Tagging of David Ochildiyev
I recently removed a speedy delete tag that you had placed on David Ochildiyev. I do not think that David Ochildiyev fits any of the speedy deletion criteria because "He has published over 200 scientific works" is a Claim of significance. I request that you consider not re-tagging David Ochildiyev for speedy deletion without discussing the matter on the appropriate talk page. DES (talk)DESiegel Contribs 17:13, 22 July 2017 (UTC)
Proposed deletion of Roger Connah
You suggested its removal due to the lack of references. I have now added two references and will add a few more in the next day. Connah is an important living critic and pedagogue, and in my opinion it would be a shame not to have him included in Wikipedia. With two references already added, I have removed the tag.--TTKK (talk) 07:31, 24 July 2017 (UTC)
Tagging of Pentti Oskari Kangas
Hi BangJan1999
I have removed your speedy deletion tag from the article Pentti Oskari Kangas. Please take care when adding speedy tags to articles, as they cause some disruption, and it seems from this and the example mentioned above, that you are not fully familiar with the criteria. Have a read of Wikipedia:Criteria_for_speedy_deletion#A7, and consider taking articles to WP:AFD rather than speedy deletion, which is a proper organised venue for discussing potential deletions. Thanks! — Amakuru (talk) 22:32, 24 July 2017 (UTC)
- Again, I've just removed the speedy from Eric Taylor (Brazilian musician). Please review Wikipedia:Criteria_for_speedy_deletion#A7, and do not add A7 tags to articles where the significance is clearly stated. This is not to say that he is definitely notable enough for Wikipedia, only that he is not eligible under the A7 criterion - the "asserts significance" bar is much lower than the general notability bar. You should open up a discussion at WP:AFD if you believe he is not notable, as indeed you did for Terry Tarnoff. Thanks, and please let me know if you require any further assistance with anything! — Amakuru (talk) 10:08, 25 July 2017 (UTC)
BLPPROD
Hello. Can you refer to WP:BLPPROD? It says "to be eligible for a BLPPROD tag, the entry must be a biography of a living person and contain no sources in any form (as references, external links, etc., reliable or otherwise) supporting any statements made about the person in the biography." This means that if the article is a biography of a living person called Rodney Scott, and says "Rodney Scott is an actor", and there is a link to IMDb, and when you click that link you can read "Rodney Scott is an actor", then the article is NOT eligible for BLPPROD.
So, most if not all of the articles you recently tagged with BLPPROD are not eligible for BLPPROD. Please revert yourself. Thanks and regards, Biwom (talk) 01:30, 25 July 2017 (UTC)
- You are still incorrectly applying the BLPROD tag. Can you explain why you've chosen to disregard Biwom's explanation above? Would you please consider holding off on tagging articles until you have a better understanding of our deletion criteria?--Jezebel's Ponyobons mots 23:09, 25 July 2017 (UTC)
- Sorry about that! I had overlooked the link in the infobox. BangJan1999 23:17, 25 July 2017 (UTC)
Battle Tendency Edit Revert
You're pretty clever to find my edits right mere minutes after the posting of them. Is this your Stand power? DolphinOfJustice (talk) 21:06, 1 August 2017 (UTC)
- I'm just constantly refreshing the Special:RecentChanges page to check for vandalism. BangJan1999 21:08, 1 August 2017 (UTC)
Thank you
Thank you for your thanks. I am trying my best to get back into CV stuff and a little bit of encouragement always helps.

You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on Celebrity Mastermind. Users are expected to collaborate with others, to avoid editing disruptively, and to try to reach a consensus rather than repeatedly undoing other users' edits once it is known that there is a disagreement.
Please be particularly aware that Wikipedia's policy on edit warring states:
- Edit warring is disruptive regardless of how many reverts you have made.
- Do not edit war even if you believe you are right.
If you find yourself in an editing dispute, use the article's talk page to discuss controversial changes; work towards a version that represents consensus among editors. You can post a request for help at an appropriate noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases it may be appropriate to request temporary page protection. If you engage in an edit war, you may be blocked from editing. Toddst1 (talk) 23:17, 12 October 2017 (UTC)

Edit warring
I'm not going to be a dick and slap a template however I am going ask that you stop edit warring and go to the talkpage (and if you disagree with the talkpage then unwatch the article), As I said consensus was to trim these down not remove them entirely,
If you want them removed start an RFC that's the only best advice I can give, If you revert again I'll have to take you to WP:AN3 which I really don't want to have to do on a Friday evening, Thanks, –Davey2010Talk 16:00, 8 December 2017 (UTC)
Celebrity MasterChef (series 8)
Just a friendly heads up on Celebrity MasterChef (series 8). I declined your speedy request -- it's a huge task for me to try to guess what deletion discussions you're thinking of. If you can give links, you'll make things a whole lot easier to check.----Fabrictramp | talk to me 04:05, 14 December 2017 (UTC)

Question Regarding Egghead Globalization Tag
Hello @BangJan1999:
Could I get a bit more information regarding your reasoning for adding the globalization tag to the Egghead article in January 2018? [1] It seems that the US focus might be based on the fact that it is US slang, so I might remove it if there isn't a good reason to keep it.

to your reply (talk page, contribs) 14:02, 22 January 2020 (UTC)
- @ZfJames: Mainly because there is a quiz show in the UK called Eggheads which features people considered to be among the UK's best quizzers, quite a different meaning to the US slang. BangJan1999 14:14, 22 January 2020 (UTC)
- @BangJan1999: Gotcha... We do have the disambiguation page that lists that usage, so this seems to be an inappropriate use of this tag. I'm going to remove the tag and add a "not to be confused with" tag since we already have another article.

how to tag template for speedy deletion
Hello, Template:Pebble_Beach_Auto_Week was tagged for auto deletion, but that was removed and the edit said the criteria does not apply to templates. Can you please provide some support or post on the talk page about what should be done instead? -- Charlesreid1 (talk) 20:54, 3 July 2022 (UTC)
- @Charlesreid1: Twinkle is your friend for this sort of thing. Each type of page lists what speedy deletion criteria should be used. BangJan1999 21:35, 3 July 2022 (UTC)

finswimming events aren't notable
Be advised, I have nominated all these 2022 finswimming event articles for deletion. This is a consequence of you contesting my A7. When Wikipedia discusses credible claims to notability, what we mean is how the subject and the sources provided pass some element of WP:N. You are welcome to make your !vote at the deletion discussion. Chris Troutman (talk) 16:00, 10 July 2022 (UTC)
- @Chris troutman: A7 refers to an article that doesn't make a credible claim of significance, which is not the same as notability. BangJan1999 18:44, 10 July 2022 (UTC)

I hope you know what "long-term abuse" means, in case you have seen the contributions of the blocked sockpuppet. As such, I hope you recognise that the G5 would be valid. JavaHurricane 17:34, 25 July 2022 (UTC)
- @JavaHurricane: Fair enough. I would recommend however specifying the sockpuppeteer in question so people don't the same mistake I did and erroneously remove the speedy tag.
