Adoption
editI would be happy to adopt you. First, you should know that:
Adoption is:
- A mentorship, where the Adopter answers questions and offers friendly advice and support.
- For help with technical difficulties, policy interpretation and conflict management.
Adoption is not:
- Forever. Once experienced, an Adoptee will be able to graduate, though likely to stay in touch with their Adopter.
- A social club. Though fun, Adoption is there to help users use and improve Wikipedia.
- Just for the newest of users. It is also for users with limited experience who want to expand their involvement.
- A shield. Adoptees remain solely responsible for their behavior.
Taken from the adoption information page, not my rules, but it's best to make these things clear setting out. If you're happy with all that, then you can become my adoptee by placing the code {{Adoptee|Strdst grl}}
on your userpage - although you are welcome to look for someone else from the list of adopters if you want to, and placing the code {{subst:dated adoptme}}
will encourage other offers.
If you are happy to be adopted by me, then leave me a message - at my talk page or here, I am watching both - and I will add you to my list and lset up an area where you can contact me if you have any problems. strdst_grl (call me Stardust) 14:23, 3 June 2010 (UTC)
- I have now adopted you! All you need to do is place the code
{{Adoptee|Strdst grl}}
on your userpage, and any time you have a problem, question or something to talk about, you can leave me a message at my adoption page. strdst_grl (call me Stardust) 15:03, 3 June 2010 (UTC)
- I have replied to your message at my adoption page. In future, I will not always remind you when I reply, so please watch the page to keep track of your messages. strdst_grl (call me Stardust) 09:27, 4 June 2010 (UTC)

Just a thought
editI just had a quick look at your recent changes and you are editing well, but I would advise you to check your facts before you post on talk pages... such as your (false) claim at Talk:Roald Dahl that Wales is not part of Britain. strdst_grl (call me Stardust) 16:25, 9 June 2010 (UTC)

Hello and welcome to this, the second edition of the newsletter. This month, I need to ask a favour of you. You may have seen that this month I had to write the newsletter by my self. Please use them to share this newsletter on your favourite social networks. Until next time, happy editing!

There are many ways to promote the project. One of them is to add the project's ad to your userpage. To do this, simply add the code Todo List:

Children and Young Adult's literature WikiProject Newsletter - Issue 3
edit
|
Hello and welcome to this, the third edition of our WikiProject's newsletter. In this month's newsletter, I encountered a problem, well, two problems actually. I needed some help with the production: suggestions and other writers. As with last month, if you have any suggestions for the newsletter, please add them at the Tips Desk. If you would like to write some of the next issue, that's even better! Just come go over to the main Newsletter page to see where you can help out, and of course, as always, please give us your feedback on this edition, on the talk page. Until next time, happy editing!

Userboxitis
editThanks for the userboxitis userboxes that you made! I just added them to my "collection." Frankly, I'm surprised you found the time, since, by looking at your talk page, you seem to be a lot busier than I am, especially considering that the Userboxitis article is probably the sole truly important thing I've contributed to Wikipedia... Congratulations on being adopted, by the way. I never got adopted, and so I kind of had to figure stuff out on my own (took me forever to figure out how to make a subpage) but I got the hang of it. Thinking of adding a whole bunch of stuff to the Userboxitis article, like how to diagnose yourself, maybe a separate page for a Userboxitis clinic or a list of Wikipedians with Userboxitis or something... Kind of like what Wikipediholism has... I've also been practicing on making userboxes, so I can further my "disease," if you will. -- Imadeausername! (talk|contribs) 03:59, 10 March 2011 (UTC)
