Population figures
editHi Bornsommer
What's your source for the population figures relating to the Danish counties? I'd like to add that information to the page. Valentinian (talk) 23:18, 10 May 2006 (UTC)
Hi Bornsommer, I think your additions to the populations figures are quite confusing, and doesn't help improve the currently already confused text. Something should be done about simplifying it, not add more needless details. Carewolf 14:30, 26 July 2007 (UTC)
Hi Carewolf, I have written, as is the fact, that Statistics Denmark/SD only used the population of 16 municipalities, hereof 2 muni´s only partially (Ballerup and Søllerød(today part of Rudersdal)),in its Metropolitan Copenhagen(Storkøbenhavn)statistical abstract. This is stated in the English Wikipedia article. SD only states the number of people living (Jan.1,2006)in Metropolitan Copenhagen as 1,084,885 (2006), but this is more than 30,000 people fewer than lived (2006;statistikbanken.dk/Table BEF1A) in all these 16 muni´s that date. All of the total land area of these 16 muni´s was (English Wikipedia(455.61 sq km)), but that land area includes these more than 30,000 people that lived in (the parts of) Ballerup and Søllerød municipalities, that was not part of (the contiguous built-up area of) Metropolitan Copenhagen. By the way, the part of this section that states that there were 18 municipalities (as of Jan.1,2006) included (wholly or partially) in Metrop. Copenhagen should be deleted. The figure 18 is plain wrong(as of Jan.1,2006).Bornsommer 06:05, 28 July 2007 (UTC)

editI reverted your edit because it removed the bottom half of the page. If you are running an old version of the Google toolbar, you'll need to disable it before editing again. This is an automated message from CorenSearchBot. I have performed a web search with the contents of Tara Gandhi Bhattacharjee, and it appears to include material copied directly from http://www.in.com/tara-gandhi-bhattacharjee/profile-1871625.html.
It is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article. The article will be reviewed to determine if there are any copyright issues.
If substantial content is duplicated and it is not public domain or available under a compatible license, it will be deleted. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material. You may use such publications as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. See our copyright policy for further details. (If you own the copyright to the previously published content and wish to donate it, see Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials for the procedure.) Speedy deletion nomination of Tara Gandhi Bhattacharjee
editIf this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on Tara Gandhi Bhattacharjee, requesting that it be deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under two or more of the criteria for speedy deletion, by which articles can be deleted at any time, without discussion. If the page meets any of these strictly-defined criteria, then it may be soon be deleted by an administrator. The reasons it has been tagged are:
- It appears to be a clear copyright infringement of http://www.in.com/tara-gandhi-bhattacharjee/profile-1871625.html. (See section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion.) For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.
If the external website belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text — which means allowing other people to modify it — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. If you are not the owner of the external website but have permission from that owner, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission. However, even if you use one of these processes to release copyrighted material to Wikipedia, it still needs to comply with the other policies and guidelines to be eligible for inclusion. If you would like any assistance with this, you can ask a question at the help desk.
- It appears to be about a person, organization (band, club, company, etc.), individual animal, or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. (See section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion.) Such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. Using a pocket calculator, I have deducted with its help from the 2432 councillors having been elected in the Danish municipal election 21 November 2017, Danish local elections, 2017#Number of councillors and political parties in the Municipal Councils, the councillors' seats won by each political party list that is (2432-842-688-225-223-126-102-80-29-20-10-9-1=) 77 ("Others" in the bottom line), not 78, for a fall of 22, -0.7 %, not 21, -0.6 %. A user on the talk page disagrees, and I do not know how to change the numbers in the table.

- First, I get 77 myself with that calcuation, and I've said so on the talk page.
- You should be able to use the visual editor ("edit", not "edit source") to edit that number pretty directly. But I would not recommend it while the talk page discussion is under way, that could be seen as edit warring. --joe deckertalk 19:28, 25 November 2017 (UTC)
- I concur with Joe Decker regarding the location of this concern - you should join in the talk page discussion and make your case. Primefac (talk) 21:35, 25 November 2017 (UTC)
- Okay, but I do not want to waste my precious time, when it is clear as a sunlit day that the objectively correct number is 77 after the simplest count that exists (subtraction/addition). The truth speaks for itself. I have encountered f*cking m*r*ns before on Wikipedia, and will not waste any of my time on them. Over and out.--Bornsommer (talk) 22:50, 25 November 2017 (UTC)

Hello. I have reverted your edits for two reasons: A) they're unsourced, and B) comparing the number of square meters of arable land per Dane to the number of square meters of arable land per person in the Netherlands, two countries that are both very small but where one has a population that is more than three times larger than in the other, is a very odd comparison, especially in a global perspective. It's also not encyclopaedic. - Tom | Thomas.W talk 20:11, 3 November 2018 (UTC)
- I can add that the only comparison that would be interesting would be acres/hectares per person, regardless of the geographical size of the country and the size of the population, a comparison in which Denmark wouldn't stand out in any way, since a quick check of arable land in percent of a country's area ([2]) and some calculation based on that and the size/population of a few countries shows that the United States has ~10% more arable land per person than Denmark, in spite of the great wastelands of Alaska and the deserts and mountains of the western parts of the US, and even Finland has almost the same quantity of arable land per person as Denmark has (4,078 square meters per person in Finland, compared to 4,152 square meters per person in Denmark, and 4,675 square meters per person in the US...) - Tom | Thomas.W talk 20:43, 3 November 2018 (UTC)
