Great work! My apologies for putting up a stub without knowing of your full page. I wish it had been approved on March 2, then Reese would have had a page up in time for the Selma Jubilee. If not apology, an explanation. Happened to be in Selma for the Jubilee, and met a woman who worked directly with Reese. I mentioned that he really needed a Wikipedia page, and that I had a very short stub already in my sandbox, and that I'd put it up after returning and alert her so she could add to it. Then, yesterday, I was glad to see that you've already organized a full page, and will call her to tell her. As I said, you had a good page set to go before the Jubilee, but now that it's finally up, congrats on good work. How did you become interested in Reese and writing about him here? Thanks for the comment on my user page, just rambling there, and when will we see your user page?? I met Rev. Reese only once, ten years ago, and wouldn't it be nice if he and some of the other old-timers make the 60th reunion. Cheers and glasses raised, Randy Kryn 11:52 16 March, 2015 (UTC)

What an wonderful day, and I agree, how wonderful it would be to be together on this earth for the 60th. I started learning about Rev. Reese after watching the movie Selma and reading up on names in the cast list. Lots of reasons why I dedicated the time to his page. I think it's important for us to know the history of nonviolent revolution. I'm a teacher activist, and I love knowing about others who have followed that path. And I think we need to talk about history, of civil rights, of music, of science, of whatever, so that we recognize that it's not just one or two big names, but the whole constellation of people, hundreds, thousands, millions, who come together to create the culture we live in! Beautifully said, and I wish hundreds of more people like you would edit these pages. Too many people look at Wikipedia as unimportant (mainly because they see it, in a mistaken view, as "the encyclopedia anyone can edit", and thus believe that every page is overrun with random teens editing drunk on a Saturday night) when, if they would actually check the scholarship, work, and protection that goes into these pages, they'd jump right in and add to it (editing while drunk on a Saturday night). I love history as well, but that can be defined as having a sense of history, which it sounds like you have, and those of us who have it know it ("you mean George Washington Carver actually worked in this room???!"). As for the film Selma, nice that you actually became interested in researching the roles, and Oprah and the others would be proud to hear that. Because of the movie look at what a nice page Rev. Reese has now, and he will be reading it too. I bet he mumbled about not having a page more than once when everyone around him during the movement had their Wikipedia pages. Long note longer, you seem to have the spirit and interest, so don't feel intimidated by Wikipedia. One of the main guidelines here is "Be bold", which means, on one level, that if you really feel an addition is needed, do it (with sources if possibly) and see if it sticks.
