Crion~enwiki
waterpolo.wikia.com
editI would be glad to help. I was looking through some of the other pages. The Halopedia site (http://halo.wikia.com/wiki/Main_Page) or Ice Hockey (http://icehockey.wikia.com/wiki/Main_Page) looks like we could just copy the layout and replace the text with Water polo info. Anything that isn't written yet will just stay as a red link until an article gets written. For example, I just copied and rewrote the right hand box on the Ice Hockey Wiki. (I changed the background color a little, and just made up some of the topics, for an example):
Science of the Game
- Water Polo Ball
- Field Player Cap
- Goalie Cap
- Water Polo Pool
- Entry Areas
- Poolside Markings
- Water Polo Referees
- Water Polo Goal
- Water Polo Shots
- Hole Set
- Water Polo Defense
- Water Polo Goalie
- Coaching Staff
- Water Polo Team Management
- Rules of Water Polo
- Water Polo Penalties
Foundations
For something simpler, we could also just copy the iPod Wiki (http://ipod.wikia.com/wiki/IPod_wiki) and replace the text.
For the first few articles, we just copy and paste some text from the Wikipedia articles, and start writing some new stuff. USA Water Polo usually has news items every few days.Ryanjo 02:23, 8 September 2006 (UTC)
- Here's how to do it. Go to the wiki site that you want to "lift" the format from. On the top tabs, click on "view source". When the window opens copy all the typed stuff in the window. Then switch to the Water Polo wiki main page. Click on "view source" and paste all the text you copied into that window. Then click on the "article" tab -- see, you copied the page onto your Water polo main page! Now click on "view source" and get started changing the text of the links (inside the angle brackets) to the name of an article that will eventually be written for water polo (like I did up above). Also change the plain text so it says something about Water polo, not Halo. After you make a few changes, save, and click back to the "article" tab to make sure it looks like what you want. If it gets screwed up, just click on the "history" tab and go back one version and start over.
- Let me know when you paste in the format you want and I give you a hand with some changes.
- To write an article that links to the main page, click on one of the red links that you just renamed. A page will open that says no such page exists. Type your article into the window and save it. When you go back to the main page, the link will be blue, and clicking on it will take you to the new article.Ryanjo 00:51, 9 September 2006 (UTC)

You can't remove the column contents on the left or right. The right column is for targeted ads by Google, tied to page content (notice that they are all themed for water polo). I guess that pays the bills for Wikia. The left column is for navigation. Contributers can only change the center section. Ryanjo 12:00, 27 September 2006 (UTC)
Wikia picture isn't editable. Only content in the center section (below the tabs) can be replaced. Ryanjo 16:23, 27 September 2006 (UTC)

Your account will be renamed
editHello,
The developer team at Wikimedia is making some changes to how accounts work, as part of our on-going efforts to provide new and better tools for our users like cross-wiki notifications. These changes will mean you have the same account name everywhere. This will let us give you new features that will help you edit and discuss better, and allow more flexible user permissions for tools. One of the side-effects of this is that user accounts will now have to be unique across all 900 Wikimedia wikis. See the announcement for more information.
Unfortunately, your account clashes with another account also called Crion. To make sure that both of you can use all Wikimedia projects in future, we have reserved the name Crion~enwiki that only you will have. If you like it, you don't have to do anything. If you do not like it, you can pick out a different name. If you think you might own all of the accounts with this name and this message is in error, please visit Special:MergeAccount to check and attach all of your accounts to prevent them from being renamed.
Your account will still work as before, and you will be credited for all your edits made so far, but you will have to use the new account name when you log in.
Sorry for the inconvenience.
Yours,
Keegan Peterzell
