2022 European Women's Handball Championship

edit

Hi,

  • In which match was Davidson on the match report? See Norway, should we add the other 16 players which didnt participate in any match add to the roster as well?
  • For what readon player numvers should not be mentioned? The link above shows them, so do the match reports.

Sb008 (talk) 22:03, 20 November 2022 (UTC)Reply

Hi. This year it was a 20 player squad, not 16 as usual. So Davidsen also was part of the squad. Valle Dahl never played either, although she was on the bench one game. And regarding numbers, if you a look at previous tournaments numbers are not being used. Not something I've decided! Best Chartah (talk) 22:06, 20 November 2022 (UTC)Reply
And btw, if we go back in time it was the same - 16 players in a squad and only 12 players in each match. Everyone still got their medal. Take Katrine Lunde as an example. She was part of the Norway's 2002 European Championship-squad and got silver, but was never on the match report in any of the matches. Best Chartah (talk) 22:12, 20 November 2022 (UTC)Reply
* So when, where and who decided no numbers? For sure you decided things have to be done as they always have been done. Give me a valid reason for not mentioning them instead of using habit as argument. Habit is the biggest obstacle for progress.
* Receiving a medal and being on the roster are 2 different things. Dahl was on the roster, Davidson wasn't. If you want to add Davidson you should change "team roster" into "squad". But then, since you like habits so much, such a change would conflict with those habits. And who is the 20th player?
--Sb008 (talk) 22:53, 20 November 2022 (UTC)Reply
Sorry for chipping in but this is the squad that was listed and should have a medal. The numbers are not needed, i agree with that. Kante4 (talk) 22:57, 20 November 2022 (UTC)Reply
Again, a roster and a medal are 2 different things. Davidson may receive a medal but she was NEVER on the roster. Like I said, change "team roster" into "squad" and it's fine, but not as is. --Sb008 (talk) 23:26, 20 November 2022 (UTC)Reply
To: Sb008: You could have a maximum of 20 players in the squad. Norway chose to have 19. And to conclude this, it doesn't really matter to me personally, but Davidsen actually was a part of the squad. In the link Kante4 linked to she is clearly on the roster. Hi,

For the match Norway v Austria you claim:

"It's 2 not 1. Breistøl at 05:34 and Ingstad 59:14. For AUT: Hanfeld at 12:15."

  1. Who is Hanfield? At 05:40 Klare Schlegel of AUT got 2-min.
  2. Vilde Mortensen Ingstad indeed got 2-min at 59:14, but Kristine Breistøl?

Are you familiair with JSON? Below the 2-min suspensions for both teams. What is shown is the full name, time of 1st 2-min, time of 2nd 2 min. time of 3rd 2-min. A null value means the specific event never occurred.

Command:
curl -s "https://www.eurohandball.com/umbraco/Api/MatchDetailApi/GetMatchDetailsAsync?matchId=202412130101006&culture=en-US&contentId=4740" | jq -r '.matchDetails.details.homeTeam.players[] | .person.firstName + " " + .person.lastName + " ---> " + (.score.penalty2Min1|tostring) + " " + (.score.penalty2Min2|tostring) + " " + (.score.penalty2Min3|tostring)'

For comparing purposes from the match Switzerland v Austria, the output for SUI, where multiple players got 1 or more 2-min suspensions.

Command:
curl -s "https://www.eurohandball.com/umbraco/Api/MatchDetailApi/GetMatchDetailsAsync?matchId=202412130101001&culture=en-US&contentId=4740" | jq -r '.matchDetails.details.homeTeam.players[] | .person.firstName + " " + .person.lastName + " ---> " + (.score.penalty2Min1|tostring) + " " + (.score.penalty2Min2|tostring) + " " + (.score.penalty2Min3|tostring)'

Output:

Besides players the same output can be requested for officials, just replace "players" by "officials" in the JSON query (jq) command.

Not only the JSON output shows only 1 2-min suspension for Norway, so do the match page and the match report.

So, what are your claims regarding Breistøl and Hanfeld based on? --Sb008 (talk) 11:58, 5 April 2024 (UTC)Reply

The ACTUAL game. I watched it. Did you? See photos attached.

I found the video of the full match, and the video indeed doesn't seem to match with the EHF reports. But you know how it is, in the end the official reports are decisive and what counts, no matter whether they reflect the actual events or not. So, best to address the EHF on the issue and see if they'll change the reports. --Sb008 (talk) 21:16, 5 April 2024 (UTC)Reply

Hey, isn't the Norwegian roster a preliminary one? Those can stay or is it completely different? Kante4 (talk) 13:52, 21 June 2024 (UTC)Reply

Hey. The preliminary squad will be selected July 3. This is just a squad selected for training in Oslo. Although, mostly will of course be a part of the 17 player squad. So I would say it's too early to post this squad.
Chartah (talk) 23:07, 21 June 2024 (UTC)Reply
Ok, i thought it was a prelim. one which can be added as it was also added here. Kante4 (talk) 17:32, 23 June 2024 (UTC)Reply
