A few errors
editI had a look at a few of your recent edits when I saw the Arabic edit summaries. I found a few errors; I don't know how many pages are affected, but please have a look at the bottom of Portal:Aviation/Historical anniversaries/July in aviation/July 13, Portal:Aviation/Historical anniversaries/July in aviation/July 11 and Portal:Aviation/Historical anniversaries/July in aviation/July 10. -- John of Reading (talk) 07:34, 12 November 2012 (UTC)
- Now I've scrolled further up the overnight "Recent Changes" list, I see you've fixed most of them. -- John of Reading (talk) 07:40, 12 November 2012 (UTC)
- Thank you for your email. It is technically possible for one page to be built up out of parts of some other pages. That's called "transclusion", and there's an example at 670s - most of the content of this "decade" article is a software-generated copy of the "year" articles 670, 671 and so on. But it would be very difficult to re-arrange pages such as 1967 in aviation and Portal:Aviation/Historical anniversaries/January in aviation/January 1 so that each news item was only stored once. I'm afraid we're stuck with the current duplication.
- You'll find that most messages between Wikipedia editors are written on "talk pages" like this one, and not by email. This makes it easy for other editors to offer help and opinions. See Help:Using talk pages. In my case, my Wikipedia email account isn't my main email account, and you were lucky that I happened to log in to it today. -- John of Reading (talk) 16:42, 12 November 2012 (UTC)
- Hello ***
Just noted that some pages edited (Portal:Aviation/Historical anniversaries/April in aviation/April 17,18,19... And maybe others) are mixed with a lot of informations from January same days. Don't know if it's the right place to inform... Regards. 217.128.192.52 (talk) 08:11, 10 April 2013 (UTC) Francois Vebr 217.128.192.52 (talk) 08:11, 10 April 2013 (UTC)
