Toe Fat (album) moved to draftspace

edit

An article you recently created, Toe Fat (album), does not have enough sources and citations as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited The Dude (Quincy Jones album), you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Ben Wright (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

The article Warheads on Foreheads has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

However, the image is currently not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

Problems with upload of File:Exuma 1970 album cover.jpg

edit

Thanks for uploading File:Exuma 1970 album cover.jpg. You don't seem to have said where the image came from, who created it, or provided a license tag. We require this information to verify that the image is legally usable on Wikipedia, and because most image licenses require giving credit to the image's creator.

To add this information, select the appropriate license tag from this list, click on this link, then click the "Edit" tab at the top of the page and add the information to the image's description. If you can't find a suitable license tag, the image is probably not appropriate for use on Wikipedia. If you need help, post your question on Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. Thank you for your cooperation. --ImageTaggingBot (talk) 03:30, 15 December 2020 (UTC)Reply

Unspecified source/license for File:Lo borges album cover 1972.jpg

edit

Thanks for uploading File:Lo borges album cover 1972.jpg. The image has been identified as not specifying the copyright status of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. Even if you created the image yourself, you still need to release it so Wikipedia can use it. If you don't indicate the copyright status of the image on the image's description page, using an appropriate copyright tag, it may be deleted some time after the next seven days. If you made this image yourself, you can use copyright tags like {{PD-self}} (to release all rights), {{self|cc-by-sa-4.0}} (to require that you be credited), or any tag here - just go to the image, click edit, and add one of those. If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided copyright information for them as well.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

This is an automated notice by MifterBot. For assistance on the image use policy, see Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. NOTE: Once you correct this, please remove the tag from the image's page. --MifterBot (TalkContribsOwner) 03:00, 16 December 2020 (UTC)Reply

Ways to improve An Insatiable High

edit

Hello, D1119,

Thank you for creating An Insatiable High.

I have tagged the page as having some issues to fix, as a part of our page curation process and note that:

Good work on finding the discography. The Youtube is not available. As this is a 1977 album, you may need to look for resources in print media archives. We will need another good resource. Try the Wikipedia Library. All the best, then.

The tags can be removed by you or another editor once the issues they mention are addressed. If you have questions, leave a comment here and begin it with {{Re|Whiteguru}}. Remember to sign your reply with ~~~~. For broader editing help, please visit the Teahouse.

You have a lot to learn when it comes to dealing with people. You and Dan have sidestepped the rules to get what you want. I hope someday you learn that the words "I want" don't guide the universe.

OK, thank you for the advice. D1119 (talk) 11:21, 20 May 2021 (UTC)Reply

I have shelves of books about jazz. Why is it that not one of them calls Aja a jazz album or Steely Dan a jazz group? This shelf includes Brian Sweet's biography of Steely Dan, where they deny being a jazz band. Wikiproject Jazz is for articles about jazz. Hence the name. It includes almost 30,000 articles with a backlog of nearly 4000 articles going about 12 years. Two people do most of the work. Why should the project accommodate the desires of you and Dan? I have probably been listening to Steely Dan since before either of you was born. My second point, Dan has a history of breaking the rules and generally being a troublemaker. If you continue to indulge him, you only make it worse.
Vmavanti (talk) 12:57, 20 May 2021 (UTC)Reply
Well apparently I'm the only one whose name is Dan, so I think that makes me more of an authority here than you... isento (talk) 06:53, 24 May 2021 (UTC)Reply
