Demisexual

edit

Hi @Demiplume, thanks for starting the Demisexual article! It's definitely worth having an article on, but I just wanted to leave you a note about what sources Wikipedia considers acceptable on the chance you plan to keep working on the article. As a general rule, other wikis are not considered reliable sources, because any user can add to or edit those pages. It's the same reason why you can't cite a statement on Wikipedia by linking to another article. So the direct links to wiki.asexuality.org will probably need to be removed and replaced by other sources (academic articles, newspapers, etc). Alyo (chat·edits) 15:43, 19 July 2022 (UTC)Reply

Oh, ok. Thanks for the comment. Honestly being such a new term there isn't as much reliable sources about it but I'll try to find other sources...
I'm an admin on a demisexual group with 8000+ members, there really is a need for a more comprehensive definition and resources, specially when wanting to explain how attraction works for them, to potential partners.
It's the first time I'm adding an article to wikipedia so I'm kind of lost lol
I know the page was a redirect is it still a redirect or has that changed? I really appreciate your help. Demiplume (talk) 01:18, 20 July 2022 (UTC)Reply
@Demiplume I'm sorry, I totally missed this reply. You seem to have figured this out, but the page was moved to Demisexuality as the proper name of the noun. If you have any questions, please ask me on my talk page or the Talk:Demisexuality page. There's a lot to learn, but if you're willing to listen to other editors explaining how Wikipedia articles are generally written, you should be able to pick it up pretty quickly. Demiromanticism

edit

Hello! You seem to have a lot of knowledge on Demisexuality, so I was wondering if you also had knowledge on Demiromanticism. If so, I was wondering if you could help me change the Demiromanticism article from a redirect to a full fledged article as you did with the Demisexuality article. Your help would be greatly appreciated as my knowledge is limited at best. Treetoes023 (talk) 19:32, 31 July 2022 (UTC)Reply

Hi, sorry, I really don't know much about demiromanticism. I just know that demiromantics don't experience romantic attraction as fast or as usual as alloromantics. Demiplume (talk) 05:14, 26 August 2022 (UTC)Reply
