{{resolved}} vs. {{tl|resolved}}

I noticed this bot archives the Graphics Lab sections as {{tl|resolved}} instead of {{resolved}}. Is it normal? Is there a hidden motive?--Carnby (talk) 03:33, 18 May 2022 (UTC)

@Carnby: What article sorry? - RichT|C|E-Mail 18:31, 21 May 2022 (UTC)

Potentally because that is what is set as the archivenow setting... so it converts it to a tl in order to prevent looping. This is a pure guess of course - RichT|C|E-Mail 15:39, 22 May 2022 (UTC)
Do you know Victor Trevor well don’t talk to him. Gymdog9 (talk) 17:07, 3 June 2022 (UTC)
@Carnby: This behaviour is documented in User:ClueBot III/Documentation § Optional parameters, under the archivenow section. It converts any templates listed in that parameter to {{tl}} in order to escape them, so this would be normal behaviour—though I'm not sure about the intention behind this. Cobi might be able to explain further. —k6ka 🍁 (Talk · Contributions) 19:44, 24 May 2022 (UTC)
@Cobi and K6ka: So it would be better to leave things as they are?--Carnby (talk) 05:34, 27 May 2022 (UTC)

Apparent premature archival at User talk page

In this edit of 00:54, 26 June 2022, User:Jgstokes reverted a ClueBot archival on their User talk page performed shortly before (diff), claiming that the threads were only two days old. Prior to archival user had this config on their UTP (see rev. 1094681795) :

{{User:ClueBot III/ArchiveThis|archiveprefix=User talk:Jmjosh90/Archive 1/Archives/|format=Y/F|age=42|archivebox=yes|box-advert=yes}}

and I don't see a subsequent archival config on their Talk page. This would seem designed to prevent archival of the undated Welcome message, and a subsequent section added by a third party also dated 23 June, as they were less than 42 days old. Unless the undated Welcome section somehow interferes? Please advise. (please   mention me on reply; thanks!) Mathglot (talk) 01:40, 26 June 2022 (UTC)

@Mathglot: The age parameter is a number of hours not days, so age=42 will make things disappear very quickly. See User:ClueBot_III#Required_parameters -- John of Reading (talk) 07:13, 26 June 2022 (UTC)
John of Reading Thanks, that explains it. An unfortunate disconnect between that, and the |age= parameter of Template:Talk header, which defaults to days, but I guess each had their own development arc, and on a volunteer project there's no overarching coordinator overseeing such things. Just another thing to be aware of, many thanks for clueing me in! Mathglot (talk) 07:53, 26 June 2022 (UTC)
