did that cause my cousin is a kicker for Whitewater and I also went to a few of his high school games. Do you have any gay friends? know anyone gay? Ctjf83Talk 00:12, 4 March 2008 (UTC)

- LOL, my gaydar is pretty fucked up actually. Anytime I see someone hot, I just think he is gay....it is all wishful thinking!! No really, sometimes, ya it is easy to tell. I just get this womens intuition thing, like just watch eye contact. Straight guys don't keep eye contact for as long as a gay guy will. I don't know if it is some masculinity thing or what. But gay guys will keep that eye contact like a split second longer, you have to actually be watching for it. I've never actually met an anti-gay person. One time, in the 5 yrs i've been to the gay bar, one time outside someone called me and a few other people a fag as they drove by, so no big deal. I've been lucky to never get bashed, especially when I'm drunk at the strt bars, I still act gay, lol. LOL, you need to get you a gay friend or two...we can be great! Ctjf83Talk 02:58, 4 March 2008 (UTC)
- Nope, I've only been to Canada...Vancouver and Victoria, British Columbia. I went there for a high school band trip when i was 14. I've never been to Europe at all but I wanna check out London, Paris, and Sydney, Australia. It would be hot to visit all those!! Better find a sugar daddy for that though! You got a girlfriend? Ctjf83Talk 18:31, 4 March 2008 (UTC)
- Ya, he is a fuck...but not as big of a fuck as his former opponent. Hopefully the Democrat will win, it will be a much better America Ctjf83Talk 03:22, 6 March 2008 (UTC)
- Bush endorsed McCain today...as is expected for the republican president to endorse the republican candidate. Ya, hopefully it will backfire on McCain and hurt him. LOL, they do look alike Ctjf83Talk 03:57, 6 March 2008 (UTC)
- Well, thats been nearly 8 years, and I wasn't into politics at 16, I was semi into girls, lol. So I don't remember, I would assume the president would endorse their parties nominee. Well, again never been into politics back then, Clinton was good, except for his crappy Don't ask, don't tell and DOMA, which neither helped gays out. Other than that, I think he was pretty good. A lot of republicans are saying McCain isn't conservative enough, so I dunno how he got the nominee then. And hopefully his support for the war, even now, will hurt him among independence and allow the Democrat to win! Ctjf83Talk 04:13, 6 March 2008 (UTC)

- LMFAO, have u ever had thoughts like that?! I really knew at 18, but I use to think guys were hot when i was in 7th grade, just never thought it was gay. Yes, I kinda wanna have sex with a chick just to try it...btw, did u ever get firefox to IRC chat? Ctjf83Talk 04:27, 6 March 2008 (UTC)
- LOL, that sucks! well hurry up so it will be easier to chat! BTW, do you have a pic online i might see? Ctjf83Talk 04:40, 6 March 2008 (UTC)
- LOL, well get a pic, I just wanna see what you look like! I dunno if it will be good. I thought The Debarted was really good actually! Honestly, as much as I love the Simpsons, they have been slipping lately, and this proved me wrong, it was great, hopefully it continues on with Dial N and the rest of the season and series for that matter! Ctjf83Talk 05:16, 6 March 2008 (UTC)
- The last DVD was season 10, 11 should be coming out soon I hope! I never watched commentary till I started going GAs, but they are pretty interesting. My problem is I'll start watching, and then wanna watch the actually episode normally, so I do that instead Ctjf83Talk 05:26, 6 March 2008 (UTC)
