- Do a search on Google or your preferred search engine for the subject of the Wikipedia article that you want to create a citation for.
- Find a website that supports the claim you are trying to find a citation for.
- In a new tab/window, go to the citation generator, click on the 'An arbitrary website' bubble, and fill out as many fields as you can about the website you just found.
- Click the 'Get reference wiki text' button.
- Highlight, and then copy (Ctrl+C or Apple+C), the resulting text (it will be something like
<ref> {{cite web | .... }}</ref>
, copy the whole thing). - In the Wikipedia article, after the claim you found a citation for, paste (Ctrl+V or Apple+V) the text you copied.
- If the article does not have a References or Notes section (or the like), add this to the bottom of the page, but above the External Links section and the categories:
==References== {{Reflist}}
Bias on article about Donald Trump?
editHi, I responded to your talk page comment.
But I also wanted to send you this link:
Talk:Donald Trump/Response to claims of bias
Hope that can help to clear some things up. 72.14.126.22 (talk) 20:14, 22 September 2024 (UTC)
You're right, the page seems to have several biases. There should be no political ideas on Wikipedia, but unfortunately the opposite is almost inevitable, given that an overwhelming majority of academics in American and British academies and universities are left-wing (see: [1], etc.).
Although it's true that the objective reality in the US is slightly left-wing, this page exaggerates so much that it doesn't seem entirely credible. JacktheBrown (talk) 11:42, 25 September 2024 (UTC)
Hello. First, I am not an admin, just an ordinary editor like you. I have closed your thread because it had turned into a forum discussion and was a clear net negative. It was close to being a candidate for immediate closure under current consensus item 61. My suggestion: Instead of such a general question, open one or more threads proposing specific improvements to the article, with supporting sources. One thread per specific suggestion works best. ―Mandruss ☎ 05:32, 18 November 2024 (UTC)
