Custom signature fix needed

Hi there! You have a custom signature set in your account preferences. A change to Wikipedia's software has made your current custom signature incompatible with the software.

The problem: Your signature contains a syntax error, specifically formatting tags that are in the wrong order.

The solutions: You can reset your signature to the default, or you can fix your signature.

Solution 1: Reset your signature to the default:

1. Find the signature section in the first tab of Special:Preferences.
2. Uncheck the box (☑︎→☐) that says "Treat the above as wiki markup."
3. Remove anything in the Signature: text box.
4. Click the blue "Save" button at the bottom of the page. (The red "Restore all default settings" button will reset all of your preference settings, not just the signature.)

Solution 2: Fix your custom signature:

1. Find the signature section in the first tab of Special:Preferences.
2. Move the opening bold tag to the start of your signature, or make other edits to make the signature appear how you want it to appear.
3. Click Save to update to your newly fixed signature.

Looking to update Gary R. Stevenson's page

Hi! My name is Chris and I'm a communications executive at Major League Soccer, where Gary Stevenson is deputy commissioner. At his request, I would like to do a thorough edit and update of his page so it is more of an accurate reflection of his career than the one that someone wrote about him more than five years ago, it seems. Is this something I can do or you can help facilitate. I am open to all ideas. Hello, Chris! Apologies for the late reply. A prominent issue in the edits you have made is that they appear to be written as a means of promotion for Gary Stevenson. Before you start making your own edits again, I recommend you read up on the Manual of Style to get a better idea of what and what not to do in your editing, especially regarding the current issues with your edits (for example, after a quick glance, puffery in your edits seem to be an problem). For other questions regarding the matter, feel free to ask them at the Teahouse, as making such changes to articles isn't really my strong suit. Happy editing! Also, to reiterate what has already been said in your talk page, editing for the purposes of advertising, publicising, or promoting the subject of an article is not allowed. If you are being compensated in any way for editing an article, you need to disclose it. Seriously, read over what's been said there. It's pretty important stuff. I see you undid my edit on John Cena which i understand of course. If the information that you posted regarding John Cena is true, then surely there would be another source other than YouTube to back it up.

I'm not normally one to make bigger edits like the one you have, and I really would rather not have this devolve into an edit war, so I'm going to apply a citation needed tag to the information you've shared for now.
