A page you started (Galatians (People)) has been reviewed!

edit

Thanks for creating Galatians (People), Bird Vision!

Wikipedia editor Jennie Matthews 97 just reviewed your page, and wrote this note for you:

Nice start. You might wish to add some more material to distinguish it from Galatia or run the risk of a "mrge" template. But there are separate articles for peoples and territories, example Gaul and Gauls, so should be OK

Copying within Wikipedia requires proper attribution

edit

Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you copied or moved text from Ligures into List of ancient Ligurian tribes. While you are welcome to re-use Wikipedia's content, here or elsewhere, Wikipedia's licensing does require that you provide attribution to the original contributor(s). When copying within Wikipedia, this is supplied at minimum in an edit summary at the page into which you've copied content, disclosing the copying and linking to the copied page, e.g., copied content from [[page name]]; see that page's history for attribution. It is good practice, especially if copying is extensive, to also place a properly formatted {{copied}} template on the talk pages of the source and destination. The attribution has been provided for this situation, but if you have copied material between pages before, even if it was a long time ago, please provide attribution for that duplication. You can read more about the procedure and the reasons at Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia. Thank you. If you are the sole author of the prose that was moved, attribution is not required. — Diannaa 🍁 (talk) 19:20, 3 March 2018 (UTC)Reply

I see you are still not adding the required attribution, as required under the terms of the CC-by-SA license. Please have a look at this edit summary as an example of how it is done. Please leave a message on my talk page if you still don't understand what to do or why we have to do it. Thanks, — Diannaa 🍁 (talk) 21:19, 28 March 2018 (UTC)Reply

The article List of ancient Daco-Thracian peoples and tribes has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

No reliable source lists these tribes and peoples together.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.

List of Tribes undo

edit

Hi. I undid your latest revisions to the List of Roman Tribes page, mainly because a bunch of the info was already there (like how many are derived from gentes), and because another bunch can already be found on the Tribes pages itself. This list page should be kept tidy without reproducing that info. (Frankly it might be easily incorporated into the Tribes page anyway, as it's not long.) I'd suggest breaking up the edits and trying to add strictly relevant items one at a time. - Eponymous-Archon (talk) 15:08, 20 November 2019 (UTC)Reply

List of ancient Anatolian (Indo-European) peoples moved to draftspace

edit

An article you recently created, List of ancient Anatolian (Indo-European) peoples, does not have enough sources and citations as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. I killed the redirect that was originally located at List of ancient Anatolian peoples that linked to Anatolian people in order to manually transfer your draft article, Draft:List of ancient Anatolian peoples to the mainspace page.   Welcome to Wikipedia. Unfortunately, content you added to List of ancient Greek tribes appears to be a minority or fringe viewpoint, and appears to have given undue weight to this minority viewpoint, and has been reverted. To maintain a neutral point of view, an idea that is not broadly supported by scholarship in its field must not be given undue weight in an article about a mainstream idea. Feel free to use the article's talk page to discuss this, and take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Thank you.
