The discussion is not closed. Spartaz tried to close it early just as I was posting my responses: Wikipedia:Miscellany_for_deletion/User:Stevertigo/Obama_and_accusations_of_National_Socialism. Please restore. Thanks. -Stevertigo 13:43, 4 September 2009 (UTC)

Article restored. I eagerly await your responses. --Chris 13:46, 4 September 2009 (UTC)

format=php vs. format=dbg

I have noticed that you use format=php for API interfacing instead of the seemingly more intuitive format=dbg, which exports the results as an array. Is there any particular benefit to using serialized data? @harej 16:09, 13 September 2009 (UTC)

You get the same result. Either way it comes out as an array in the end, I just use format=php because thats what Cobi used for his classes. --Chris 09:18, 14 September 2009 (UTC)

Please don't tell me something I already know!

If you go on the image page and actually read what written, you see the following:

This image has been replaced by an update.

Please delete immediately. It is no longer required.

  • Do not leave messages on my talk page telling me the image is orphaned. I know That's why I am doing this.
  • Do not leave messages on my talk page telling me the image has no licence. I know That's because the image has been replaced and it needs deleting.

Many thanks.

So please:

(a) Do not send me any more such messages - as it clearly states above.

(b) Just delete the image!

Regards, Btline (talk) 11:53, 15 September 2009 (UTC)

I am sorry, it is very hard for a bot to read and understand English, my bot just looks for images without copyright tags, when it finds one it tags it for deletion. Anyway the image has been deleted. --Chris 09:52, 17 September 2009 (UTC)

The Shoe image

Please explain why you have challenged my image for The Shoe, when I filled out the form correctly showing that I made it myself and assigning copyright status. Deipnosophista (talk) 17:58, 15 September 2009 (UTC)

Images must have a valid copyright tag on the image description page. --Chris 09:53, 17 September 2009 (UTC)

Thanks, I've requested the article be salted to prevent sock recreation. Mjroots (talk) 13:29, 22 September 2009 (UTC)

Tim Ellis photo

Thanks for your message left on my discussion page. I did select an appropriate licence tag (Commons Creative licence 3.0, IIRC)when uploading the image but this hasn't made it onto the page. Please tell me what I need to do in order to add the correct template. Thanks. GrahamSmith (talk) 00:33, 22 September 2009 (UTC)

I've added the template for you. Have a nice day :) --Chris 13:23, 22 September 2009 (UTC)
Thank you for your help; it was kind of you and is very much appreciated. — GrahamSmith (talk) 21:21, 22 September 2009 (UTC)

CVU Notice

The Article The Canterbury Tales has become a hotspot for vandals as of late. Just a notice I guess.  Burningview  03:08, 23 September 2009 (UTC)

Thanks for your message. I took the picture myself of my truck and release it fully. I hope I selected the right tag; I'm very new to this and would appreciate any help. Lpimlott (talk) 00:26, 28 September 2009 (UTC)

The tag you have selected is fine. --Chris 01:05, 28 September 2009 (UTC)

Sumer3,jpg

Regarding your note on the Sumer 3 map I uploaded, this was a map drawn painstakingly by me by hand, using powerpoint and then saving it as a jpg. As the copywrite holder (myself) I give permission for its free use. Hope this helps John D. Croft (talk) 15:43, 28 September 2009 (UTC)

The image was deleted, however there was an identical copy on commons so this appears to be a blessing in disguise. --Chris 00:25, 29 September 2009 (UTC)

File:Menu_key_screen.jpg

I have been told that this image may be deleted by your bot (a message was left on Menu key's history saying so) but there is no tag on the File at all and I have copyrighted it, could you clarify? 95jb14 (talk) 19:05, 28 September 2009 (UTC)

No, everything is fine. When you uploaded the image you forgot to add a copyright tag so my bot tagged it for deletion - you then added a tag removing the deletion tag which is how the system is supposed to work. --Chris 00:21, 29 September 2009 (UTC)
